Surely Trippier has to be considered as an option?

Best defender playing in 26 and 29?
    A) Reguilon
    B) Cash
    C) Pau
    D) Other?

Similar problem. Prefer Villa fixtures and without their injuries their defence but exactly that they have injuries and who is nailed?

I'd avoid Villa defenders with Kamara out personally, even with him they haven't looked great so him being out will be a big loss

    -8 for this
    Trent Porro Palmer out
    Regullion Bradley Kdb in

    Kamanski
    Regullion Bradley Trippier
    Ricarlison Kdb Foden Saka
    Watkins Haaland Darwin

    Areola Gabriel Gordon Taylor

    What you think

1FT. Have to take a -4 this week or next anyway to field 11.

    Dubravka/Areola
    TAA*, Porro, Gabriel
    Saka, Foden, Jota, Garnacho
    Haaland, Watkins, Darwin
    Areola/Dubravka, Palmer, Udogie, Taylor*

    A) Roll
    B) TAA to Trippier/Saliba/Ake etc
    C) TAA to defender < 5.4 and Palmer to KDB -4

    Options for C I’m thinking Reguillon/Dalot/Estupinan or Cash/Pau/Moreno etc

Think I am downgrading Trent to a cheap defender, probably one of Regs/Maguire/Sensei/Robinson. Whichever it is, it frees up the funds for Garnacho to Jota, and whilst it means a benching headache this week, I have Adebayo to be the 8th attacker. However he is going to quickly become Solanke again in 27 and probably books in a move for a fodder option at some point. It also means I wouldn't have 11 for 26 unless I took a hit. The alternative is Palmer. Which looks better?

    a. Garnacho to Jota - lose benchable 8th attacker, lose GW26 player
    b. Palmer to Jota - lose a great, cheap midfield asset, probably want back at additional cost after GW30

I’d go B. As good as value as Palmer is he has a few BGW fixtures and Garnacho gives you that extra player next week. You can always buy Palmer back.

    Areola (Neto)

Yep there is that and although the fixtures aren't kind, at least he has some fixtures where as I'll struggle in the blanks coming up! And there is some attacking threat. I'm cornered

Finding it quite tricky deciding between Gordon and Palmer as to who I should sell to bring in KDB.

There's a 0.3 difference between selling price and current price for both for me, Gordon marginally more expensive.

Gordon has the advantage of a better fixture this week and having a fixture of any sort next week (even if it's Arsenal away), whereas Palmer is the better asset overall.

There's a possibilty I would want both on a GW30/31 wildcard, so who would you sell?

    A) Palmer
    B) Gordon

I think I'm siding with Palmer, just, at the moment. Here's the rest of my team. 1FT 4.6ITB (thinking of downgrading one of my defenders to afford KDB):
    Dubravka
    Porro Estupinan Cash
    Saka Foden Jota Gordon
    Haaland Watkins Solanke

    Areola Palmer Kabore Robinson

    Thanks!

Selling Trent/Mo/Son/Salah/Bowen on a GW26 WC has been about as kind to me as it could have been in terms of their returns (to games) and returns (in games). Just a shame I sold both Garnacho and Saka on the eve of double figure hauls. Sure I'll regret not having the WC later on but it's kept me interested through the short winter days!

Struggling with the choice, but going with a cheap option (sub 5m) gives me the funds to do Jota to Salah in GW27 if I wish to do that / plan to use FH in GW29, so think it'll be Bradley or Reguilon as I'd like to have that option

      Main (linked) arguments against:

      Not long back from injury
Three games in a week culminating in the EFL Cup final
Has Gomez + Tsimikas as competition

      1. Nate(U)dog(ie)
        • 5 Years
        2 years, 2 months ago

This essentially. If you're spending over 6m on a Liverpool replacement then go with the one that's basically guaranteed to play both. I think Robbo is arguably a bigger rotation risk than Bradley this week

          • Fantasy Football Scout Member

I'm not convinced. Bradley hasn't played at all, due to some undisclosed reason.

Plus VVD and Robbo are utterly different players.

I'm leaning towards over-thinking here, but each to their own.

          Appreciate the feedback lads.

            It wasn't undisclosed.

He was on compassionate leave. He is back in training this week.

Nothing undisclosed, his father passed away and he was on compassionate leave. He's been back with the squad this week. Not saying I expect Bradley to play both, but given Robertson is back from injury, Gomez was very good in recent weeks and Tsimikas is back, I can see a lot of movement in that spot especially with the cup final looming

    Dubravka (Areola)
    Trent Gabriel Porro (Estu Lascelles)
    Jota Saka Richarlison Foden (Gordon)
    Haaland (TC) Watkins Darwin

A couple of problems. Also have to to manage gw 26, and would like to save FH beyond GW29
