It is back to basics for Fantasy Premier League managers in Gameweek 28 as we face the first round without Doubles since Gameweek 23.

However, it must be said that the captaincy conversation has been thrown wide open by this week’s fixtures.

Manchester City face a Fulham defence that has improved in recent months, Liverpool are out of form, Manchester United face a West Ham side gunning for Europe while Spurs prepare for a north London derby.

CAPTAIN POLL

Harry Kane (£11.3m, 26.5% of votes) and Bruno Fernandes (£11.5m, 24.2%) are the leaders in this week’s poll, combining for over 50.0% of our users’ votes.

Kevin De Bruyne (£11.8m, 8.5%) has been voted third this week, although with the Belgian international now having started in each of City’s previous five league games, this number could drop by Saturday morning due to rotation fears.

Ilkay Gungodan (£6.2m, 4.9%) and Dominic Calvert-Lewin (£7.7m, 4.2%) close out the top five.

      Depends on BGW29 needs. Salah / Bruno blank.
      Prefer Veltman over Burn.
      Stones now a rotation risk, yet Shaw is nailed & attacking threat.
      I'd sell Stones over Shaw. Depends if you have 3 City & would like the option of bringing a different player in. Stones blanks 29 & 33 too.

    Should I replace Calvert-Lewin (BUR, blank, CRY) with Watkins (new, TOT, FUL)?

    DCL has good games but Richarlison is outdoing him, whereas Watkins possibly has a better game week-by-week

      Simplistically Wolves have kept 2 clean sheets in their last 4. Take City's game (4 goals) out of that run they've conceded 1 goal in 3 games. So I'm not sure if their defensive frailties are being inflated. Not as good as last year, maybe not as poor as presently perceived. Will having no European games benefit them.

      Spurs attack is in much better form than Liverpool's which maybe a factor in your question.

      Depends if you're asking for a captain decision, a defensive perspective or an attacking player.

      I think there will be more goals in Arse v Tott.

    Probably use WC on GW30.
    Who should I take as the main GK?
    Leno: overall good run of fixtures until gw38 with hard in between but it's Arsenal lol.
    Mendy: good form, good fixtures on gw30-34, but not really sure to double up with another CHE def which i probably take one.
    Patricio: good run of fixtures from gw30-35, but my first thought is to take the def instead because Wolves overall not really have a good form.
    or other options?

      I looked at Pickford and Leno as potential rotating goalkeepers, they work very well together. I didn't go for this option though on my WC.

      Pickford has a double and you assume given the circumstances that he'll play the rest of the games now.
