      Better than against Slovakia.

Not sure what these pundits had for breakfast, England have not improved.
Zero (0) shots on target from both sides... yeah massive improvement.....

The only thing I can think of is the bar is set so low, it's almost impossible to go down......

I mean, people need to take a step back here. Almost all the top teams opt to play like this in knockout football. England no worse than France. Clearly the more capable side here as well. Goal gonna come down Saka's wing.

Southgate looks to have switched back to the system he used at the last Euros.

However, he's not addressed the lack of creativity upfront.

The team are playing better across the midfield and using runners like Bellingham to carry the ball.

Still lots of issues that should have been resolved in the qualifiers.

    1. el polako

More mobile, dynamic forward in place of Kane would probably make better runs and benefit from Saka’s play on the right wing.

    2. chocolove
      • 15 Years

Come to qualifier. Southgate just give order like "play like what you played in the club, enjoy the game". Boom, 10 matchs, 30 goals, 2 conceded.
Come to the real event... "Listen, listen just remember to do backpass carefully"

The whole world was better in those times, the world is a total mess now.

Not really related, but a sign of the times. I saw yesterday that in the USA, there is 15.5million women between the ages of 18-24. 500k of those are only fans creators, so 1 in 3 women you meet that age is working in the sex industry.

I agree tbh... 90s and early 00s where a much simpler and probably better times.

At least I miss them very much.

sorry 3 in every 100 women that age*

everything was better in the old days. I mainly blame the internet, as much as I like it. Pretty much everything wrong these days is to do with the internet, or it negatively changed something. For example, kids these days don't even go out, but play internet games all day.

I was born in the late 80's, so I am in a weird generation where i experienced all the older things, but have witnessed the emergence of tech. Its been like an industrial revolution tbh the last 30 years.
