So not waiting for Rough with the Smooth because Ive just had my most horrific week ever, Ive had lower points totals before but in weeks where the average is also low.

This week I sold Saka and Watkins for KDB and Haaland for a hit moved the armband from Palmer to Haaland

and last min decided to bench Foden for Darwin because he had trained

Have had a pretty poor season but last 7-8 weeks Id clawed my way back to finally get under 500k from 2.5m and now I dont even want to check my rank

Im sure no one has a worse Rough this week

      Top Post for Max Misery

Also I benched Palmer for 18 pointer

      Ouch

I benched Saka and moved the armband from Foden to Haaland.

So always some errors but there's always next gw.

yeah will wallow for a day or two and then try to restart the recovery process.
try and get a low 6 digit rank by seasons end I think 5 digits is out of the question now

Not trying to rub it in but I have had a very smooth week. Decided to transfer in Hojlund for Nunez and Foden for Son.

Captained Palmer but was considering Watkins but the home fixture swung it for me.

Konsa came off on 59mins which was definitely rough and I chose Bowen over Saka.

Going to end up on 92 for the week.

Very rough. I captained Haaland over Watkins and also benched Foden. Not nearly as frustrating as yours.

The only one that bit you in retrospect was Nunez since he had a very tough fixture and was an injury doubt. The rest you were just unlucky, don't dwell on it.

Should I drop Alvarez for Adebayo and bring in KDB? That would give me:

    KDB Foden Jota Richarlison Saka
    Adebayo Haaland Watkins

With enough cash to upgrade Adebayo after DGW…

Dead-ending in GW 29 so I think losing Palmer is fine? Other option is Garnacho but would like him for 26 and would probably play over Palmer in 25 too…

    Alisson
    Trippier VVD Doughty
    KDB Foden Jota Barkley
    Haaland Toney Solanke

Dubravka Palmer Gabriel Hecke - 1m.

Plan is to BB DGW25, giving me 24 players that week.

I'm sure I'm not the only person who benched Foden. That's the problem with having 8 attackers - someone has to miss out. Saka was the only other one I was going to bench and after his 9 points, I was content. But I didn't expect Foden to pump out 20 points. That's as rough as it gets.

Now, a 2 or 3-pointer when I field Foden vs Everton is a near certainty.

    That is fantasy.

    1. Tommy Template
      • 11 Years

Gianni did too. Personally this is why I dont want a strong front 8, I'm very happy with some fodder coming in for emergencies rather than this benching headache malarky every single week.

I benched him and i feel it’s a consequence of having 8 strong attackers which is possible because there are so many cheap options and the premiums are out currently. When Salah and son return that will change but I’ll be downgrading one to bench fodder to avoid this. Generally the best defences tighten up in the last part of the season so I’m moving some cash into defence

    3. speardrops
      • 13 Years

I benched him too if it makes you feel better. 20 points rotting on the bench.

Played Saka, Palmer, Luiz, Gordon (transfer in), Haaland (c), Solanke and Watkins (vc).

      Painful.

Only sensible route to Jota was in Foden's place, so don't think I can do that now. Probably still need to get Haaland so who to sell to free some funds?

    A. Solanke
    B. Saka
    C. Trent

Or just go with no Haaland and roll with Foden, KDB and Alvarez...

Solanke would give me 5.3m so slim pickings. Possibly Adebayo and accept a likely hit in 26.

Saka gives £7.1m. I was eyeing Gordon but doesn't seem likely an option. Maybe Gross or even Douglas Luiz.

One of the reasons I keep coming back to C being the best bet

Got to admit when FPL is a huge amount of luck.

Was deciding between Burn, Martinez and Konsa for my replacement defender. Went Burn which was awful this week but the other two have gone and got injured so it probably is a net win for the long term stability of the team.

Also own Diego Carlos which looks great now that Konsa is out. Riding my luck for sure.

You're right, although Trippier did OK for me this week!

    Would you rather go;

    1) Jota + Watkins
    2) Saka + Darwin

I'm going with 2 as the only way I can get Jota in is by losing Saka and long term I think that won't pay off (not FH-ing in 29 and at the moment I'll have ten players for 26 with no hit, Saka is one of those). But if there was another way, I would prefer Jota over Darwin; so team-dependent, I guess.

On the face of it, two good gws ,nice greens...but my transfers cost a likely 18 point swing...

Haaland in and captain....vc Watkins - 13 points

Last gw KDB in for Saka, - 5 points this gw

Decent set up for dgw though

Captain choice logically. Haaland missed a big one on one. If you told me Haaland would get 80+ mins today I'd captain him again every single time.

KDB over Saka too early to judge. Could easily reverse or more by next week. Plus KDB has a DGW coming up.

With Pep playing everyone this GW, does the fraudulence strike next week? Guess we may get leaks

    Evening all. How’s this for a -4?

    Estupiñan > Branthwaite
    Gordon > Neto
    Solanke > Haaland

Would leave 0.0 ITB and give me 3 x City / 3 x Liverpool players.

    World nr.1 benched Foden.

So I'm feeling a little better as Haaland (C) and Watkins (VC) white starting Foden.
