HOW TO PLAY: A BRIEF GUIDE

Slightly different from the usual squad-based games, FanTeam managers are given a budget of €105m to build a team of 11 players that includes at least one goalkeeper, three defenders, two midfielders and one forward.

There is no bench or manual substitutes; instead, there is a ‘Safety Net’ feature. If a player in your Fantasy team isn’t in the starting XI for their side, they will automatically be substituted for the next priced player from the same position and club.

Captains score double points, as usual.

HOW DOES THE SCORING WORK?

FPL managers looking for a way to make their knowledge pay will have no trouble picking up this event, with its familiar scoring system.

Think of it as FPL without the bonus points, with a few other exceptions – detailed in the graphic above.

          So he's missing all those chances because he isn't there to score? Lol!

          Also, same could be said about Bruno. He's a mid, he isn't there to score, he's there to connect and assist. Has 10 assists this season, second place.

          Although he's not there to score (according to your argument) he's still second in most goals after Salah, and probably in x10 less shots on goal. Also just one more penalty than Salah...

            Firmino’s role in the team is to create space for Salah and Mane to attack. He’s constantly moving around opening gaps. He’s the glue of the team and keeps it ticking. He’s also the one who starts all of the presses and is key to the system. Most people can’t comprehend this. If he wasn’t good enough don’t you think they’d have signed a proper striker by now?

            I’m not saying Bruno is a bad player but people hail him as the second coming of Christ. I’m pretty sure he’s top 3 for most shots taken this year yet only has 7 open play goals and every one of his assists are 3 yard passes in the box. Again he’s a great player but nowhere close to the likes of KDB, Silva, etc.

              So you can justify and make excuses for everyone but Bruno? An attacking player who often is the player tracking back into his own box, the man who has to do literally everything

              No excuses for a guy that joined a team that was 14th? And have basically been second since then

                Not making excuses. Firmino is a bad finisher no doubt but people go on as if goals is the only thing that matters and that’s what they judge a player on. I made the statement that Soucek scored more open play goals than Bruno as a joke. Bruno is obviously a great player I never said he wasn’t. Don’t really understand why every one has to hate on my opinion

              Imagine if Soucek wasn't scoring, or even Zouma. Because its not their main job doesn't justify being horrible at it.

          one of the prime reasons that Liverpool is falling this season is that Firminho is shite. Liverpool fans are delusional and don't want to admit it. No.9 is there to score goals. At least double digits, 15 + hopefully

    As a Kane non-owner if he has a huge haul tonight I think I will be hanging up my boots until next season. Potential swing in points will be huge considering all the captainers/TCLers and the gloating from many of those owners will be endless. Areola - come on lad you can do this!

      I didnt own gundogan when he was 180% owned in that double and hauled, come back and planned for this double, used my BB and now just on the edge of top10k. Point is there is always ways to get the edge back on others.

      Could be wrong but I don't think Kane will haul tonight. Fulham have been a lot tighter recently. I've both Kane and Son but neither captained and two of my nearest rivals have Son captained so not really sure what to hope for.

      The reaction to anyone suggesting selling Bruno was way over the top.
      You'd swear that people somehow forgot that no player is essential in this game.
      Or they mistakingly believe that some players are essential.
      The danger game was Palace but United have a coward as a manager, so the danger was dilluted.
      Bruno won't even touch the ball Vs City. So that's 3 blanks in a row. It was reasonably predictable. Just don't post non-sheep moves on here as the reaction will always be the same.

        You sold him, I sold him for Son . Salah is now getting ever closer to the chopping block . As you say no one is essential its really about players for segments of the season. Tough getting the timing right sure , but don't try - don't succeed

            Yeah , and don't get on to the Value chasers. Made a point of checking TVs of the top 10 at end of the last 5 seasons and without fail 6 of the 10 have low to moderate TVs. Bargains always appear and indeed usually outscore the template picks in the run in . Cheers mate

                Yep it's crazy the amount of time some spend on increasing TV at the expense of points . Go on the site every early morning to witness the whoops over 2 up and none down. When will they ever learn 🙂
                That said I do try and increase TV early when I can just in case I may need it but never at the expense of points

                  Taking hits and losing pts to earn tv is simply stupid. It basically can't be gained vack. Yet on the other hand poor tv can easily become a problem if big hitters are in good form. There are still those differentials to have even if you have high tv.
