FPL team reveals: Hall of Fame managers’ Gameweek 1 drafts

Two of the top three managers in Fantasy Football Scout’s Hall of Fame have exclusively revealed their Fantasy Premier League (FPL) teams ahead of Friday’s Gameweek 1 deadline.

These are the cream of the crop; the FPL bosses who haven’t just racked up one outstanding overall rank but several of them.

The Hall of Famers have been good enough to share their drafts with us ahead of Gameweek 1 although we’ve ‘anonymised’ their teams as per their wishes – perhaps you don’t get to where they are in the Hall of Fame without keeping some things close to your chest!

TEAM REVEALS

WHO ARE THE TOP MANAGERS IN OUR HALL OF FAME?

  • Fábio Borges: The Hall of Fame number 1. Has finished in the top 5k in each of the last seven seasons and never outside of the top 20,000.
  • Finn Sollie: Eight top 10k finishes in the last 12 seasons, including three inside the top 500 in the last six years.
  • John Canning: Two successive top 200 finishes, following on from another in 2011/12.

    Martinelli likely to be in my GW1 team but I cant say Im as much as a fan as everyone seems to be. I had him in my team last season and he got 1 assist in about 5 weeks. Always looks glued to the touchline and not enough involvement in the penalty area.

    First 6 GWs RMT has:

    Ramsdale - 24.62 points
    Sanchez + Ward rotation - 21.90 pts
    Ward + Iversen 8.0m - 20.90 pts

    Been on all 3, currently on Sanchez and Ward. Tempted to do Ward and Iversen, having seen the above numbers, and bank the 0.5m. Thoughts?

      I've had similar draft. I like Saliba but just worry whether he keeps the spot after first few weeks, same on walker. I'd be tempted to drop to Sanchez or even Iversen for keeper and use the money to upgrade defence. you could even do James > Robbo

          Any transfer outside of a free one is 4 points.

          So in an ideal world sure, plan to use a FT to move Kane to Haaland for GW2. But what if a player gets injured, dropped and you need to move someone on.

          Im just not a fan of starting the GW1 or post WC with "planned" free moves. Alot can change
