Who would you prioritise transferring in?

Pep roulette has moved backwards, because he’s still discovering which one of them is secretly a midfielder. No one is safe in that backline.

Received the official United Richard Arnold statement re Greenwood at around 3pm through my membership. I think they have dealt with it correctly as much as reasonably practicable in regard to protecting the victim and Greenwood’s career. Not sure who is going to go for him though!

He needs to go abroad to rebuild his career. Outside the UK.

The end decision was the correct one - I think the problem was the means to that end. Rumors of management wanting him back but threats of resignations stopping it... no doubt the PR and Crisis Comms team at Man Utd had their hands full and it wasn't easy, but it just seemed a mess getting to the end point.

It’s bad PR for anyone, as it should be. But many employ similar cases without such publicity and seem to be fine with it.

The outcome is correct but the statement amounts to an acknowledgement that fans don’t want him back rather than any desire to do the right thing.

I’d like to know what expertise they have that has qualified them to essentially declare him not guilty of the offence. I don’t believe it is their remit to make such a statement.

For me, the clubs response still shows a startling lack of support for women and victims of domestic abuse.

Yep, unfortunately I didn’t foresee just how good Mbuemo and Brentford would be. I actually thought they’d regress quite a bit but so far it hasn’t seemed to be the case and they still have the fixtures to boot. Don’t like losing value early in either albeit not seeming as important this season due to prices

Question of the century. Mbuemo main goalscorer for Brentford and on pens. Alvarez is a great player who has great fixtures playing for a free scoring team.

On the other hand Wissa is nice too, but he’s been subbed in the 75th min twice now. With extra time, that’s like 20 mins less than Alvarez.

Foden is great as well. Probably on par with Mbuemo for me.

      In conclusion:

I don’t know lol. Either 1 or 4. I think Alvarez will be essential until KDB returns. Toss up between Foden and mbuemo

Based on Boomo/Wissa returns from last season, and the two pens for Boomo..

Alvarez and Foden can easily return every game..

Could Henderson be on his way out and what does this mean for Onana?

Manchester United are understood to be looking at Benfica goalkeeper Odisseas Vlachodimos

    1. x.jim.x

It doesn't affect Onana in any way whatsoever.

Unless Onana has an agreement with UTD that he cannot lose his spot of course which I highly doubt is the case.

Onana cost about £50m and is obviously first choice, Vlachodimos will be brought in to play backup because he isn't especially good.

This is like asking how will Haaland be affected if City were in for Che Adams.

I've got him too and probably going to keep short term as I have bigger fish to fry. He had lots of attacking involvement vs Fulham and was undairly denied an assist. And no-one's keeping clean sheets anyway.

I would want to use my transfers on mids and strikers instead.
Utd and Everton are hard to judge because they are the two teams who will be getting such a dressing down behind the scenes and possibly even a change in style/eleven that the first two games can effectively be ignored.
No improvement in third game then get rid.

Sorted, yeah I think Henry is a really good pick. Same, if I can just get to GW 8 or 9 with a somewhat decent defence and subs I’ll be happy. Botman is a good choice but I thought the same wouldn’t wanna play him against LIV and BRI.

The same and if that's the case he's leaving my team and never being bought again.

That's what I thought, but given the way my gameweek's going I reckon he's assured of a goal and clean sheet minimum after I took him out for Chilwell last week.

That would be disappointing. If he’s out, will be weighing up a City 5.0 vs Saliba vs go ahead and get Botman.

I think Nketiah single handedly forced a change of system last week. Timber’s out and tonight they play away, so he might want extra protection.

Joao Pedro (WHU), Solanke (TOT), Fernandes (NFO), Pickford (WOL), Salah (new) are the picks I’m least excited about for GW3, which 2FT combo saves the gameweek?

Maybe Bruno & Pedro? If there's ever a less urgent fixture for a GK change, its this one (except perhaps Everton at home). Wouldn't mind starting Solanke. I'm kind of thinking of moving Pedro to 8th attacker for now to see what happens myself.

      1. Pariße

I actually love Solanke, a true differential pick that’s secretly performing really well for me.

Thank you, was thinking of Bruno and Pedro as well.

Pedro to Wissa is a move I really like. I wouldn't get rid of Pickford yet, if he has no CS after the next two then maybe. Wouldn't drop Fernandes before Forest at home. Salah and Solanke seem decent transfers out if you have a good replacement in mind.

I'm in a similar situation and looking at doing Fernandes + Joao Pedro > Mbeumo + Wissa

Was thinking these two to Foden and Alvarez, who seem quite sure to start now. But you never know, Pedro might start again and losing Bruno against Forest could backfire.

Wildcarded myself into a benching headache and forgot I can't BB in the same week. Oy. Thoughts on this lot, friends?

    Areola | Turner
Saliba | Chilwell | Estu | Van de Ven | Gusto
    Salah | Saka | Foden | March | JWP
    Haaland | Alvarez | Wissa

      Loving that side!

I’d say bench Gusto VDV & JWP

      1. Drop Dead Tsimikas

I might hold off on JWP, even though he's basically fixture-proof. Thinking March + JWP + Wissa >> Diaz + Mbeumo + Semenyo

Ahh yes silly me I temporarily forgot you can still chop and change there haha!
Diaz is someone I do have my eye on but prioritising Foden before him right now.
Mbeumo is a wise move, I think he’s a fantastic asset to own especially over these next fixtures. Semenyo looks promising, and for the price of him to make the others work then can’t see anything wrong with that.

Still locks me into a benching issue, though a bit less of one. I shuffled to:

            Flekken | Turner
            Saliba | Chilwell | Estu | Beyer | Gusto
            Salah | Saka | Foden | Diaz | Mbeumo
            Haaland | Alvarez | Semenyo

Seems a waste to bench Gusto home to Luton, but what else is there to do...

Hehe yeah does still present a little benching dilemma doesn’t it, but yeah I think you’d just have to still be pushed into benching Gusto there unless you were feeling super confident about going double CHE defence

  19. Kodap

I’m in such a dilemma, what is my biggest priority here? 1FT & £0m in the bank.

    Pickford
    Estup - Chilwell - Gabriel
    Salah - Diaby - Bruno - Saka - Maddison
    Haaland - Joao Pedro

    Turner - Colwill - Beyer - Mubama

    2. Alan The Llama

As a Salah owner, I'm in two minds whether to sell him. They're going to score a lot of goals, and should get, with the players they get in the box, a fair few penalties.

But his penalty wasn't at all convincing and I fear players who cost around half the price will match or even outscore him.

Assuming Gabriel starts today, thoughts on Bruno + Joao Pedro > Mbeumo + Wissa?

    Pickford
    Gabriel, Estupiñan, Chilwell
    Salah, Saka, Marti, Bruno, Mitoma
    Haaland, João Pedro

    (Turner, Mubama, Baldock, Bell)
