Considering the large number of fixtures in Double Gameweek 26, Fantasy Premier League managers have a wealth of choice for their latest captaincy decision.

But with so many players offering decent potential across their two matches, finding the right recipient for the armband could prove a challenge.

That’s where the Captain Sensible article comes in, using the statistical form of  the key candidates against the most recent defensive showings of their upcoming opponents.

As this uses extensive data from the Fantasy Football Scout Premium Members Area, only those with a valid subscription can access it in full.

CAPTAIN POLL

Harry Kane (£11.1m) leads the Double Gameweek 26 Captain Poll with over 30.0% votes from our users. The Tottenham Hotspur striker faces two bottom-six sides in Burnley and Fulham but he has only scored once in his previous four Premier League appearances.

Manchester United’s Bruno Fernandes (£11.6m) comes second this week, with 15.5% of total votes, as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men are set to play Chelsea and Crystal Palace.

İlkay Gündoğan (£6.1m) occupies the third place in the poll. However, it will be interesting to see how the results change by Friday evening, as the German international played 90 minutes in Manchester City’s Champions League match midweek.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin (£7.7m) and Raheem Sterling (£11.6m) sit in fourth and fifth, respectively, while Kevin De Bruyne (£11.8m) just misses out on this week’s top five.

                  You should get your facts straight before you open your mouth. Bruno has a high conversion rate, he has had 8 penalties I think and only missed 1, however, in total he has scored 16 goals in 20/21 so the majority aren’t penalties and has 9 assists. Leicester have had the most penalties awarded with 10 I think and Chelsea have had the same amount of penalties as Utd with City on 7. So just because he can convert don’t hate on him.

        Yeah that sounds sensible, replying on a clean sheet vs Sheffield United to make the hold worthwhile. I was considering Pickford as only 4.8, but my other keeper is Martinez so doesn’t make much sense with Villa/Ev double week coming up.

      With everything else going on, I think he is the stand out pick now. Surprisingly his ownership is still below 30% so its not like its the 'boring' move which people seem to make it out to be.

      As to whether he should be TC or just C, there wont be many DGWs left, just do it imo

          There won't be (most probably) a better time to TC someone, biggest DGW and all. Only two games to be rearranged: TOT-SOU and AVL-EVE so unless you want to wait for them and TC Kane then or use it for somebody from the other 3 teams (or in a single GW), this is the time.

      29 for me. Looking to maximise the fixtures before and after (including this GW). Currently only have 5 players who player in 29, but that includes Targett, who I probably don't want to play that week, and Martinez, who I probably wouldn't choose on a FH, and ESR, who also I probably wouldn't choose .
