Thinking of ways to spend my Haaland money. Don't worry, I will be rich when Son and Salah go anyway.

So, I'm thinking TAA and Kulu in. TAA for Tsimi I guess, and Kulu for Hwang (Cue a Hwang goal). That would be over 2 weeks assuming no other probems.

        nah, wont need a wildcard.

I am not overly bothered by Haaland, I can do without him until Son and Salah go away, then get him back then. He has been pretty garbage this season as a captain pick. I don't have a particular plan. But I don't see a problem getting back to him.

Same problem. I have 10.7 mitb because of doing my worst transfer ever last week. TAA has had his plum fixtures, there is no reason to spend that money if it's not needed.

      1. have you seen cyan
        • 6 Years

it does feel like I have missed the boat with TAA and I am just looking to spend that money. Ditching Tsimi is not great from a value point of view either. But I own Kelleher so I would have no choice.

Kulu I will get for sure. TAA I need to decide. If Trippier is out, I will do Tripp>TAA I think.

If the goal stands it shouldn't be wiped but we don't know what is going to happen. The game may be rescheduled and restarted at 0-0 in which case the goal wouldn't stand.

It seems a little strange there isn't a standard protocol to refer to for this sort of situation. I know it doesn't happen often but it's hardly beyond the realms of imagination. And if a decision is made on a case-by-case basis that doesn't feel very transparent or fair imo.

No doubt I'm misunderstanding something though.

Yep, been saying exactly this. Very surprised FPL don't seem to have a go-to protocol regarding this. It still being up in the air going into tomorrow is odd. But I suspect the points will be removed with an announcement of the fixture being rescheduled for a later date tomorrow.

That's the issue. Jiménez injury was in similar category, but that match wasn't abandoned. And PL shows it being suspended. I think they'll have to create protocol.

I’m surprised there hasn’t been a PL game in recent memory abandoned due to weather - thought there would have been one where rain makes pitch unplayable, lightning storms etc.

      1. have you seen cyan
        • 6 Years
        2 years, 2 months ago

stadiums are pretty sheltered, to some degree anyway (from wind). Rain is unlikely to call a game off unless torrential, and that's just not common in the UK, maybe for 5 mins max.

They just go out with their squeegee things if it does get water logged. Plus, most new pitches designed with good drainage incorporated.

    5. Casual Player
      • 5 Years

Points are only awarded to teams who have players selected in their team in the Gameweek the fixture is actually played, irrespective of if you had them selected for the original fixture.

      - this is from the FAQ.

So if the game is reschedule, then the fixture hasn’t actually been played, and it’s no points

I agree they could be more explicit, it’s surprising a game hasn’t been abandoned in progress in recent memory in the top flight

      1. RICICLE
        • 3 Years

Unless the game just carries on from the minute the game finished? Which would be silly I suppose.

        1. Casual Player
          • 5 Years
          2 years, 2 months ago

That would be the other option but AFAIK has never happened in English football.

Games are usually abandoned, a couple of exceptions in lower leagues where results have been allowed to stand. But one was 7-0 and the other was in the 89th minute

    6. Guy Demel
      • 12 Years
      2 years, 2 months ago

It's only up in the air because they haven't confirmed the game won't continue tomorrow (or midweek) from whenever it stopped therefore they could complete the game this gameweek. FPL are at the mercy of the PL decision and unlikely as it is, a continuation is still possible.

Therefore points as they are with BPS yet to be finalised is the right position as it stands.

In my opinion, this is just delaying the inevitable and the game will vanish tomorrow when a reschedule for next year is confirmed.

      1. Bennerman
        • 7 Years

          • 12 Years

It almost definitely won't but FPL can't make that call until PL confirm it.

Rules state a game can continue this way, so until it does (or doesn't) or the PL confirms it won't, FPL have effectively put the game on hold.

Why in FPL do you take the hit if a player in your squad decreases in value, but you don't get the flip side when your player increases?
Saliba is holding 5.0 but now 5.5.
If he's 5.5 that value should be carried in my squad for smart early pick up.
    Anderson 4.7 now 5.0
    Gordon and Salah plus 0.4
    Watkins, Alverez, Tsimikas up 0.3

Feel like I'm losing money on all of these if I were to sell one, when really My team should gain the value, no?

Reason for the grumble, need 0.1 to make my double.
      Alverez 6.9, Solanke 6.8 perfect!
But in my team Alverez is worth less than DS

You won't lose money if you sell them, you'll get half of the gain in value, rounded down if needed. It's a good system. It creates a dilemma if you have value tied up in a player, and dilemmas are good for the game.

It’s amusing to see Man City in free fall after so much success. It goes without saying that Haaland is one of the best transfers of all time and he has really been carrying the team. It’s obvious without him. They’ve made a bunch of odd decisions in the transfer market, not replacing key players leaving and not playing new signings etc. Something is definitely off.

Happens all of the time in baseball. Game has to go five innings for losing team for it to be considered’official.’ Otherwise, it’s called off stats don’t count. Happens in NFL lightning storms occur. Same logic. The rub here is be logic and fantasy. It’s cosmic.

I think the hypothetical answer is saying effectively it’s 39 games for Luton and Bournemouth?

I think it’s likely some very low level person, probably working in a contracted contact centre, that didn’t check anything before answering to the best of their ability at the time

In the grand scheme of thing, seems top 10K avg is about 27 so far. Many taking hits and Solanke owners could lose/gain some pts, at what score are people atm? 52(-4) here with Solanke.

Low risk of being benched, higher assist potential, plays for the better team.
