You've got to think there's a very good chance that Jota won't start all those matches, where Watkins (unless injured) will.

      Just something to consider.

I'm leaning towards C myself, but want to know if others think differently. Which would you do in GW34 with 2 free transfers?

    A) Pinnock and Kane > Trent and Jota for free (10 DGWers)
    B) Mahrez and Kane > Salah and Jota for free (9 DGWers)
    C) Pinnock, Mahrez and Kane > Trent, Salah and Jota for a -4 ( 9 DGWers)
    D) Pinnock, Mahrez, Kane and Havertz > Trent, Salah, Jota and Greenwood for a -8 (10 DGWers)

Looking ahead to GW34, this is my current team. No chips, 0 ITB

    Steele* - Kepa
    Stones* - Estupinan* - Trippier - Chilwell - Fofana
    Bruno* - Rashford* - Odegaard - Saka - Maddison
    Haaland* - Isak - Jesus

I'm not going to obsess over having 11 DGWers, but my present six are not going to be enough to avoid hiding behind the sofa, either. I'm not super worried about the Arsenal trio, but am not above sacrificing one or even two of them to triple up on City or add a Brighton or Liverpool player. Taking into account GW33, would something like this, spread over the course of these two weeks look reasonable to you?

    In: Mitoma*, KdB*, Jota*, Greenwood
    Ouut: Ode, Bruno*, Jesus, Isak

Resolves my benching issue and gives me the following team:

    Steele*
    Stones* - Estupinan* - Trippier
    KdB* - Rashford* - Mitoma* - Saka - Maddison
    Haaland* - Jota*

    Kepa, Chilwell, Fofana, Greenwood

I see many people blaming content creators for their advice.

I have a suspicion these are the same people who post their score claiming to be geniuses but without mention of the content creator they copied or were swayed by.

Let’s be honest here, if you are on this site you will be seeking advice from others and some literally asking who to transfer in or captain. Most literally have to the same team which follows the template

What irks me is when someone posts a good score they rarely if ever acknowledge those that gave them advice or told them what transfer to make etc. it’s just a gloat post about how good they are. Apologies for the moan but I see a lot of blame being thrown at times but rarely acknowledgement for those who spend time during the week giving advice (disclaimer - I’m not on here enough anymore to offer advice so it’s not me moaning about advice I give)

Sign of the times. People seem very entitled. Especially with the anonymity of the internet.

The blaming advice, rather than owning up to their own decisions - I take as a red flag. For people not worth bothering with. Would love a mute button on here. Seems like standards have dropped. Or, maybe I'm just getting old.

I try and answer at least as many questions as I ask. One hand washes the other.

As things stand do you think free hit 32 is looking good to trump what you expect to come in 34 or not?

    1. Nate(U)dog(ie)
      • 5 Years
      3 years, 3 months ago

It can only really be defined by how you would have been set up for whichever week you used it in if you didn't use it, and the inverse. I have 9 doublers for GW34 currently and will have 10 from next week so I'm fine, FH wouldn't have been much use, while this week I had 6 players available and only 3 I wanted to play. Doesn't mean no gains would have been made but it's unlikely.

    2. Drop Dead Tsimikas
      • 14 Years
      3 years, 3 months ago

I didn't really have a choice. If I didn't play the FH, I'd have 22 points plus whatever Trippier (whom I still have) and Isak would have scored tomorrow, as opposed to having 65 plus Trips, Kane and Bowen still to go. I sincerely doubt I'd have done 40 points better saving it for the DGW.

    3. Hazz
      • Fantasy Football Scout Member
      • 9 Years

I'm like 55 points ahead on my non-FH so despite only a small green so far, well worth not fudging around with all those hits to not do FH.

    4. Hairy Potter
      • 11 Years
      3 years, 3 months ago

I put me squandering my FH earlier in the season as a big reason for my rank rises since GW25. It informed when I used my WC (GW28), and my transfers leading up to GW32. I've had a lot of luck, but my decisions would have been far worse if I'd still had my FH for this GW.

So judging a FH in one GW compared to another is very hard as it influences other decisions around it.

    5. The Mentaculus
      • 5 Years
      3 years, 3 months ago

I expect to get more than 75 in GW34, but I wouldn't have been able to build such a strong DGW34 team without playing FH32 (or I would have just taken a hammering this week with half a team). Very happy with the outcome this week, and that I can get to pretty much my ideal GW34 team with FTs & a hit or two (and then have most of the same doublers again in 37)

    6. Mr. O'Connell
      • 14 Years
      3 years, 3 months ago

Team dependent. Used mine in GW28. Netted me 50 points vs what my team would have got and allowed me to keep the players I wanted medium term. Wasn't a great week vs the average score, but have to look at the weeks either side.

I have a tasty team for 34 as it is.

Currently on a healthy green arrow, so feel like FH32 worked out well for me in the end.

(Wasn’t too happy until Castagne scored, he bumped me 15k alone).

Had 10 playing so decided to save FH and just get Salah in and captain. Thought I’d get away with it but surprised to see I’m roughly 20 points down on the average (double Brentford CS wipeout didn’t help). Hopefully having the pick of the 34 doublers will claw it back but so far looking like maybe the wrong option. I probably would have gone double Pool defence over Jota though so at least that’s some consolation!

FH chip is fun. IMO it would be great if the FPL cup was separate to your normal team and you could chose a fresh 15 players each week for each round (if you don’t log on to set it, it could default to your normal team for less engaged players). Means no chips (last season I got knocked out by someone deliberately playing bench boost in the very first round), you don’t know your opponents team until the GW starts and could make the cup actually an interesting side part of FPL rather than something that no-one cares about in the current form really.

Looks like you're well set. Mart could be Rash in GW34. Kane to Jota could tempt me - depends how Spuds look tomorrow. Kane could haul v ManU though (shop window for a summer transfer)

Feel sad to be finally losing Toney on WC. Through the good times, the bad times and the s*** times. Still can't believe he held on 6 games without getting that yellow card.

Such a shame about the betting ban. He’s FPL gold really - basically a return every other game (normally with bonus). His fixtures aren’t terrible either for next 4

I've got triple Arsenal at the minute and plan to lose two of them by GW34. Think I'll still keep one of their mids. If I was using a WC now, I think I'd look to include Martinelli.

Me neither, but these next few weeks have to be attacked given most have now played WC.

It can def backfire. Just curious who your 3 City and Pool are, because I'm struggling beyond Haaland and Salah.

How did Salah look today? I was planning on buying him in a couple of weeks for free but wondering if a cheeky hit next week would be worth it or not. Bruno to Salah for a hit then?

Bruno is about to take off, though.

That would be typical. He has played well though.

How he's not returned points in the last 2 games, I'll never know.

A mixed bag, fairly peripheral until the goal but he always seems to find a way. As an owner would like to see him playing less wide but drifts into the box enough to make him a solid option. Not expecting a brace every week though.

Perhaps it’s best to wait. Bit of an unnecessary hit really.

I reckon Bruno will have a strong end to the season. No-one really will captain Salah from now until at least GW38, so I'm wondering if there's need to get him in.

Klopp said Darwin would get some starts question is who out of Jota or Gakpo drops out

Klopp needs to play players that actually put the ball in the back of the net, bit like all those for the past six weeks wondering why Grealish plays & not benched.

This. They need to win games, simple as that.
