Cristiano Ronaldo’s FPL price and position revealed

Cristiano Ronaldo has finally been priced up by Fantasy Premier League (FPL) following the completion of his transfer from Juventus to Manchester United.

The 36-year-old striker has been listed as a forward in FPL and comes in at £12.5m, making him the joint-most expensive player in the game alongside Mohamed Salah.

Ronaldo is £1.0m pricier than Romelu Lukaku (£11.5m) and some £400k dearer than Bruno Fernandes (£12.1m), who many Fantasy managers are seemingly offloading in order to fund a move for his incoming compatriot.

The former Juve and Real Madrid man’s FPL price, as is the case with all new additions, will be locked for seven days upon his Tuesday lunchtime inclusion in the game.

Fernandes remains, for now, the most-owned player in the game despite the 100,000+ sales since the Gameweek 3 deadline.

    Apologies if this has been discussed at nauseam, but how may points/goals do you reckon Ronaldo scores this season?

    I'm looking at the historical scoring of premium forwards (Vardy,Lukaku), and for Vardy, he has scored over 20 goals 3 times, all seasons where he played over 3,000 minutes and never scored over 211 points.

    Lukaku's best return was 221, playing 3266 minutes

    Do you see Ronaldo somehow matching Salah at 230+ points? Will he even match Lukaku for 1 million less?

    I agree that the premium midfielder pool is dwindling, but it's a reminder how difficult it can be to keep up with midfielder scoring with one less point for goals, no CS points.

        I agree. Honestly, someone like Son (who I'm not planning to bring in) can likely outscore Ronaldo over the season. Ronaldo has the captaincy factor, but I don't see him scoring over, say 210 points. I need to do some maths but I just don't see a Salah 230+ score for him

        Yeah, Ronaldo had 29 G, 3 A last year in the league for Juve. That's about the same as Kane in 2017-18 (29 G, 2 A, 217 pts). Taking into account that the Prem is tougher than Serie A, he'll probably score slightly less than this.

      think it might be easier for forwards to get bonus points the last couple of years - but yeah I do prefer capping midfielders for those reasons at the end

        there are some long articles at length that discuss this and yes goals matter and scoring them gives a massive baseline score, so that will help. I do wonder if some of the other elements of his game might be a negative for the bonus system however. it would be an interesting topic for an article i suppose.

      I see Ronaldo outscoring Salah, Ronaldo has averaged 32 goals for the past 10 seasons which equates to 180 pts and that is without any bonus pts or assists being added.... can't see why he can't continue that form.

          I really do. For the reason he is away on internationals, almost no training with the team and cavani who will stay at the club for the break.
          I see no reason why Ole would need to 'risk' him from the start at home vs new, when he could easily could be sub around 60min.
          But hell, who knows.

    Personally feel Ronaldo is going to walk into the starting 11 for Newcastle. We have been desperately needed a Striker for last 2 games and that could be seen when Ole sent on Cavani on the 51st min.

    If fit and starting for Portugal I cannot see Ronaldo not starting against Newcastle.
