Tough one, seen a lot on here suggesting hold best but highly tempted to make the switch to Darwin before his price rise and another Kane price drop.

If Kane does turn up though, then could be a very nice differential against Wolves then Forest

Same dilemma. Think I will do B before further price changes. You can always buy Kane back after the price drop. Or use the extra funds to upgrade midfield and get Kulu in for Spurs cover.

I have a solution, sell Neto, upgrade one of your defenders and play him. That way you do not have money rotting on your bench.

Make a call on how you think Chelsea and Spurs plays out and then bench A or B.

If you’re not going to play Neto this week then you shouldn’t have bought him.

This is one of the reasons for my super early wildcard. Couldn’t bear seeing Neto/Bailey stinking up my team most weeks. Cue both of them scoring this weekend xD

I never select such players but this time I don't know why I selected both Neto and Bailey. Feeling very bad about it now

Yeah I agree at the moment until we’ve seen a bit more from the cheap mids at least - with the cheap defenders there’s always a chance of a random clean sheet or something (especially with options as seemingly strong as Saliba)

probably not a great week to be getting James, if you want to protect team value I'd maybe do Saliba and then get James for someone else next week

Walker over Cancelo is my only worry - hoping being able to keep Jesus AND have an 8.0 MID covers it.

Only Pep knows. My concern is unless you own KDB, all of Man City’s attacking midfielders are a rotation risk, particularly against the likes of Bournemouth at home.

Grealish was poor last week so foden may play left and Mahrez comes in or pep may opt to keep as he did week 1. It’s in the lap of the Gods and the risk you take with city

yeah, i'm doing it with Ward, Andreas, Neco, Patterson gw3, like yours they all have good fixtures and its a 100% genuine fodder bench, so no wasted funds whatsoever to plan for it

They are three good benchers ... if they look like playing in GW3 then I'd certainly consider it. Waiting for that "magical week" for BB usually ends in disappointment.

Not having Cancelo is scary but I think Walker + 8.0 MID is better if you can nail your player correctly.

Saying the 2 combined will outscore 1 plus a bench forward that barely gets minutes. It's possible that Salah still outscores both often. Horrible moves. Yet another post GW1 what was point of starting with non starting 4.5m striker in first place

Trippier is away to Brighton, who were playing well last season and have started this season just where they left off - albeit against a poor united. Do i think Newcastle keep a cleansheet against Brighton? Nope. So it's all about who has a greater assist potential, and on the Fulham v Liverpool game Andreas showed promise on the eye test.

It's a complete 50/50 for me at the moment out of them two. Andreas could play in a 3-5-2 or Trippier in a 4-4-2

would expect Andreas to get 8-10 attacking returns this year (if he stays in first XI), so he will have his uses

No but I arguably should. I think if you’re wildcarding GW1 though you probably have to wildcard to something pretty safe - the main reason I went for something a bit different to begin with was for fun so I don’t want to go back on that to wildcard and play safe. Might as well go all in now

I think it’s KDB or nothing from their midfield long term but there’s always spells you can back one of the others for a little while. I think Foden’s the best of the rest and probably the one most highly rated by Pep.

I don’t have anything very insightful to say on your point but I think you’re right - probably shooting opportunities reduced, but more assists. Maybe too simplistic though

From what we saw Grealish & Foden were super wide and KDB and Gundogan pushed forward as a duo to support Haaland.
Walker and Cancelo then pushed into that midfield space that KDB & Gundo vacated.

However - they were playing against a very disciplined WH team who didn't really test them the other direction due to injury and set up. (MC had 2 shots on goal all game - the two goals...that's it).

If this structure continues I fully expect Gundogan to become fantasy viable - especially if Bernardo goes to Barca. City only really gave KDB, Gundo & Silva to play those roles, though it would be super fun to see Foden as an 8.

I had assumed I'd want Foden or Grealish but neither of them interest me based on gw1.

This is why I don’t agree with the narrative that FPL got the prices wrong. Still so much to think about

He is a very good player but Saka and Kuluveski cost less and are better options at this point.
