Is Mitrović for Toney good idea on FT had Toney 3 weeks been disappointing

Mitrovic just looks like one of those assets which you pick and forget about.

Toney has better fixtures. Mitrovic is in form but terrible fixtures (Spurs, Chelsea next). Its the fixtures that keeping me away from Mitrovic just. If thinking rationally, I will buy him after the Chelsea match.

I think long term Mitrovic outscores Toney this season, so yes but maybe wait until after the Spurs fixture 😉

Before the deadline, I did James --> Struijk in order to field 3 defenders, and this is how the team looks next GW:

    Sanchez
    Cancelo, Trippier, Neco
    KDB (c), Sterling, Martinelli, Gross
    Haaland, Jesus, Toney

    (Ward, Saliba, Struijk, Andreas)
    1FT, 1.9m in the bank

Early thoughts for the FT? Several upgrades are possible with the money and I am confused:
    A) Cancelo ➝ Trent
    B) Cancelo ➝ James
    C) Toney ➝ Darwin
    D) Toney ➝ Mitrovic
    E) Martinelli ➝ Diaz (exact money, cannot do it after price rise of Diaz tonight)
    F) Save FT

I think you need someone like Trent somewhere in this picture as well.

        3 years, 7 months ago

Yes, I think A looks like a good move. Trent has good attacking numbers. But, I am still worried about clean sheets for Newcastle. With key players returning from injury, I hope Liverpool defense will become more reliable and its time to buy Trent again.

Sterling to Diaz, Struijk to Cucu, Cancelo to TAA, Toney to Mitro.

I’d probably build towards something like that

I was also thinking on similar lines, with James instead of Cucurella, and possibly Darwin instead of Mitro (if price movements allow me to do so).

Now, I will keep Sterling for the West Ham game. Among the other moves, which one do you reckon is priority: Cancelo to TAA, Toney to Mitro or Struijk to James? I was leaning towards Trent. He can be a real rank killer when he goes wild.

Thoughts on Zaha vs Gross? Whom would you rather have? Is Zaha worth the 1.3 premium?

Zaha, he just needs to time one run correct per match and he scores.

I prefer Zaha. Plays further forward, and also on penalties. But, his fixtures are tricky. There's no long stretch of green fixtures, which is what is putting me off.

As you can see from his returns fixtures aren’t an obstacle for him. He scored against ARS & LIV

Tommy Tuchel in danger of losing the dressing room?

    1. FOO FIGHTER

"I don't know if concern is the right word. I absolutely dislike to lose, it is the second time this season and I don't think it takes a lot to beat us and this I don't like," Tuchel told BT Sport.

"It is too easy to put us off balance, to beat us, to confuse us. It is too easy. It happened against Leeds. We need to understand why and find solutions."

I think when he has realised playing 2 error prone older geezers in defence at the same time is one of his biggest downfalls at the moment then their problems will continue.

But the loss of Rodrigo to a first half shoulder injury put Marsch’s forward options under an even greater spotlight after the 1-1 draw with Everton.

“It's a dislocated shoulder, obviously you can see it's very painful,” said the head coach of his top goalscorer.

I've not been overly concerned with price changes in the past. The algorithm seems to protect popular players from rises and perhaps falls to some extent.

Loads of players outside of the template dropping all the time on less activity.

So James, Cancelo and Robbo I want to get rid of in the next few weeks. Which would you prioritise?

probably Robbo if you have TAA

Depends what you wanna do? Get City mid, Darwin, or no plan at all?

Depends on how many gameweeks James is likely to miss. I'd be reluctant to sell him if he's only gonna miss one or two games.

Cancelo isn't getting into enough attacking positions to warrant a 7m price tag.

Robbo can hold until gw8 but I'd sell after that.

So probably Cancelo to be the first to go

I'm curious what your ideal back 5 is if you're intent on getting rid of those guys.

James is only because of injury, since I’ll be wildcarding into GW9 like everybody else I don’t see why I’d hold him while injured. Especially with Pool in GW8. That’s only 2 GW to even bother keeping him for.

