We at Fantasy Football Scout are always keen to hear feedback and learn from our site readers, podcast listeners and YouTube viewers, so we’re giving you another (final!) reminder about our mid-season surveys.

You might remember the end-of-season survey that we carried out before the start of 2021/22. We were delighted to get over 1,000 responses to that, and it’s been absolutely crucial in helping us move things forward and to see where we stand.

Following up on that, we’d greatly appreciate it if you could spare 15 minutes or so filling by filling out this latest min-questionnaire which can be accessed by clicking here.

Separately, if you’ve used the Fantasy Football Scout Transfer Planner since its implementation a few months ago, there’s a separate survey for that here. This one will take less than five minutes to complete.

Thanks again for your feedback and time but most of all your continued support of the site.

I'm assuming RAN is far from nailed now? Last 2 fixtures, came on as a sub, subbed off, time to sell?

      Nope

Came on as a sub: rested
      Subbed off: got a knock

The substitution: he was being treated in the 88th minute. Lage probably decided not to take any risks, especially since he still had a sub to spare

Marçal has done nothing all season to earn a start over RÄN. The only real threat would be Jonny, who still hasn't played

I thought he played really well. Depends on how bad the knock was. Marcal came on and was rubbish as usual

He was taking up some attacking positions and not just on the wing, he was lurking around the box. Had a fairly decent shot on goal in the first half

Assuming Weggy is fit, do you bring him in for King(mun) or Edouard(BUR)? ̶O̶b̶v̶i̶o̶u̶s̶l̶y̶ Arguably King has the hardest fixture, but Edouard is far from nailed (why?) and I have no subs.

    Likely WC or FH gw28

King because of upside of Edouard. I think you're probably gambling King's 2 pointer vs 1 from Edouard as the floor.

How do you cross out a word on FFS?

Gotta sell the guy who might not start, I think

And, weirdly enough, Burnley defence has better form than Man U's atm, so King gets a stay of execution

I have £2.1m. I'm concerned that Edouard won't play as I have no subs. It's only for one week, hence looking at getting Weggy for DGW.

All my 50/50 desisions have gone wrong lately.

Was gonna go with Webster in 25 but went with Dunk.
Was gonna go with Kane in 26 but went with Lacazette.

Any advice how I handle these kind of situatuions because I keep talking to Captain Hindsight in my head?

    1. The Mentaculus

Webster/Dunk = pure bad luck imo, forget it
Kane/Laca = possibly the wrong call, but on paper MCI wasnt an obvious jumping on point for Kane & Laca is a fine pick given DGW(s) & lack of other options

The Webster one was just unlucky in your case. I went for Cathcart instead in my 50/50 call… which is harder to justify!

I guess the way I think about, to avoid beating yourself up about results, is: did I make the right decision on the basis of the information I had at the time (forgetting actual result), or did I overlook sth (e.g. Kane's recent underlying stats)?

      1. Ze_Austin
        • 7 Years

Yup. I don't spend time on results, because there are too many factors

Waaaaaaayyyyy too many factors. Funnily enough, my reasoning for a decision can come into play the next GW instead, when I don't need it...

Just focus on the next decision, and make sure it's logical enough to you

      Swerving Chelsea until GW31

Going chipless for BGWs 27 and 30, so Digne is in the James spot, and he has a nice double

Probably getting just James in GW31. I'll see what info we have by then on the likes of Ziyech, Mount and Lukaku, but I don't expect much

No space for Rüdiger for me: TAA Cancelo James/Digne Tierney Aït-Nouri

    Fernandes, Bowen, Ramsey
    Broja, Watkins, Dennis

I've already got 10 players so looking just to move Saka -> JWP or other - make sense? Got one FH and BB left and want to keep both for DGWs and scrape through this week without FH. Sound OK?

Would it make sense to move Watkins on for Jimenez (-4)?

I only have 1FH left too. I understand your pain.

I think Son could haul against Leeds, but the question is does that haul outscore Bruno vs Watford + 4...

Bruno to Son straight swap may be worth it, but for a -4... I don't like it.

Exactly! This will be my dilemma this week.
I’m leaning towards the hit just because I want Son long term and I was set to sell Bruno after this week anyway. Leeds are just so poor and Watford are doing better defensively under Roy.

Thing is Bruno has a fairly good fixture this week and Salah blanks but if you're saving a chip for next few, it seems a waste of transfers to sell and bring Mo back in. Esp as he doubles in 29. Without any chips, your transfers will be very valuable

Probably due to navigating around GW27 players.
Alot of the players that picked up points, this gw, aren't playing in gw27.

Not so many hauls elsewhere in the template

The 4 clean sheets from random teams didn't help either, without attacking returns for most popular defenders

Salah x 2 = 20, and then 22 points elsewhere. Considering this for around 4m+ dead teams, it's explicable

    1. Reguilon to roberts (-4)
    2. King to weghorst (-4)
    3. Don’t do anything

2 likely to bring in more points. I am eyeing Dunk to Mee and King to Weghorst (-4) but just sitting on that transfer until Burnley have played. Though i know there may be some small price rises.

But King is with double in 28. Maybe missed weghorst transfer…

King is my worst transfer of the season. Huge mistake, by bringing him in.

I have no idea what chip strategy to go with. I have 2xFH, WC and BB available. Im able to field XI this week with no hits, granted not the best XI. Anyone in a similar position? What’s your chip strategy?

    My team is;

    Sanchez
    Cancelo Coufal Dalot Livramento
    Son Foden Cornet Bowen
    King Dennis

    Ramsdale* Watkins Salah* TAA*

I have similar team and same chips. FH this week cover Burnley, United, City and Spurs. Then in good shape to navigate 28 & 29 with FT's, maybe a hit. Then can FH 30 and use my WC when i feel i need it after that

Thanks for your advice. Am I not better off FH in GW28? There are way more doubles, with Chelsea likely getting one too. As it stands, I don’t have many players for the GW28 double.

Played my FH this week and good thing that I did cause team is not in so good shape. Now back to GW27...would you WC now or do some -4 to field 11 and then WC gw28?

It's nice to be rich on FH 🙂

    Pope
    Cancelo Mee Dalot
    Fernandes Son Mahrez Foden Sancho
    Kane Weghorst
    (3.9 Broja Amartey Tsimikas)

Sancho the big differential that few can afford. Broja the perfect first sub to cover for getting the City mids wrong.

Its a double edged sword having a High TV. Tempts you into what you can afford rather than whether thats the best option. For example, I think I prefer Sterling/kdb to Foden

Ironically, Foden is there because I can't afford Sterling/KdB if I want Sancho.

I do like Sancho this week and I have the door open.

Basically the template is Sterling + Broja vs Foden + Sancho. I think since I have the second door open while others can't afford it, I take it.

I like Sancho. I cant afford Bruno so Sancho is the easy option for me. I would probably go with Bruno if I could afford him. BTW, great video on meet the manager.

107.2 at the start of the week.

I much prefer Mee over Roberts. Palace and Leicester are the two worst teams at defending set pieces.

Very high TV I’ve got Livra, Sissoko & Sterling over your Amartey, Sancho & Foden.

    Sanchez (Foster)
Livra / Cancelo / Coufal* (TAA* / Tierney*)
Bowen / Bruno / Ramsey / Cornet (Salah*)
    Dennis / King / Ronaldo

    Hello Morning Crew

    Pope
    Livramento. Williams, Cancelo, Dawson
    Son, Coutinho, Bowen
    Kane, Weghorst, Broja

Can get this team for GW27 with a -4. Do it or use FH?
