FPL team reveals: Hall of Fame managers’ Gameweek 1 drafts

Two of the top three managers in Fantasy Football Scout’s Hall of Fame have exclusively revealed their Fantasy Premier League (FPL) teams ahead of Friday’s Gameweek 1 deadline.

These are the cream of the crop; the FPL bosses who haven’t just racked up one outstanding overall rank but several of them.

The Hall of Famers have been good enough to share their drafts with us ahead of Gameweek 1 although we’ve ‘anonymised’ their teams as per their wishes – perhaps you don’t get to where they are in the Hall of Fame without keeping some things close to your chest!

TEAM REVEALS

WHO ARE THE TOP MANAGERS IN OUR HALL OF FAME?

  • Fábio Borges: The Hall of Fame number 1. Has finished in the top 5k in each of the last seven seasons and never outside of the top 20,000.
  • Finn Sollie: Eight top 10k finishes in the last 12 seasons, including three inside the top 500 in the last six years.
  • John Canning: Two successive top 200 finishes, following on from another in 2011/12.

      Tough one but I see Richarlison being used as more of a cup/europe player to take some pressure off of Kane/Son up front. Guess a lot depends on Kulu's form but would say to start with Kulu's place has got to be solid.

      No Robertson I don't like. You can get 3 premiums with taa and robbo and a 5.0 and 4.5 defender. Switch to 433 if you want three premiums

          Aaronson. He'll only play wide because James is banned and Sinisterra injured. James back GW2 so Aaronson potentially moves back to the middle behind Bamford.

          Rodrigo got a hattrick last pre-season game but was very average other than that.

      Strong Bench v Weak Bench?

      Are Neto/Bailey/Perisic too ‘good’ to always have one of them on the bench.
      It’ll probably be Neto GW1, Perisic GW2 and maybe Bailey GW3.

    Tempted by Kane but I don't want to book in a transfer to Haaland for gw2 and my plan is really to focus on rotations on my 8m midfielder to target fixtures each week, with a move to get Wilson out by gw3 for Jesus (hopefully has dropped a bit after blanking palace lol).

    Villa fixtures look very tempting too, so I'm tempted to swap Wilson for Watkins and Digne>Spurs defender, but I have NO IDEA who Conte is going to start at LWB or RWB, any thoughts?

    Spurs in training today: players in bibs usually are team that starts the game.
    Lloris; Romero, Dier, Lenglet; Emerson, Hojbjerg, Bentancur, Sess; Kulu, Kane, Son

      Having just Kulu gw1 will give you less headaches heading into gw2, where haaland is simply essential I think, and then you have the choice of kulu to foden or mahrez, GL

      My initial thought was "does he have about 5m in the bank"!
      Closer look says it prob eaten up in that defence, which is strong but id downgrade a couple and get Salah
