Honestly just realized I sold Foden for Salah 2 wks ago.

Think it will be Son for Foden this wk.

    Wc/bb and fh intact

Careful chasing last week's points - Foden could be benched on the WC with R. Madrid in midweek

Ødegaard is pretty much nailed so would go for him. Havertz has been great and could continue but he’s clearly a more like xmins risk

Meanwhile Haaland couldn't score with 1.71 xG or Salah with 1.49 xG.

I wouldn't blame Olsen for any of those. Perhaps he could saved one, but after the ball left Foden's foot, they were quite likely to go in imo.

Foden is now a more important player to Man City than De Bruyne and Foden should be able to push De Bruyne out wide if he wants to play in the middle.

    1. The Pep Revolution
      • 13 Years

Absolutely this. City play so much better with Foden central, it should be set in stone and work around it. Madness putting him out wide.

You’ve got a lot of Spurs midfield if you’re not using a FH. Toney has SHU in 33 and lut is not a bad SGW. Maybe consider Maddison to someone like Ødegaard? Not sure Cunha is fully back in the team yet?

      yes.

      Depending on Saturday team news

      Neto
      Gabriel VVD Gusto
      Salah, Saka, Foden, Son, Palmer
      Solanke, Darwin
      Turner Semenyo, Estu, Doherty

May do the same but I don't have a FH34.

So I will have to decide whether to hide behind the sofa GW33 or not.

Will have to bring in Eze, Olise, Munoz for the Palace treble GW34 if I do hide (Munoz next week, maybe Foden to Arsenal mid for a hit. for 11 DGW players

I agree. It was working well while Haaland was injured. Haaland is a quality player who could come good at any time and it would be tough to rotate him regularly but it might be worth doing; it might help Haaland too

You could well be right. I hate the ‘follow your gut’ thing (usually means follow the high scores after they’ve happened and claim you foresaw it) but this feels like few years back when Bale was beating Son week after week, even from the bench and I just couldn’t bring myself to swap them. Logic says there are other players in better form right now.

I’m not selling of course though. Would be madness ahead of Palace and Luton 😉

      Saka if he’s fit 1000%.
It’s sounding fairly positive, but do you trust Arteta?

Am sat on the Areola-Dub pairing in goal and it’s bumming me out.
Have 1FT and my team is looking decent going forward (kept Foden thank god!) so I think it’s time…

Who would you bring for Areola? (Want a gw34 doubling keeper)

    A) Sa
    B) Pickford
    B) Neto (have Zab, so Bou double df)
    I’m leaning A

Coin toss between A or B for me, thinking of getting Pickford and then saving a spot for Ait-Nouri

I’m leaning A. Wolves been a big hit and cold but generally had a good season; Everton just don’t seem at the races right now. Also got RAN

B for Burnely at home (they have to win).

RAN is a better wolves option

Trouble is, my defence is set with double Ars & Zab. Not looking to take any hits to disturb that.
So I think I’ll go Sa to ‘cover’ RAN owners somewhat and at least they have decent fixtures in and around the double

I think Pickford may keep Burnley and Forest out than the Wolves double, but there you go. RAN attacking numbers are insane. But that of course is just my hunch

I felt bad for selling foden on my WC in GW30 & keeping maddison (stupidest decision of the season)

but looking at my ML looks like quite a few copied CCs & sold him as part of a -4/-8 hit

LTFPL sold him as part of a -4
Pras sold him as part of a -8

I kept him as a differential and sold Son. But I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t wracked with self doubt about it and that watching Spurs wasn’t painful.
Also, I didn’t expect such a heavy reward for keeping him as 20pts v 2pts!

Mine was Haaland V Darwin. Just had to back the goal difference theory. Thought Haaland would play and get a goal at least but I don't have a FH34. Kept Foden as he tends to better away from Home recently. (Current have 3-5-2 set up with Semenyo filler for 11.

I may change my mind GW33 though lol

Id be on 16 without wee Phil with only 3 to play. This time last night I thought Id be FH29 15 points. Haul from Salah tomorrow might cement a greenie this week.

Yep around 50% of my mini league has Foden and 50% hasn't. One has 52(-4) Trippier to Alt Nouri Gordon to Salah and Watkins to Salah.

He was in top 100 last year.

It is our old Yahoo FF Facebook group/

Yes mate. We had a FB group since 2008, I joined 2010.

I finish during COVID in top 1k, It is a nice league, as once in a while someone has a stormer, but in is very close this year. The bloke in 3rd sold Foden on his WC he was in in 8k I think before GW30.

It is so tight these mine margins. lol

Sounds great. It’s a few 50/50 calls that make the difference: eg Watkins and Salah early on, Areola, Zabarnyi etc that can add 20+ points in a few weeks.

            Good luck

(so far) Dropping Haaland is always so far, but he hasn;t been playing well but GW33 is Luton after all

But I kept him for GW11 against Bournemouth and he scored a point lol
