Very nice team. What's your OR?

Taylor to Gusto suggestion is a good one.
Gordon to Garnacho also good. (or any midfielder of choice).

I was in a similar boat to you and went with Tripper to Estu. I need the differential if I am to climb any higher (23k OR)

    Any suggestions is welcomed

    2FT, 1.4ITB

Although with having Salah and Son, I'd be looking to save 2FT for next week. In your situation however, I think the hit is worth it if you bring in the right defender.

    GTG or change captain?

    Turner
    Porro, Saliba, Gabriel
Son (C), Saka, Bowen, Palmer, Richarlison
    Watkins (VC), Solanke

    Subs: Leno, Haaland, Cash, Trippier

    1. 112kane112

I'd suggest to start Haaland on the very slim chance he gets some minutes. Even if he comes on for 10 minutes, big chance he scores IMO. Put Palmer first sub to allow that.

Why do you have cash on the bench when they're at home to Burnley? Worried about rotation? I'd play him over Gabriel.

In regards to your actual question - Personally I'd lean on Watkins for (C) this week over Son - but I think the fun is making your own choice, so I think you should keep Son (C)

        It's good advice.

I'd sell that bench for hits.

Sometimes too much caution is costly.

So I'm being bold or foolish in going early on Son to Foden to play the fixtures!

          Thank you.

You've got a point there, what a bench! Haaland Cash and Tripper - probably the 3 golden boys a couple of months back!

Bold or foolish - guess we'll find out after this weekend! - either way it's outright brave! Good luck and hopefully it's the former - despite I own Son 😉

      B has more upside.

If within the near future you'll definitely do both (as in within the next 2-3 GW maximum) then I'd do Foden this week and Estu down the line.

I could do and I have considered it but I like the idea of being 1 transfer ahead of everyone else. Plus it allows me to roll next week. I might be hiding behind my sofa this week but I’m hoping long term it will pay off.

I’ll bring him in for Alvarez in GW22 if he’s back by then. I’ve got enough funds in the bank.

Think it is silly not to have Gusto in there for Bell, personally. The fooder is quite weak.

Moreno I'd be unsure on. Not actually sure how long Digne is out for?

You have immediate funding issues once Haaland is back, unless you're sitting on funds.

      1. Eyes of Blue
        • 3 Years
        1 year, 11 months ago

I like Gusto as a pick, but I’m not sure where I would play him over the others. If he’s gonna be benched for me most weeks, I’d rather just bank the extra 0.2m.

With Moreno yeah I will wait to see what Emery says today first before making a final decision. If Digne is out for a few weeks, then I like the upside Moreno has.

Yeah I’m sitting on funds. I’ve got more than enough in the bank to do Alvarez to Haaland in GW22 (or whenever he’s fit).

    5. 112kane112
      • 7 Years

Despite I like each individual choice - this team is very unbalanced.

No Haaland and no obvious route to Haaland (unless holding money as previously suggested)
No Salah for this week (even though it means booking a transfer, it is essential IMO)
Heavily differential against template (not necessarily a bad thing, but very risky)
Alvarez is not a good long-term choice when Haaland is back
      Very weak bench.

That being said, on the positive side of things, if it pays off, your rank could absolutely sky-rocket. When I look at it, I think you're more betting on the template names blanking than your players hauling, which is always a tough bet.

      1. Eyes of Blue
        • 3 Years

I have got funds in the bank ready to do Alvarez > Haaland whenever he is back. With Salah, I may well be hiding behind my sofa this week, but I’m hoping long term it can give me an advantage being one transfer ahead of most. It feels like a waste using a WC and booking the same transfers as everyone else.

I try not to focus too much on which players are template. I’ve just picked the players that I think are both good options now and also for the longer term, while keeping the potential upcoming doubles in mind.

I could, but I don’t like having selection headaches each week. I prefer having a cheaper bench and all my funds in my starting 11. I’ve got the money itb ready for when Haaland and Salah return.

That really depends on who you are transferring in rather than who you are transferring out.

As you're looking at taking the hits either way, it's a simple does the new player outscore the old player by 4 points in GW20 alone. (and a small element of are there price changes happening that could boost your TV by moving now)

The only way I would say go Bilva is if you want/need the funds elsewhere.

Arsenal have spent over £600m and won one fa cup since arteta took the reign

Under wenger they limited spending as Arsene didnt want the club to go down the route of buying sucess and were winning fa cups and reached a European final

So after attempting to buy success under arteta they are arguably at the same level or worse than under wenger late years and down hundreds of millions in transfer fees and wages.

People seem to think arteta is this great manager but he hasn’t developed any of the younger players at the club (saka was given his chance under emery). There is a lot of talent there but they are never given a chance to show their talent. Guys like smith rowe and Nelson are thrown to the bench and never given a chance whilst he goes and buys players instead of giving the homegrown youth a chance.

Arsenal are now like any other big corporate club, they have lost their identity. They spend like city (and yet complain city try to buy the league) but the difference is pep can buy players and buy success whilst the others like poch, ten Haag and arteta can’t.

The only manager I’d say at the top who hasn’t brought success is klopp and Liverpool

Some of your points have truth but why all this when there are teams like Chelsea and Man United knocking about?

Chelsea are literally copying our young team strategy and spending absolute fortunes to do it, on worse players

Arteta has got nearly everything right. I hated how he sold Emi Martinez though, which I said at the time. This season or next, Arteta has to win the league or CL, otherwise it’s a failure yeah. But with Guardiola around, City will always be clear favourites

Also, we don’t complain City try to buy the league. You need to tell the difference between a social media fan and a real fan. But City did buy the league between 2011-2018
