Fplsorcerer
Phil Gill, aka @FPLSorcerer, is an incredibly successful Fantasy Premier League (FPL) veteran who can boast of two top 1k finishes, six top 5k finishes and eight top 10k finishes.
Phil sits 85th in the Career Hall of Fame and has had a great start to the season, sitting at 13,185 overall with £1.0m in the bank and two free transfers going into Gameweek 3.
Here he discusses his team plans for the weekend and beyond.
Least bad captain option?
A) Greenwood
B) Lukaku
C) Barnes
D) Richarlison
Thanks
B
If its Ashley Barnes
As your handle is Chancer go Barnes!
Haha. Thanks
Ayling or Livra is the question. All the predicted lineups have Ayling in the back three.
I am playing both. Ayling if just one.
Ok
Not much in it as both are likely to concede, have fun with Livra
Livra it is
Would you start Amartey over either Shaw or Digne?
Sorry, meant TAA not Shaw
Digne
TAA always
Pogba or Grealish?
Grealish
Let's have a sweepstake, who will throw arms in the air more times against Newcastle ?
Bruno or Ronaldo ?
Snooze
Probably the referee everytime they score a goal
Penaldo
Just wildcarded.
Son or Bruno captain?
Son
Sonny
Formals over Benrahma silly?
Most in league going Ben
Bowen will probably hit a brace today
Silly.
Benrahma will be WH player of the season. Been saying it all pre season
I See soucek outscoring both
Which one? 1FT 0.5ITB
A. Shaw to Reguilon
B. Ayling to Dier
C. Mahrez to Pogba
D. Save FT
Sanchez
TAA, Shaw, Ayling, Amartey
Salah, Bruno, Benrahma, Mahrez
Antonio, Ings
Foster, Deeney, Brownhill, White
D
E. Mahrez to Raphinha.
I’d save and keep for the IB.
Morning all
Wondering if I should play Toney, Duffy or Amartey?
Sanchez
TTA Shaw Duffy Amartey
Salah(vc) Bruno Greenwood Benrahma
Ings Antonio(c)
Foster Gilmour Toney Tsim
Guessing Toney is better choice but he’s not exactly been great recently!
I always play the attacker
I like it. But Toney should be nr 1 in the bench order.
Good to go?
Sanchez
TAA, Shaw, Amartey
Salah, Bruno, Benrahma, Greenwood
Antonio(c) Ings, Toney
Foster, Ayling, Tsimikas, Brownhill
1 free transfer &1.4m itb.
Tempted to transfer Son in for Salah then wildcard in international break.
Almost same team as me. Hopefully not a good day for Son at WHL
Pretty much same team. And I've gone for Son with IB WC.
Am having the exact same thoughts
same team… same thought… same fear…
I don’t think I could ever captain Antonio.
Always worried he gets injured
It seems such a screamingly obvious choice but that is exactly the thing. He can't be trusted.
Remember his hatrick??
I also remember his many many 1 pointers
4*
Man Utd vs Newcastle clashes with Southampton vs West Ham next week, sigh!
The mahrez problem.
Take him out for a hit or hold and pray he starts. Could even captain if we get early team news?
Probably hold and hope for best
That’s my situation too. I asked last night if anyone knows of viable leaks … fingers crossed he plays
Mahrez to
A) Raphinha
B) Greenwood
C) Jota
D) hold
A if for free
Crazy thought to do Bruno+Ings to Kane and benhrama for -4.
I wouldn't
Not crazy, especially Ronaldo in the picture. But bruno would haul have a gut feeling probably am capping him.
If you think they score higher go for it.
I am making my own final decisions this year.
Not crazy, just risky. Needs another benefit to justify i.m.o. Does it move you towards the team structure you want or give you a long term target?
Gtg & correct C?
Sanchez
Trent, Shaw, Dier
Bruno, Salah, Benny, Greenwood
Ings, Antonio C, Bamford
Steele, Amartey, Tsimikas, Gilmour.
Bold captain but could pay off. Bruno and Salah still more reliable options IMO
I don’t like Dier long-term but no point getting rid this week
Ta, just needed to tap into Spurs defence
TV: 101.2
Effective TV: 100.5 (tomorrow night).
But .2 of this will be in Antonio, so in theory I've a WC budget of 100.3.
Was only passing interested in Lukaku. Once it was clear that buying him would wreck my team, he was off the cards. Those who did buy him are now unable to further upgrade without epic moves.
But Ronaldo. He's a different beast. Will see what price. 11.5 was the opinion of some creators, so maybe it's possible.
Has there been early team news for Liverpool so far this season?
Captain Bruno now as the emotions would be high now and we need to bounce back from last week. Have a gut feeling of utd going big.
Could well happen. Never change a winning team was the mantra when I was a lad. Last week was a good example of what can happen when you do that. Modern football though isn’t it.
Yeah..mctominay was a forced one because of injury. Martial thing is just stupid.
Hard to get a read on Wolves, only conceded 2 against decent sides and one was a penalty.
Saw some highlights of spurs wolves, actually both spurs and lei were not that creative. Also wolves left spaces while attacking so chance of counter attack is there for utd. Don't know it's just a gut feeling based on all things happened around the last 24 hours. Everything seems to be positive now. Going Bruno cap.
Wolves were very unlucky/wasteful in both games against Leicester and Spurs if you go off XG. I think Utd had a much easier away game last weekend personally.
What to do here lads?? 2 fts so I have to do 1 transfer so that I have 2 next week. Thoughts??
