Fantasy Premier League managers are considering Manchester City assets for the captaincy as they head into another Double Gameweek.

With the runaway league leaders facing Manchester United and Southampton in the next round, it is hard to look past İlkay Gündoğan (£6.2m), Raheem Sterling (£11.6m), Kevin De Bruyne (£11.8m) or even Ederson (£6.1m), Joao Cancelo (£6.2m) and Ruben Dias (£6.1m).

Meanwhile, appealing fixtures for West Ham and Spurs, against Leeds and Crystal Palace respectively, have brought Michail Antonio (£6.5m) and Harry Kane (£11.1m) into the conversation, as well as Son Heung-min (£9.5m) and Gareth Bale (£9.3m).

CAPTAIN POLL

Gündoğan leads the Double Gameweek 27 Captain Poll with just over 30.0% of total votes. The German international got his well-deserved rest against Wolves in Double Gameweek 27, playing just eight minutes off the bench and earning an assist in that time.

Meanwhile, De Bruyne occupies second place in the poll with 18.4% of votes, as the Belgian midfielder has now started in City’s last three league games and is returning to full match sharpness.

Kane (8.7%) is currently the third-best candidate in the eyes of our readers as he prepares to face a Crystal Palace side who have one clean sheet away from home all season. 

The Spurs forward is followed by Mohamed Salah (£12.6m, 6.1%) while Dias (5.7%) looks the most likely Manchester City defender to receive tangible backing for a Double Gameweek 27 captaincy.

      Why would you sell Cancelo ahead of a DGW? Even if he played 1 game he could haul, and I wouldn't be surprised if he played both

        Why not?

        Bruno's fixtures are not very good now... I need to raise £0.2M to make my Bruno -> KDB move

          1) Forster is not nailed, he might yet lose his place. You already have Meslier for GW29 so makes this move even worse.

          2) Getting rid of a Chelsea defender well before GW29 isn't wise, they're in brilliant defensive form

          Also, how much value do you have in Bruno? Will you be able to get him back? All this to get KDB who may/may not play both games.

          But if you're he'll-bent in KDB, I'd do DCL - - > Antonio instead to fund the move.

            I bought Bruno in GW2 at £10.5M, but i have an WC so i can get him back probably in GW33.

            I don't want to lose DCL yet as he may still have a DGW28.

            I'm not keen in either of these moves, but i'm more keen in getting Veltman as will get me another GW29 player. Rudiger's value is very good, but i will always play two City defenders and i can rely in my other 3 defenders from good defences (West Ham and Brighton) that play in GW29 till my next WC

            As a reference next planned moves are:

            GW28: Salah -> Grealish
            GW29: DCL + Ings -> Kane + Antonio (-4)
            GW30: Bank FT
            GW31: WC if no DGW32 for Spurs / Southampton otherwise i'll WC in GW33

    I’d recommend forgetting about the team in the normal sense of are they good/bad, have a good run of fixtures etc, and looking at which teams are fresh right now and play in BGW29.

    Arsenal, West Ham top the list for me, with Spurs upturn in form and Palace up next worthy of inclusion too.
