Another day, another update on Marcus Rashford (£7.2m).

The Manchester United midfielder had been on the cusp of a comeback from a leg injury when illness ruled him out of Saturday’s clash with Bournemouth.

Rashford made a return to training on Tuesday and now, in his pre-match press conference, Erik ten Hag has given out a relatively positive update ahead of Thursday’s visit of Chelsea – albeit without quite giving his winger-cum-striker the all-clear.

“It looks like [he will be available]. Yesterday he returns in training and he looks quite fit but we have to see today what the outcome is from the training, how did he recover, and then we will make our choices.” – Erik ten Hag on Marcus Rashford

Lisandro Martinez (fractured metatarsal), Marcel Sabitzer (knee) and Donny van de Beek (knee) are definitely on the sidelines for the concluding Gameweek 37 match.

CHELSEA

Frank Lampard confirmed on Wednesday that Joao Felix has recovered from a minor injury and is available to face Manchester United.

Reece James (hamstring), Mason Mount (pelvic), Ben Chilwell (hamstring), N’Golo Kante (groin), Marc Cucurella (quad), Armando Broja (ACL), Benoit Badiashile (groin) and Mateo Kovacic (unknown) remain out.

OTHER NEWS

Media reports suggest that Nick Pope will be out of action in Gameweek 38, with the Newcastle United goalkeeper set to undergo hand surgery now that UEFA Champions League qualification is assured.

I'd rather see Grealish and Rash not playing getting my Tripp and Botman points lol

For me it's Ederson staying on the bench and Ortega playing so I can get Iversen. I want Grealish to block Tripper points in my ML

Ten Hag is getting very English in his expressions 'quite fit'. I always assumed it was only the English who use that 'quite' qualifier.

Everything is 'quite' this, 'quite' that in England, it seems to me.
I am surprised it is not used more on this site -
    'Quite a' -
    Caveat or Variance etc etc

What blew my mind recently, is that about half people view 'quite' as meaning 'not very' and the other half think it means 'very'. Possibly an Anglo/American split

I don't know why but I have a feeling Everton are going to play it safe against Bournemouth and might put themselves at risk of messing this up. Still means you're relying on Leeds or Leicester to win, but Spurs are made of brittle stuff while West Ham have a European final to look forward to so there's a chance for them

Rashford 1 minute injury time appearance on Thursday vs Chelsea would be a joy to behold to block those Trippier bench points.

Am sure he won’t be risked for 2 starts just 3 days apart ahead of the FA Cup Final the following weekend.

ETH said tomorrow night is like a final for ManUtd, so if he doesn't want him to start two games in a short period of time then you'd imagine tomorrow he'll start and get benched v Fulham

(well done to Marc Guehi for keeping his place, and Sam Johnstone being recalled even if it is for Pope going under the knife, must be relieved still being 4th choice. England U20 is Goodman GK and U19 is Whitworth GK for Palace as well)

I was thinking about Iversen over Steele but that's probably stupid.

You'd expect West Ham to score so I'd play DDG at Old Trafford, he's one of the least likely to be rotated.