Martinez Foster
TAA Shaw Tsimi Ayling Coufal
Salah Bruno Barnes Benrahma Gilmour
Antonio Ings Toney
Toney. Downgrade to whatever the cheapest option is (Obafemi?).
which team??
(A)
Raya
Ayling Shaw Dier
Salah Greenwood(or Pogba) Raphinha Ben
Kane Lukaku Antonio
(B)
Raya
TAA Shaw Dier Ayling
Salah Raphinha Ben
Kane Lukaku Antonio
Both team with (0.6 in the bank)
just hoping that Ronaldo's price is gonna be 12.5 not 13.0 lol
Why should the price be higher than Kane’s and Lukaku’s? Unless he’s A bad option, he’s Romsldo, but he’s 36
If the price is less than what I am expecting, that's good
However I am using wildcard this week so just preparing for the worst
Best option?
A. Bruno > Son (c)
B. Salah > Son (c)
C. Tsimikas > Livramento
D. Toney, Salah > Benrahma, Kane (c)
2 FT 1.0 ITB
Sanchez
Taa Shaw Ayling
Rapinha Salah Bruno Greenwood
Toney Antonio Ings
Ward Tsimikas Bissouma Amartey
C was a move a few days ago?
You know the risk vs reward removing Salah or Bruno.
Amartey first on bench as probably gets clean sheet?
I did D but will almost certainly WC over IB
Now contemplating Kane vs Antonio captaincy
I was looking to do C this week, but Ronaldo arrival changed all plans, now fancying Bruno to Son(C) as I already have 3 United players and couldn't bring Ronaldo for Ings for GW4. Confused
I can’t believe we’ve resigned Ronaldo. And yes I’ll re jigging the squad to get him in regardless of price.
Anyone else feel the same? 😀
It’s never regardless of price but you’re a Utd fan so I suppose it’s allowed.
It's incredible isn't it. From feeling pretty distraught and almost sick at him going to City to him coming home!
I was planning GW7 WC but instead will WC over the IB. Allows me to get Son in for Salah this week too.
I feel like having a Ronaldoless team will lead to an incredible amount of red arrows. Sort of forced into having him.
This a thing. EO because he’s a Utd player and he’s Ronaldo will be massive and you’re hardly going to bet on him flopping so he’s pretty much essential.
Fills the CF position until Haaland! 25 prem goals for 50mil that will be paid back in shirt sales! What’s not to love!
Nah Haaland is going to PSG to replace Mpabbe next summer
I'm on cloud nine since I woke up this morning and heard the confirmation...2:30pm here and still buzzing!
Leaving 0.7itb on my WC to get him in for Kane...Home to Newcastle, what a fixture for his second debut!
No Bruno, Salah, Ronaldo league?
League rules already set but yeah the teams won't be as differential from now on!
Why higher price than Kane’s and Lukaku’s? Unless he’s A bad option, he’s Ronaldo, but he’s 36
Lukaku scored 24 goals last season, Ronaldo 29!
Tbh Ronaldo's 36 is like others 30
Haven't got over yet.
I think you're bonkers (in a nice way). The Premier League will put a brake on his goal scoring. I don't understand all this jizzing over him. Wait and see will be my plan.
I've changed my undies seven times already today!
Start Livramento or Amartey?
Liv
Good to roll FT? Or do I need rid of Sarr? (He do have nice fixtures after IB) 1.0 ITB
Sanchez/Steele
TAA Shaw Ayling
Salah Bruno Barnes Sarr
Wilson Ings Antonio
(Brownhill Tsimi Omo)
G2G, fingers crossed Barnes plays cos you have no bench (I'm in a similar boat)
True - just can’t bring myself to bin him before Norwich. Last chance for him in my squad though…
Do you think it's worth Wildcarding over the IB do change your team around and get Ronaldo and Lukaku?
I think I only will have one of them plus Salah.
This
Just tried one with all 3 and Trent. Rest of the team doesn't look too hot. That said I've lost a fair bit of value already.
As long as my team and forwards are doing great, i dont think so personally.
I’ll be keeping Bruno until GW8 then selling to fund big Rom.
Not considering Ronnie yet but would have to sell Trent and/or Mo to get the budget I think
No - value in waiting I'd say
Team set. Only issue remaining:
Who do I captain?
A: Antonio
B: Son
I'm capping Son just because I dont want to over-rely on WHM. Silly reason but it is what it is.
Haaland 😉
Finally got him this week, not a bad start! 😀
B
B
Start sarr or bissouma?!
Sarr
Sarr
Sarr
A little long post. Please bear with me.
Would you:
A. Sell Mane for Son cap (-4) this gw and do Ings to Ronaldo directly if Ronaldo is 11.5m else Ings + Greenwood to Ronaldo + Raphinha/Traore (-4) in gw4.
OR
B. Hold Mane this week, cap Antonio and do Mane + Ings to Ronaldo + Raphinha/Traore (-4) in gw4. This option let's me keep Greenwood and also gives me cash to get TAA in for Tsimikas. No Son though.
Cheers.
First time in my life Im going to a PL match.
Timing couldnt have been better because I bought tickets(couple weeks ago) for Man utd - Newcastle!
Would be great seeing C. Ronaldo in action.
So jealous...you must be buzzing!
Yeah really excited! Atmposhere looked great vs Leeds. Now especially with first home game with CR7.
And if ASM can put together some magic on the pitch it will be worth the money!
Enjoy fella! What an occasion
Thx!
Good job! Have fun.
Thx!
Enjoy
Thx!
Enjoy it. Huge moment in the clubs history. I’m absolutely buzzing
Will certainly do!
