I think the Bowen one as you’ve already got Son.

1-0, survive another day. But I'm expecting to have to suck up a Botman price fall and having to pay more for my next two intended transfers. The temptation to go early is strong, but every week I'm caught out by last-minute injury news, so I'm not going there again.

Can't really fit in Salah into the team without sacrificing a few WC 'locks', so I tried to make a Haaland-less draft. Thoughts on it?

    Areola
    TAA Trippier Udogie Cash
    Salah Son Maddison Bowen
    Watkins Alvarez

    Turner Diaby Archer Kabore

Looks good to me. I switched yesterday to
      Pope Turner
      Trippier Walker Cash (Udogie Gabriel)
      Salah Son Diaby Maddison (Casemiro)
      Watkins Alvarez Isak

If that's any help, which is similar.
If Haaland starts scoring again so be it! Encouraging that Alvarez didn't start the Champions League game

Thanks that's a great shout. I hadn't thought of Palmer, and he'd give me a nice 0.5 for the bank which is currently zero. Only drawback is that if he's like any of the other Chelsea players he'll be injured very soon! Thanks again I'll do that.

Go Robertson instead of Trent then you can upgrade Kabore to a 4.5 and Archer to someone like Foster.

Imagine the feeling if Haaland bangs in a hattrick, your first impulse will be to tear up your team in order to accommodate him back in again. I feel its just too much of a risk despite the benefits elsewhere.

Thoughts on this Haaland draft, and a few others pigeon-holed in, 0.3 itb:

    Areola
    Trippier Cash Porro
    Salah Son Maddison DLuiz
    Solanke Watkins Haaland

    Turner Burn Anderson Taylor

People might be sleeping on Luiz with the penalties, though I personally own and prefer Neto. Do we know that Luiz is outright nailed on pens? I'm too drunk to look up his non-penalty stats, but I do know that Neto is involved in everything Spurs do, and counting on a penalty is pretty nerve-wracking.

Thoughts on this WC? No Salah is the obvious omission, but not sure he’s worth all the downgrades required, or if I’d ever captain him over Haaland…

    Areola
    Trippier, Cash, Porro
    Son, Saka*, Maddison, Bowen
    Haaland, Watkins, Alvarez

Anderson has been getting some consistent minutes now and injuries have him pretty nailed but Dougie Luiz could return any game with the set piece threat. If you're pretty sure he will be on the bench I'd go Anderson

Good enough to be a starter, for sure, after the break. Think he was asking for 1st bencher though, which with funding getting tight, leads to Anderson.

Bro, West ham are scoring goals unless you have not been paying attention and if you think Bowen is being benched then you need to tell me who replaces him 😆

Well you are worried about fatigue. He is one of the fittest players.

It’s very common for the ‘smaller’ teams to struggle with euro comps, it’s certainly a consideration. Even if Bowen can handle it what about the team around him?
Ill prob stay away from west ham for a bit.

West Ham are unbeaten in Europe for like 18 games in a row now.

I think way too many are underestimating them, especially their attack.

Bowen has been injury free. Pick him and leave him for the entire season. You won't go wrong.

I could only afford JWP. I like JWP, but with a team I'm fairly proud of, I regret missing Bowen. Bowen should be a great selection.

I'm a Toffee; avoid 3 like the plague. I don't hate Gabriel, and own Neto, but if you can afford it, Alvarez pretty easily.

    areola raya
    botman estu udogie walker drager

Your defence is toast and don't think you need Raya. Areola is the best GK in the game and you can play him pretty much all of the time.

Get rid of Walker as well. City defence is going to be very unreliable and cheaper defenders will outscore all of them.

    Salah / Mädds / Son / XXX
    Haaland / Alvarez / XXX

    A) Neto/Gordon & Watkins
    or?
    B) Diaby & Nunez

Ps. could do also Mädds —> Richa
Then A with Bowen is possible.

I like A better, with Mads over Richie. Neto/Gordon is a probable coin flip, but I have Neto.

I have bad vibes about Mbeumo; I owned him from week 1 until this past week. I'll say that I think Leno is a super underrated pick, and personally own him.

Would you wc this team? Need to dump onana, mbeumo, mitoma, estu, mubama, turner.

    Onana
    Trippier cash udogie
    Salah Maddison Bowen mitoma mbeumo
    Haaland Alvarez

    Turner estu kabore mubama

No, this is basically fine. Do you have any free transfers? If you can accept a not great gameweek, I think you'll be happier with a later WC.

Depends on your possible fututre wildcard plans. I personally don't mind a hit if your gut is telling you to (and/or if you'll have more fun--it's just one gameweek), and definitely don't think you need to WC this week.

Saka only playing a few minutes would be a bummer, but much less of a bummer than 90 mins of Archer 😛

    Turner
    Cash Porro Trent
    Son Salah Maddison Diaz Bowen
    Alvarez Watkins

    Areola Archer Burn Lamptey

1.3m itb to you switch back to Saka once fit/fixtures improve or to more readily enable Salah to Haaland should I need it.
