Four Gameweeks have passed and I thought it might be a good idea to take note of some statistics from the Premium Members Area that have caught my eye so far. Of course, I know that four Gameweeks is not a sufficient sample size, so I will try my best to contextualise things as well.

SALAH’S CREATIVITY

It is not like we needed any more reason to strengthen our belief in Mohamed Salah (£12.5m) but the fact remains that there is a greater case for him now simply because the avenues to points have increased. He’s always had incredibly strong underlying numbers when it comes to goal threat, which is also the case this year. Only two players, Sadio Mane (£11.9m) and Michail Antonio (£7.9m), have had more big chances, shots and shots in the box than him. This is something we always expect from the Egyptian.

The cherry on the cake, though, is that Salah is also table-topping the creative stats. Only two players are ahead of him in the chances created and the big chances created metrics. His historical chances created per 90 minutes numbers are below:

That is all from me for this Gameweek. I hope you enjoyed reading this article and I will see you next week!

In the meantime, if you want more information and thoughts about the Gameweek, do check out our latest episode of The FPL Wire below:

So Salah captain or take a risk with Jota, TAA, F.Torres, Bamford or Lukaku?

Doesnt he/Liverpool have a bad home record vs Palace? Is that even a factor??

Not from what i can see, Liverpool have won the last 3 games 2-0(H), 7-0(A), 4-0(H) against palace.

Is Benhrama, Tsimikas > 4.4, TAA worth -4?

If so does anyone know if either Mendy (lei) or Delph have any chance of minutes in the next few weeks?

I’m just keeping an eye on Gallagher. Having said that, I said I’d keep an eye on him from the beginning; he’s done very well and I still don’t have him. So I’m most sure what my eyes are for exactly.

I'm excited about Gallagher. I could get him for Harrison, but I have to give Harr a chance with those fixtures. Gallagher's are not great so I can monitor for a while.
I'd say Gray is a better fpl prospect that Doucoure.

    DIGNE to SEMEDO for free?

Digne seems less attacking and for 5.5 you want some returns. Semedo has good fixtures and his stats are promising but Digne has Villa this week. Could get burnt.

    1. Haa-lala-land
      • 5 Years
      5 years, 28 days ago

Digne has definitely been reigned in by Rafa, so assists are less likely. Semedo traditionally has never achieved many goals or assists.
From Wolves most recent game against Watford, Semedo had opportunities but didn't have the ability to convert. So I'd argue that neither are that exciting, and try and go up to a Reece James or Alonso before they go up

Hey all - bottomed in last article!

    This is my current team:

    Mendy - Foster
    TAA - Digne - Shaw - Dier - Tsimi
    Salah - Bruno - Barnes - Benrahma - Harrison
    Antonio - Jimenez - Scarlett

I am really tempted to hit the WC, since everyone else in my ML did it last GW - this is the squad I've considered on a WC:

    Schmeichel - Ward
    TAA - Cancelo - Semedo - Rudiger/James - B. Williams
    Salah - Jota - Torres - Raphinha - Doucoure
    Lukaku - Jimenez - Scarlett

    How does that team look?
Enough for me to hit the WC button?

Good WC team. What would your move be this week if you dont WC? Seems you don't even have 11 playing players.

Help! First time poster with a dilemma I'd be grateful for advice on from the FFS community (please). My 343 team is currently:

    Sanchez, steele
    TAA, Shaw, White, tsimikas, amartey
    Salah, Fernandes, Greenwood, Torres, brownhill
    DCL*, Antonio*, Toney

I have 1 FT and 0 ITB and was considering WC in GW7 or 8. Do I:

    A) DCL > Bamford (after Bielsa's press conference) and then play Tsimikas this week in the hope Robbo's rested, otherwise likely to play Brownhill
    B) DCL + Fernandes > Lukaku + Raphinha for a -4, with the intention of upgrading Tsimikas or Amartey to James or Rudi before GW7 and then save the WC for later

    Thanks in advance

Definitely B and upgrade your defense in your WC with a Chelsea and a Wolves defender. Glad you are on James. I am going James for Shaw on GW 7 WC and bring Shaw back around December for United's remarkable run of good fixtures.

