Baring Haaland and maybe Ederson, no-one is nailed at Man City. Maybe Foden and Grealish whilst KDB and Silva are out.

      2. Click the 'Options' button in-line with the league you own
      3. Click 'Administer'
      4. Under the 'Add League suspensions' heading, start typing either the Player Name or Team Name
      5. If added correctly, a name "[Player Name] ([Team Name])" will appear below the free-text box
      6. Select the team that appears, which should enable he 'Suspend player' button

Pretty poor start to the season for me, real tempted to hit WC but know I should wait until Sept...

    Onana
    ERoyal Gab Chilwell
    Son Bruno Ode Saka Eze
    Haaland[c] Jackson[vc]

    Turner Mubama Botman Baldock

Will a couple of hits sort this out and limp through to Sept, or should I play WC this early?!

    Was thinking this for -4:
    Gabriel > Estupinan
    ERoyal > Henry

    Help appreciated...

I think Son and Bruno are your biggest issues, I actually think your defence is OK. Gab isn't an issue for this gameweek.

        • 9 Years

I thought my def was ok too, but only 2 played this week! 😀

Son has great fixtures, so I plan to hold my punt for 3 GWs, Bruno may depart for Diaz/Mbuemo/Mitome/March

Could do all 3 for -8, obviously!

I prefer Maddison to Son for Spurs assets.

Possibly, but I went with Son from the off, so am sticking with him for now.

I thought he would suit Ange's tactics better, plus Maddison left in a protective boot.

Tempted to shift Gabriel to Akanji / Walker

I actually really like this team, I think your changes would be good as well but not sure on Henry. Son looked so much better against utd and Bruno's underlying stats are great. I would almost be tempted to just swap one of Royal and Gab so you don't have to take the hit.

      1. Bubbles1985
        • 9 Years

        Thanks.

Might be a knee jerk reaction then, but I had a good season last year and am happy to fix any errors quickly this season, so not to play catch up!

Maybe just shift Gabriel to Estupinan and hope his form continues...

Fair enough, I'm giving him one last chance based on what he's capable of. Surely it would make sense for Ten Hag to play someone else down the centre so Rash can play out wide, should always play your best players in their most comfortable positions

I've got a very common conundrum, whether or not to sell Rashford. Even if he does well my target(s) should outscore him.
    This is me:
    Onana
    Chilwell Saliba Estupinan Tark
    Salah Ode Marti Rashford
    Haaland Wissa

    Turner Bayer Lukic Archer

As I have 2 FT's, which one would you do?
    A. Keep Rashfor and sell Tarkowski for Colwill or Gusto.
    B. Rashfor and Lukic to Mtioma/March and Mbeumo.

I've already sold him for Foden.

I reasoned that while Forest is a decent fixture (not 'easy'), City v Blades is better, and in GW4 City play Fulham while United have Arsenal. So over 2 GWs I tip Foden to outscore him, plus more points going forward, gambling on Foden to rack up minutes.

I also see tactical issues with United that are not going to be solved overnight.
The extra money enables me to upgrade Joao Pedro.

I’d keep for one more. If he moves to the left he’ll be much better option. Plus forest have a defence including joe worrall and Scott McKenna

On WC I’ve got haaland and Jackson.. who’s best 3rd striker in a 3-4-3

    A) Alvarez

    B) Watkins

    C) Isak

Avoiding Wissa as I’ve got Mbeumo and don’t fancy the Brentford attack double up

I'd go Isak if I was only a WC already. Can easily see Newcastle getting goals vs Liv and Brighton, and then the fixtures turn real nice.

Manchester City released this statement: "Guardiola has been suffering with severe back pain for some time lately, and flew out to Barcelona for emergency surgery performed by Dr Mireia Illueca. The surgery was a success, and Pep will now recover and rehabilitate in Barcelona.

"In his absence, assistant manager Juanma Lillo will oversee coaching of the first team on the training field and will assume duties on the touchline until Pep’s return. He is expected to return after the forthcoming international break.

"Everyone at Manchester City wishes Pep a speedy recovery, and look forward to seeing him back in Manchester soon."

Think I'll pass on foden/alvarez for now

I suspect Pep timed it so he misses two unloseable matches.

But why avoid Foden now? Will probably play with more freedom without Pep hating on him all game

Haha sorry, I meant what's the link between Pep being out and not picking those players.

    2FT, 0.2 ITB:

    Flekken - Turner
    Chilwell - Estupinan - Gabriel - Udogie - Kabore
    Rashford - Saka - Fernandes - Martinelli - Mbuemo
    Haaland - Watkins - Archer

Best Gabriel replacement up to 5.5??
