Gameweek 2 of Fantasy Premier League (FPL) is drawing ever nearer and while most of us are content to roll a transfer, that won’t be the case for everyone.

So whether you’ve got a Gabriel Magalhaes (£5.0m)/John Stones (£5.4m) dilemma, are considering a Liverpool move or doing anything in between, five-time top 1k finisher and Scout’s Deputy Editor, Tom Freeman, will be here to answer some of your conundrums over the next 60 minutes.

He’ll be on hand to first reply to requests from Premium Members in the Hot Topic below the line of this piece and will get through as many as he can until the next article goes up. If there’s time, Tom will also turn his attention to other requests in the comments section.

If you’d like to receive an email notification letting you know when future RMT Surgery’s are live, you can now do so. When editing your profile, under ‘Alerts & Notifications‘, you’ll find a section on ‘Email Notifications‘. In there is an option for ‘Rate My Team Surgery‘, check that box and you will receive an email letting you know when the surgery is about to go live.

You can, as ever, chip in with your own opinions on the RMT requests filtering through – and naturally, you’re free to ignore the article subject matter and talk about any other wider FPL topics that you’d normally be musing on.

Don’t forget that, if it’s an algorithmic answer you’re after rather than an opinion-based one, we also have a ‘Rate My Team’ tool available in the Premium Members Area.

Rumours seem to be flavour of the month...

Remember content creators live from "clicks" - the more people click, read, share and, dare I say it, perpetuate said rumour, the more they benefit - the monetisation of the rumour is working.

It's a shame - in all areas of FPL, money is ruining what was once a cool, free hobby.

I still think Trent goes into the double pivot role alongside Endo/doucoure at the base of a box midfield from RB when pool have the ball.

End of last season that was his role. May get more AA from there rather than A, per his name

I guess it doesn't matter if Trent is in position at RB or not as he can't defend properly even when he is there. Shame as he has a lot of other good skills and attributes but positional awareness is definitely not one of them!

Don’t know much about him but from what I’ve read it looks like a good signing. And almost 100m cheaper than Caicedo!

I do expect pool to get one more defensive minded midfielder by the end of Jan. his injury record is stunning - 2 matches missed in 4 seasons. Hopefully that lasts!

How much value do you put on players' performances in the previous season(s) against current GW's opponents when making captaincy decisions? Maybe I am being ignorant but for me it has always been almost completely irrelevant if a player hauled vs another team a year ago or not.

    1. Tonyawesome69

Irrelevant - too many different variables such as new manager, new setup etc

    Is it GtG?

    Turner
    Chilwell - Saliba - Henry
    Salah - Saka - Maddison - Diaz - Mbeumo
    Haaland - Jackson

    (Sanchez, Baldock, Udogie, Osula)

Diaz will become a 7.5 ish for next GW unless he goes full bracemode!

Arsenal had a behind closed doors friendly against Luton yesterday which they won 3-0

The game helped both teams - Luton had their weekend fixture postponed due to work on their ground and Arsenal don’t play until Monday, so it suited both to keep their players ‘match fit’.

Unlike a typical friendly, the game was actually made up of 3x 30 minute ‘halves’

Whilst not a lot is known on how the teams set up, what we do know is Saka scored and Trossard got 2.
Raya made his debut and played 60 minutes

Zinchenko and Reiss Nelson both featured
