Would love to, but the sensible part of my brain is saying as awesome as that cameo was (and even if his finishing has sharpened up), it was his defensive work that was keeping him out the team for Klopp and I don't know if anything has really changed there. Plus he'll probably want Gakpo/Jota to press Villa defence as they like to play out from the back but aren't entirely successful at it yet

If Salah/Liverpool decide to take the Saudi cash at the 11th hour, then Nunez becomes a must have!!!!

There was apparently an offer from Athens that was quickly turned down.

He was out of GW2 with a minor knock but started GW3. He seems fine now. He's in the XI in the predicted line-ups tab ^, and no mention of an injury in the accompanying text or press conference.

Thanks guys- yes I was worried as he was left out of the midweek carabao cup squad altogether but that may have just been precautionary. He came off a few mins early vs City. Think I will start him anyway and keep fingers crossed

Anyone tempted by a Hojlund punt? Wissa would need to make way for him... considering it. Just for the heartbreak.

He's been in my GW5 pencil plan for a while. I'm not far off inking that in now.

Definitely not going there this week though. Arsenal away is a tough game, plus a long international break... let's see if he gets through that unscathed and looking sharp.

Possible yes but feels knee jerk. Still not sure about which Chelsea will turn up. Surely Maddison is a better option than Sterling? Sterling has trolled me in the past and I’m scarred

Nah surely Palmer is just a squad player for now. Can't see him being thrown straight in and displacing Sterling

      1. F4L
        • 11 Years
        3 years, 23 days ago

don't think he'll displace sterling, but might not be ideal pushing Sterling away from favourite position; should end the chilwell at LM experiment though, back to a flat back 4 and 3 in midfield

do think Palmer will be put straight in after International Break though, something like

        Gusto/Dsasi Silva Colwill Chilly/Colwill

        Caicedo Fernandez Lavia/Gallagher

        Palmer Jackson Sterling

Mudryk is crap, but once Carney Chuk comes back Sterling might lose minutes, and then when Nkunku is back who knows but thats a while away

    2. Piggs Boson

Maddison first choice of those for me. Pedro may start this week with Welbeck & Enciso out, Fati not yet ready (presumably). He is problem longer-term but if you want to roll 1 or delay the Salah decision you can probably get away with starting Pedro this week

Martinelli to Maddison/Foden is doing my nut in!

I planned to double up on City defence so I could do the Maddi move. But no Paulinha makes me think it could be a rout. But the double City defence (Ruben and Ederson) will almost always play, especially at UCL rotation coming up.

    What do you think?

I'm currently on Martinelli to Mbuemo and Foden...I am tempted by Foden but CL and CC are both coming up shortly and knowing city, Foden will likely see a lot of rotation. Personally I think Maddison is a safer pick with more secure minutes + on pretty much all set pieces

I wouldn't double up on Man City defence, personally. Enough options out there.

    Onana
    Chilwell - Estu - Henry
    Saka - Bruno - Martinelli - Mitoma - Rashford
    Haaland - Watkins

    £0.9m ITB with 2FT

    What do I do?

    1) Martinelli + Mitoma > Sterling + Maddison
    2) Martinelli + Mitoma > Maddison + Mbeumo

Maybe something else or just one of them transfers?
