Kai with these fixtures over Muniz is not worth it imo. However, Watkins costs more.

Nunez is back ; assume Diaz and Gakpo are or coming. Jota starts will be rare I suspect, he’s dynamite off the bench which is probably his best position.

What if sanchez makes a couple of blunders in first 2 or 3 gws?

Better to go for a nailed on keeper. as you want to spend your transfers on attacking bandwagons early on in the season

wildcard gw2 interesting strategy. rather go for cucurella or reece james from chelsea defence. saying that chelsea defence doesnt fill me with confidence regardless of the fixtures.

i think their attack will fare much better. Nkunku and Lavia will make a huge impact

                1 year, 7 months ago

no it's my strategy this year for first time and I really feel this may work.
BB gw1, WC gw2 to get haaland, palmer, foden, nkunku...
load up on arsenal, newcastle, spurs and ... for gw1

may just pass on chelsea defence because I will have both palmer and nkunku

Gibbs-White has been involved in 14 goals in 20 pl starts since Nuno took over Forest. (4 goals 10 assists)

With (BOU sot WOL bha FUL) in 5 of first 6 gws he is one of the best budget options at 6.5m imo. Takes pens as well

he is nailed and mostly plays full 90 minutes. kulusevski and maddison get subbed more often.
he always has a high xG. I hope he does better this time.
and plays for a far more attacking team than MGW

Cheap attacking coverage from the most gung ho side in the league. Think he's nailed to start the season with some good fixtures.

Passes (90%) of the eye test when I see him play as not clinical enough, but I think he's worth a punt. Not like you're keeping these players all season and a good price point to hop on a bandwagon.

A or B? Do you spread the Salah money around?

In A, there's no bench and playing Andersen, Mykolenko and Robinson at the back every week.

Have Haaland and Palmer as captaincy options in both.

    A) Areola, Mykolenko, Andersen, Faes, Salah, Stewart

    B) Pope, Gvardiol, Munoz, Trent, Amad, Muniz

    Hendersen/Flekken
    Gvardiol / Guehi / Robinson

Really like it a lot of smart picks here.
Just hope you get a few weeks of starts from Jota.
Big problem is 2 * 4.5 GK, neither of which might start, anyway just pick one when we know more and save the other .5. And make Guehl Munoz

Agree with comment above however if Quansah plays Sunday then that changes and he would offer great value.
Sanchez is a no go til we know who starts
Mykolenko looks like a trap to me. Lots of better 4.5s to choose from.

The other goalkeeper too. For a 4.0 goalie just get any really low ownership one so value can’t drop.
Would only have Fab if the other goalie was hammers starter.

I got those 2 * 4.0 defenders too. You gotta take on some risk at the start of the season. I do prefer Andersen over Burns.

Mainly picking on small points- overall it looks good.

Another solid option. Would Nkunku, Bailey and Gibbs-White be excessive going for three 6.5 midfielders?

That's too many @6.5 imo. I want at least one and a max of 2. A lot of it depends on the structure of the rest of your team though.

Any chance Bobb starts GW 1 or 2 or probably just GW1?

Plan is about 90% WC GW 3 and just hit up the first 2 week fixtures hard.

Every year this game gets harder if you don’t start well. Wasn’t the case 5 or 10 years ago.

It depends a lot on the Community Shield.
He was very good in the pre-season, and I expect Pep to reward him at the start of the season, the rest depends on him.
He's on my team, worth the risk I guess, even ahead of Rogers.

How essential is Watkins to be up front w Isak and Haaland?

He is incredible highly owned. I want to see how he looks in pre season first, but will likely move to him after the arsenal game.

Good option, but massively overperformed last season especially assists, (18A vs 4.02xA), so I don't think we can expect the same stellar numbers. Happy to wait and see imo

You tempted to put him in based on that and United’s injuries?

For 7 million he could be a great differential to start the season with.

Probably not. When a player gets this many seasons and starts getting inconsistent I don’t like starting the season with them.

Chelsea look a bit confused. Think they could have built off last season if they did not sack Poch with Nkunku fit.

Think possession will help them against the bottom half of the league but they'll struggle against the big 6 if they keep giving into old habits of playing a high line.

    Haaland could feast again.

My first draft had neither Haaland or Salah. My latest draft has both.

    How's this?

    4.5 (4)

    Gvardiol, 4.5, 4.5, (4.5, 4)

    Salah, Eze, Nkunku, ESR, (Rogers)

    Haaland, Isak, Havertz

Jesus might take some Havertz minutes so I don’t like that pick.
Also would like some Spurs attack whether that be Son or Johnson.

Gordon and a 5.5m mid. Bailey and Gibbs-White. Many more combos are possible, its just that how much you rate them.

Like it, About 90% the same as me right now. Only difference is I go Son over Watkins but you do end up needing 2* 5.5 mids to make the 352 work. And I guess that can’t work long term, so you are where I want to be by GW 3 or 4

ESR seems to be getting a lot of traction on here. I'm interested to know why he would be preferred ahead of Andreas, who's the same price, more proven and on pens?

Some people seem to think the drop down from Arsenal to Fulham is the same as Mbappe playing for Fleetwood in League Two. Fact is ESR is still playing against Premier League defensive, but now for a team who will have far less of the ball in the opponent's 3rd.

    4. Tonyawesome69

Probably due to likely playing further forward therefore higher open play threat.

Why is Andreas considered "more proven" than ESR?

Because he's played far more consistently and as result delivered far more points.
