Probably Foden. But both will be rotated. Alvaarez took a lot of set pieces in the last game too so it is close enough.

Álvarez hasn't even been subbed off yet.
I don't think Nunes or Doku are a direct threat to his position, either.

I think his position is fairly safe while they stay in this formation.

Alvarez for goals and Foden more likely for assists until he's back in the swing of things.

Getting maddison isnt conditional to not having saka.

Saka is fine to keep. So what if you're not capt.
Someone needs to score for Ars in those fixtures, [least they end up mid table this season] and Saka is as good as any to deliver that

      1. Nice to Finally Michu
        • 13 Years
        3 years, 18 days ago

This is true of course. It's all team dependent. In my side, if I wanted to make way for Maddison I'd have to drop Bruno, Salah, or Saka. None lighting it up but I think of those three its not obvious who to drop if any.

    4. Nate(U)dog(ie)
      • 5 Years

Not sure you'll make "serious ground" with someone that's likely to be at over 20% ownership by this weekend and more if he returns again. Arsenal haven't been firing fully but Saka is still looking good, and Jesus being back should improve all the attacking options at Arsenal too

      1. Nice to Finally Michu
        • 13 Years
        3 years, 18 days ago

Saka with a top 10K EO of 85% last week. Maddison's was less than 9%. Let's say Maddison gets up as high as 30-40%, that's still a sizeable gap. Nice point about Jesus likely improving the other attacking options

They’ve got some first team players on the bench for emergencies, most clubs do/will, let’s be real, it’s the first round of the reserve team cup, people (not you) banging on about saving your transfers can’t have been paying attention to how this competition plays out every year, very few key players will turn out in it until much later in it.

It's the league cup second round against Wimbledon at home.

Wimbledon are 19/1 to win. Chelsea should manage this without Sterling.

It can happen though, Bradford City went from 2 nil down to win against the European Champions under Mourinho, 2-4 in the FA Cup at Stamford Bridge.

Kane being gone and KDB being injured has already left us with pretty simple decisions regarding funds, Salah inclusive squad or not. Him being gone will make things that extra bit boring

Sterling been seen down the King's Road eating some oily fish and salad before taking in the game tonight.

    Says all is tip top!

Dinky, chinky runs inside of the Forest defence?

Then slams the ball into the net.

How would you fit Foden in or best to stick with Alvarez on WC?

    Chilwell Gusto Udogie
    Sterling Maddison Mbeumo Saka Bowen
    Alvarez Haaland

    In other words; best combination?

A.) Alvarez, Bowen, Gusto (double chelsea def)
B.) Jackson, Foden, Henry (miss out on punt on Bowen for Luton)

Estupinan. People planning to keep for the long haul ditch?. With the likes of Cash and Udogie offering good attacking threat for 0.5 less this season (and with the better run of fixtures) I am tempted to cash in (prob for Udogie).

Keep. Benching for 2 or 3 games not the end of the world

Sound advice provided to fit a good bench to cover him. With Baldock and Kabore I’m not blessed with decent cover.

Fair enough. I'll likely have Udogie/Gusto and Kabore as cover. And honestly don't mind playing Estupiñán, he is just a league lower fixture-proof version of Chilwell

Undecided. Going to give it a think over the international break. A 4.5m Newcastle defender might be the way to go in a double up with Trippier.

I know this won't be popular, but Reece James might be back after the break, and maybe on pens given Enzo missed the one against West Ham. Might be too risky with his injury record though...

ditch, not sure why people have a season long affiliation with Estupinan. Its bizarre to say the least.

These are the players with the most penalty area touches so far

      Kaoru Mitoma 33
      Bukayo Saka 31
      Raheem Sterling 28
      Joao Pedro 24
      Erling Haaland 22
      Martinelli 22
      Son Heung-min 21
      Jordan Ayew 20
      Pervis Estupinan 20
      Diogo Jota 20

Being in that kind of company of players when he's a defender is pretty striking

I don't own him and find it bizarre people are planning on selling him. Firstly he's ridiculously attacking as it is. Secondly RDZ has spoken about his intelligence and how he finds himself as a centre forward sometimes. Thirdly Brighton have the best npxG so far this season (I could have sworn I read that they're actually top of the npxG charts since RDZ took over?).

One blank (directly after getting 7pts followed by 11pts, both in games where he didn't get a clean sheet) and it's sell sell sell. Madness.

Well for me, there is zero point keeping Estu IMO. My defence is:

Chilwell - Trippier- Estupinan - Udogie - Saliba.

I really don't need all these players. Will be selling Saliba and Estu in next week or two, unless something big changes. I will replace them probably with 4.5's.

Brighton probably over-performing also. Estu will and Brighton as a whole, will not keep it up. Even if im wrong, I can buy back and probably make money on it.

ps. also in my mind, is that I want cash in the bank. I am aware everyone super cheap now and cash is not an issue, but I doubt it stays like this for long. Soon we gonna want to upgrade forwards etc and gonna need money for that.

I for example probably want to do Wissa>Jesus soon.

They've been keeping it up for a long while. In their last 15 games last season they averaged 2.26xG per game, and that included games against the whole top 10 excepting Liverpool and Fulham

    Areola

    Akanji Chilwell Udogie

    Sterling Saka Mbeumo Bruno

    Haaland (c) Jackson Alvarez

    Onana, Estu, Martinelli, Kabore

    1FT , 0.9itb
G2G for this week and roll the transfer? Or would you suggest a move?

Annoyingly brought in Akanji last weekend for a -4 but was balanced out by sterling

Football is way too unpredictable to be removing two fit quality players out for a hit. Forest and Bournemouth are capable of upsets. Martinelli and Mitoma can haul against anyone.