        N. Williams and TAA are the only musts, otherwise I think Tripps, Zinchenko (or other Arse defender) and Perisic are worth a look.

Best Rodrigo replacement under 9m? (I have ITB)

I'm thinking Kulu, Gundo, Foden, Zaha, Gross?

Bench is probably too strong right now so I might go for A with 2FT. Let me know or other ideas a lot might dependent on whether Haaland starts or not. 0.0.ITB

    Henderson

    TAA Robbo Cancelo James Saliba

    KDB Kulu Diaz Martinelli

    Jesus

    Iversen Mitro Harrison Greenwood

    A. Jesus and Kulu to Halland and 4.5 mid
    B. KDB and Greenwood to Haaland and sub 4.8 mid

I'd wait and see how tonight's games go first. If Haaland gets a lot of minutes then there's a good chance he has his minutes reduced against Villa making him less attractive as a transfer in.

After Villa, it's Sevilla Spurs and Dortmund in the space of 7 days so you'd think Haaland will feature heavily for those 3

Is it? People are going to guess at this stuff all season. I think Haaland is either a buy and hold forever (obv with caveats like injuries, form etc) or you don’t get him.

I am going to get Haaland and will keep him when I do. Too much of a monster to not have. We still don’t even know if he will actually get a full benching that often. He can come on late and brace if not I am going to have a bench to cover him and lots of rotation risks. This week Mitro coming off the bench for James is nice.

What I like about B is it leaves an easy route to Darwin if I want to go there in a few weeks , with Jesus to Darwin while losing one of the curent 3 pool assets.

With the fixture congestion, particularly for teams involved in Europe, who are the best three forwards up until the World Cup? - up to one can be over £10M. (Can hold off a week or two before making transfers)

Started the season with Jesus Haaland and Greenwood playing 442 and 532, but admit a 3 man forward lineup is looking favourable soon.

Kane seems to play every game, add mitro to that and you’ve got to keep Haaland or face huge rank red arrows!!! But then again Toneys fixtures are great….and then there’s Isak oh and Darwin , rashford OOP maybe, Scamacca from GW 8 possibly a Vardy punt and I’ve forgotten Jesus, sheeeez it’s a minefield!

Haaland is a big risk, but i don't think Jesus will play much in the group stages of Europe, Kane will probably play every game regardless, unsure what will happen with Nunez though, something like Kane, Jesus, Mitro would be a fine frontline

I'm likely to go 3 up top soon as well.

Some good options for forwards up until the World Cup. As well as the heavily owned Haaland/Jesus combo, Toney has a sea of green fixtures up until the WC, Mitrovic's fixtures from gw8-14 screams "pick me" and Kane is also looking like a great premium option as well with a few games perfect for captaincy.

Eyeing a GW8 wildcard with Haaland, Kane and Mitro up top. Darwin to possibly come in for Kane after Liverpool plays City.

Yep it makes for an interesting selection process. A lot depends on Haaland's xmin as I see him only starting half the matches possibly up until the World Cup.

    Per FPL Statistics
Zaha was to be first to drop at minus 140. But now is at minus 96.5. With 2 blue arrows.
    Seems impossible.

Za ja was at -104 at some point but never -140.
Lots of people did Rodrigo to Zaha after match. That was enough to shift rose 8 percent.

    Sanchez - Ward
    TAA - James* - Walker - Saliba - Neco
    Salah - Gundo - Rodrigo* - Martinelli - Andreas
    Haaland - Jesus - Toney

    2 FT, 0.7 ITB

James and Rodrigo the most urgent, what would you do here? Considering James -> Zanka and upgrade Rodrigo then do Toney -> Mitro in two weeks

I'd wait for pressers for more details on how long James and Rodrigo are likely to be out for. If it's just 1 or 2 games missed then it may be worth holding onto them.

Your team is set very well having 2FT and decent bench options to cover injuries and last minute absences.
