Probably a weird question, but should I start:

    A) Elliott (ARS A)
    B) Al-Dakhil (FUL H)

I think Elliott is likely to start against Arsenal but I'm less confident about his attacking returns, whereas Burnley could probably pull a clean sheet against Fulham. But we are still talking about Liverpool or Burnley....

Where do you see Elliott starting? Looks like the front 3 is fairly settled now & Szoboszlai is back to take the other 8 spot alongside Jones. I don't mind starting Al-Dakhil - Fulham have struggled for goals when Jimenez is out

        * although if Darwin is out (see below) maybe Elliott comes back in at RW...?

I think Gakpo would be more likely to take Darwin's place.

Jones started on Wednesday and I'd see Elliott taking his spot on Sunday, exactly because I think the rest of the (attacking) team remains the same.

Why do you have Elliott? Anyway go for the attacker.

A weirder question would be "If you could have any superpower, but it only worked on Wednesdays, what would it be?"

Valid question! It was a risk that didn't pay off. I am obviously planning to get rid of him, but I'll wait until next week so I can use two free transfers.

But you're right, the question could be even weirder!

          Answer is time manipulation obviously.

See, I was thinking the exact same! But could it be done without the side effect of every day you live basically being a week? If on every Wednesday I manipulate the time so that the next day is also Wednesday, three months of living will fast forward time by approximately two years. This combined with the the fact that the core of your super power would be focused on just being able to use it all the time (as opposed to something more directly useful like teleportation) made me second guess.

Al-Dakhil on fire. If he can rattle one in against the champions at the Etihad, what kind of carnage could he cause at home to Fulham?

Bench one of these: (have KDB and Haaland)

    a) Foden (BRE a)
    b) Jota (ARS a)
    c) Saka (LIV h)

I'd bench Foden, but I'm terrified of Pep roulette and would never have three City players in the first place 😀

Saka I guess. I know Foden isn't quite the same on the right but I think Brentford were playing Lewis-Potter at LWB so that looks a proper weak spot defensively

Think Reguilon will be back in that spot now as he was ineligible to play the game against his parent club Spurs. Would still be a weak area though as Reguilon is poor defensively

I just cannot understand for the life of me why people are so keen to ship Gross THIS WEEK. He plays a 'derby' game against a suspect defence in Palace, at home and with a massive point to prove after the last abysmal showing. There will be goals. The fixtures for brighton are also insane for the next weeks.
          MADNESS I say ..

It's not typically a high scoring fixture (1-1, 1-0, 1-1, 1-1, 1-1) tbf, although I agree Palace aren't looking that solid at the moment (and also score way more with Olise & Eze both available)

I'll be playing that same back 3 this week with Saliba on the bench. Chances of a clean sheet against Liverpool is slim compared to who the other 3 are playing against

I would say it is quite the opposite, fit Darwin increase Arsenal CS odds.

My joyous lack of a 4.5/bench fodder mid is causing me another headache:

    Martinez (Kelleher)
    Estu Tripps Saliba (Andersen, Beyer)
    Richarlison Palmer Foden Gordon (Saka!)
    Haaland (C) Watkins Solanke

Should I switch Richarlison to the bench and play Saka? Feels like a bold move sticking him on the bench, but don't think Sakas points ceiling is that high vs Liverpool.

    A) Roll transfer
    B) Alvarez & Saka > Haaland & Lewis-Potter - 4
    C) Alvarez, Bowen & Estupinan > Haaland, Lewis-Potter & Taylor (useful for GW29) - 8

    Current team:

    Dubravka
    TAA / Porro / Estupinan
    Palmer / Saka / KDB / Richarlison
    Alvarez / Watkins / Darwin

    Areola / Bowen / Tosin / Zinchenko

      A) I say roll it, that team is not bad. I also decided myself to wait until GW24 to get Haaland as he needs to get fit. Feed the goat!

    Any advice? 1FT 3.3m ITB 🙂

    Dubravka (Areola)
    Trent Porro Estupiñán (Saliba Branthwaite)
    Palmer Foden KDB Saka (Son**)
    Watkins Solanke Archer

Obvious would be Son out, finally, to any mid or downgrade to get Haaland…

Has to be Son downgrade to afford Archer to Haaland. You don't want to be relying on Archer as a starter

    Solanke - Watkins

    Turner - Archer - Doughty - Taylor* -

The one that blanks in 29

I can navigate one player blanking in a single gameweek. Looking at the big picture here and less blinkered.

I get what you mean, just that we have 6 weeks before GW29 and I wouldn’t want to avoid a player who could perform the best in that time because he doesn’t have a game in a single gameweek.

Isn’t it possible that they all blank in 29?

          Yup

If Villa beat Chelsea in FAC R4 replay (before 24 deadline) and beat Leeds/Plymouth in R5 then Villa blank in 29

Bournemouth blank if they beat Leicester in R5 (before 27 deadline)

Could also hold Solanke for Fulham away the following week and then bring in Toney for DGW25. By then we'll know for sure if Bournemouth blank in GW29.

Another good option, Solanke @ Fulham could be double digits. Fixtures not ideal for Toney but the double is difficult to ignore.

Struggling with my lineup for GW23, too bad to bench Jesus. At the same time both Villa and City could be in for big returns. Any advice?

Who to SELL to enable bringing in the City big hitters (Haaland and KDB)?
One has to go from each list:

    1. Richarlison
    2. Saka
    3. Foden

    a. Solanke
    b. Watkins
    c. Darwin

Depends on money. I capped Alvarez loads of times this season (though not last week) and he did fluff all.
