Just wait it out, there are still matches to be played. Using 2 transfers on a 4.5 mid and a player like Walker is also not that enticing.

    1FT + 0.5 itb

    Ederson
    TAA, James, Cancelo, Cash
    Salah, Mount, Martinelli, Bailey
    Haaland, Jesus
    (Ward, Neco, Andreas, Greenwood)

    A) Cash > Zinchenko
    B) Cash > Saliba
    C) Bailey > Dasilva
    D) Cash + Bailey > Saliba + Rodrigo (-4 and has to happen now)

If none of the above then any other ideas?

Just catching up on the post game analysis, I am convinced Gary Neville is a robot. He has said the same thing every time his team loses a game for the past 2 seasons maybe more, no analysis whatsoever

By the way Redknapp's "look at me when I'm talking to you" won't be topped as the moment of the season

Man United supporters always love to point the finger at someone. Not really aware of what they're saying it seems. They spend money but spend it badly. The Glazers have made bad appointments but you can't blame the Glazers for allowing the manager ALL Man United fans wanted in charge, to sign that crap centre back for £55m or whatever it was.

Was the same when they had Ole and he wasted £80m on Maguire, £50m on Wan-Bissaka. There wasn't ONE Man United fan questioning those signings, they were all delighted. Very deluded bunch.

Maybe because he is absolutely right and no one is taking note, what analysis do you expect from a team of losers who make no effort and steal a living from football with a heirarchy who do not invest, as Neville pointed out just using the income and commercial receipts, not their own money. Ten Hag seemed to have no clue in his interview, at least Neville points out they do not work hard and definitely do not play for the shirt, what more do you want to hear on an abject performance that is obvious to all!

The income and commercial receipts is their own money though. They’re the owners of the club. I’m not even sure it’d help if they invested even more given this is the result of outspending absolutely every other club over certain periods of time. It’s over a billion pounds. The spend is not the issue.

Look what Spurs have made - new stadium, new training facilities, new good sports director and then... they also got Conte who United didnt want....
          So yes Gary is right

Yeah all of that probably cost less than what Utd have spent though. The spend isn’t the problem but rather where they’ve spent it is.

They have spent none of their own money, not invested a penny was the point Neville was making, however i don't disagree with you the money they have spent has been wasreful with no strategy and the managers have had to suffer the same attutude from the players made up of overpaid and prima donna's. I mean where is the plan for the future when you get players like Cavani and Ronaldo as good as they are, that's not a strategy for the future. The Glazers have it for status not for football, they don't have a clue about how to structure a football club in the PL and that is fundamentally the problem.

      2. Pep's Money Laundry
        • 10 Years

At some point, the players need to be blamed for what happens on the pitch, blaming the glazers every week is a cop out.

By the way talking about spending, Liverpool's owners have not spent a single penny of their own money on the squad. The same would probably apply to a lot of non billionaire owners who don't have money to burn

Nobody says this is not also true. They are just not so competent.
I am hearing that Old Trafford is also in bad shape - is this coach or players fault too?

The transfers usually happen in the end of August. It doesnt matter who is the manager. Klopp and Guardiola, or Conte will never be okay with this for example. The reasons are clear

  13. NATSTER

    Dasilva
    - he scored 2 goals from 2 shots outside the box (surely unsustainable)
    - he have competition and might not start
    - if he starts, he could be hooked off early
    - he looks like a trap

    But
    - his price is about to rise on Saturday night
    - as 4.5m MID who scored 2 goals and many 5.0m / 5.5m failed to deliver, he will be very likely to rise again before deadline
    - Brentford have good fixtures and good rotation with Fulham
    - no reason to quickly change a winning team

It sounds like using 1 FT for Bailey > Dasilva now is not too bad. Keep another 1 FT for handling other case.

        it looks possible.

not including tonight, there will be 6 price changes before next deadline.

anyway, influencers seem to say 'no' to this and that might slow down transfers.

I have the same feeling he's a trap especially when Mikkel Damsgaard is up and running.

That said he'll rise so won't have to worry about him dropping for a while makes him handy bench fodder.

I'm quite tempted to free up the 0.5m from Bailey as I'll play Andreas next week anyway I think.

I expect nothing from him really - I'll play one of him, Andeas and Neco each week but on that basis of safe from a drop fodder that may even earn an extractable value before the trap is sprung he aint bad just don't expect much more.

Wish I'd never swapped Steele to Ward, then I wouldn't have to decide. Cost me 3 points GW1.
      It's a decision again GW3.

Was foden taken off due to tactics/rest or was there an injury cloud?

Haaland kicked him in the mouth at halftime for not squaring it, Pep had to hook him.

    Big question.

Play Ward (vs S'hampton at home) or Sanchez (away to West Ham)?

    And start Trippier or Andreas?

      Play Ward & Andrea’s

Have the same 2 gk, I'm leaning towards Sanchez, Brighton look more solid than Leicester at the back.
Also out of the 2 fixtures w.ham v Bri has more chance of a 0-0 to it. Lei v Sou just screams goals

Is there much difference between a 4.5 mid or a 5.5 mid? Rather have the extra 1M

Think of it like 1pt per mil, higher cost more likely to score more by season end

Eze would be my punt as well if I take a hit to get rid of both Bailey and Cash. 0.5 short if not.

Post Monday would definitely be the plan unless Bailey looks like dropping - I saved 0.5 mil in case Bailey didn't work out so 1 FT is enough

Planned to move CWilson for GW3
Mbeumo has an exceptional string of fixtures coming up
Marti miss was my bad and needs fixing

    CWilson to Mbeumo
    Bailey to Martinelli

    Cooling on my Darwin plan
    CWilson to Darwin
    Robo to Walker

    Ya like either?