Thanks JCA, yes it's the more tempting of the two, bit more exciting and forward thinking. The thing holding me back is last year was my first year playing, I took a lot of hits that didn't pay off, and I'm trying to take a few as possible this year as a sort of experiment. But this feels (famous last words) worth it...

I've gone for the Ronaldo and Lukaku double given DCL and Antonio are out (cost me 8pts). Also own Salah so trying the 3 premium tactic! Here's my team, any thoughts welcome.

    B) Coufal to Semedo, tough fixture for Coufal but good run for Semedo

    Sanchez (Steele)

    R.James - Semedo - TAA - White (Livra)

Salah - Jota - Grey - Townsend (Gallagher)

    Wildcard activated....

    Sa
    Semedo Digne Matip
    Salah Raphinha Gray Sarr
    Lukaku Ronaldo Antonio
    (Foster, Sissoko, Livramento, Williams)

0.7m in the bank for Digne & Matip >> R. James & Rudiger in GW7

Any thoughts? Midfield a bit weak from GW7 onwards maybe... just hoping the strong defence and attack make it worth the sacrifice!

    1. Jay Arell

That is my main worry... had him before the wildcard and swapped him for Matip to free up funds.

Here's the WC team I'm looking at, do like it barring 1-2 players. What do you folks think?

    Sanchez/Steele

    TAA/Shaw/Semedo/Marcal/Williams

    Salah/Gray/Torres/Raphinha/Sissoko

    Ronaldo/Lukaku/Street

    0.4 ITB

Sanchez or shift to someone else at 4.5?
    Keep Torres till he's benched?
    Gray vs Gallagher?

    1. Jafalad
      • 16 Years
      5 years, 29 days ago

      Sanchez is fine.
      Keep Torres.
I would swap Shaw for a CHS defender.
I think double WOL in D is too much. Bring in Livramento.
Midfield is very dependent on Salah. I don't think I would want that.

      1. Jay Arell
        • 9 Years
        5 years, 29 days ago

I think double Wolves D could work with their amazing fixtures and good form, but it is a little risky I agree. Especially as it would be every week in a 4-4-2.

      2. The Red Devil
        • 11 Years
        5 years, 29 days ago

Livramento faces Man city & Chelsea in his next 3 fixtures, i definitely trust wolves defence more than saints, plus the wingbacks seem to be the creative source for them, willing to give them 3-4 GWs, otherwise an easy switch to James/Rudiger. Midfield isn't dependent on salah, Gray will be much more attacking with DCL out (not expecting Rondon to play every minute) Raphinha is literally the one good thing about Leeds right now, he's likely to be involved whenever leeds score

    2. A19
      • 9 Years

I'm toying between this exact same team and another one which has Reece James and Adama instead of Marcal and Torres. I'm still unsure about Torres with KDB and Foden back but it's definitely attractive. Also Shaw can be moved to a Chelsea def in GW 7. I'm slightly leaning towards the Marcal and Torres option as I feel it has more upside (we're on WC, we have to take some calculated risks 😉

      1. The Red Devil
        • 11 Years
        5 years, 29 days ago

he is a risk, but torres seems to be doing well & not missing chances, he seems to be subbed off before 90 in every game, that shows that pep wants to protect him, could be a sign, will reassess if he's benched often, can always switch it around GW7-8. but till then GW5-8 can be attacked with a few differential picks/combos

Hit for a defender usually not a good idea, but if it's either Coufal or Semedo every GW til GW8 then it should pay off I think.

    From next week:

    A) Bamford, Antonio, Jota
    B) ASM, Lukaku, Kovacic

Anyone care to rate the WC team?

    Sanchez
    Semedo / TAA / James
    Salah / Jota / Raphinha / Gray
    Ronaldo / Antonio* / Bamford

    (Steele Marcal Livramento Sissoko)

Would be a 4-4-2 for this week then 3-4-3 once Antonio is back. Ron to Rom in GW7

Will need to move Jota in a couple of GWs, solid besides that. I'm onto 3 premiums, but that's an individual choice.

What to do with Kane? Switch to Ronaldo or keep and bring in Ronaldo?
