Based on past experiences I am allowing myself just one punt choice.

    Would you go for…

    Diaby + any 4.5m attacker
    JPedro + any 4.5m mid

Speaking of Trent, for me it basically comes down to squad or first 11.
    A) Trent + Bell + Mubama
    B) Chilwell (benched till GW3) + Tarkowski + Wissa

I don't see anything new on Kane today. Though they were 20m apart? Still think it'll probably go through but perhaps not before GW1. So maybe a scramble for Rich GW3? I would get him; have faith he could do well given a chance as the regular 9

Going Salah-less. Have 1.5 itb, where to upgrade?

    Ramsdale
    Chilwell, Estupinan, Shaw
    Saka, Rashford, Mitoma, Mbeumo
    Haaland, Jesus, Nkunku

    Areola, Andersen, Henry, Nakamba

He missed that crucial one for England and stayed on them for Arsenal, a miss in a friendly isn’t going to change Arteta’s mind.

But then what if 2 of Chilwell, Nkunku, Jackson, Sterling etc. run hot? Gusto will lock you out from a triple up in that case.

'Premier League and EFL officials will add World Cup-style amounts of injury time to matches as part of a crackdown on time-wasting, at the heart of new refereeing guidelines that will be in force for next season ,

We spent 65M on a player who isn't even part of our best team.

We spent 35M on a defensive rotation option.

There's nothing wrong with having high-quality options to put pressure on the incumbents.

You spent £65M for a first team player and you spent £35M on a RB as you are currently playing a CB there, who can cover CB and LB that is currently occupied by a bunch of average sick notes. Using these as a comparison to spending £40M on a GK is completely bizarre.

Ramsdale will start the season but would he be a regular starter if he drops form? I highly doubt it

    A) 4.5 DEF + Jesus

    B) Gabriel + Nkunku

The FPL guy on The Athletic said TAA was “essential”.

That was after he listed off all his highest finishes like he was chatting up an FPL-obsessed person.

I promised myself last year that I wouldn't fall for the Pep Roulette again yet here I am again starting the season with Foden.

Someone please convince me to change him

I started last season with Salah, Son and no Haaland and got royally punished. I just bet this season it will be the right thing to do and no-one will do it...

    Which combination?

    1. Foden + Cash
    2. Diaby + Stones

Thoughts on my current draft? Really tempted by 451 but worried the structure will cause problems if some strikers will emerge...

    Steele
    Estupinan Gabriel Stones Henry
    Salah Saka Martinelli Rashford Mbeumo
    Haaland

    Areola Kabore Osula Plange

Steele can become the keeper that looks likely to start for Brighton

That’s as good as I’ve seen for a salah haaland draft. You thought of Henry to colwill at some point? Or botman after newcastles crap fixtures in first 6?

Henry to Botman later looks good. However I feel like I'm gonna WC by then anyway.

    Onana

    Stones, Dias, Estu

    Saka, Martinelli, Bruno, Mitoma, March

    Haaland, Jesus

    4.0, Cash, 4,0, 4.5

I like it. Similar to mine (a few posts up), I like how you only have City Utd arsenal brighton in starting xi

Nice also. Keeping funds in bank to move brighton mids out to chelsea or whoever emerges.
Other option is Watkins instead of March.

Playing time of Pau Torres/Diego Carlos/Alex Moreno? I find it annoying that Emeri keeps bringing Spanish defenders despite already having way too many options

He'll rotate those options; also loves to rotate fullbacks from his time at Villareal, PSG, and Arsenal. Wouldn't feel safe owning any of them.

I like the eze pick but not for start of season Sheffield will be up for it at home then in the next 6 they have Brentford, Utd and Villa away including arsenal at home.

It is Diaby and/or Mitoma for me. CPL attack is toothless and I don't rate Brentford.

100% agree on this and the reasons I've taken both Mbeumo and Eze out recently. Heading more towards Mitoma, need to see a bit more of Diaby.

Diaby or Mitoma at the minute. Hopefully it'll be Barnes at some point early in the season.

If Foden's new main role is as an attacking mid he's probably going to assist more than score...not ideal , less upside to compensate for mins risk

      Not necessary...

He'll be more central so perhaps more.goals with more assists from either wing?

Also, he won't be playing against Atlético Madrid in gw1.

Well, if he's taking the Gundogan role, it suggests that he will have less involvement, unless he is told specifically to play further forward in the absence of De Bruyne ?

Is that right, Bowen has 3 goals and 3 assists and one of the best pre-seasons?

Perhaps more of us should get involved...
