I have three 6.5 midfielders and none of them are Nkunku 😆

Despite Chelsea being a hot mess and we don’t know what to expect should I still have Nkunku in my team?

Garnacho Gibbs-White Kulusevski my current trio.

I expect him to play cam but only time will tell if they push palmer out wide

My second 6.5 preference was bailey

Either Gibbs white or kulu .

Does Gibbs white tend to sit deeper in some games?

Kulu is good but if you have Solanke would give him a miss

I have Haaland, Isak and Havertz. I think Solanke needs a minute to settle into the club and how they play whereas Havertz is ready to go and second season for him could be massive.

Not sure how deep MGW sits, I just know he is heavily involved in Forest attacking play and on free-kicks and pens.

By no means the finished article, but first draft thoughts please:

    Pope (Sa)
Dias Branthwaite Saliba (Barco) (Harwood Bellis)
    Odegaard Salah Jota Rashford Hudson-Odoi
    Toney Wood (Strand Larsen)

    £6m itb

Very different from most teams which is good to see. A bit light up front and not sure Toney will smash it like he was before, your team is too light up top. Garnacho is a much better pick than Rashford for same price. I think Muñoz/Maatsen way more fun to own than Branthwaite. I like the rest.

Is Salah worth the £5m over Diaz?

    1. Bushwhacker
      • 7 Years

On pens .. probably. Diaz can be dynamite but can go missing occasionally and Gakpo/Jota can both sub in on left whereas Salah is rarely removed.

Well no because they don't play for Liverpool.

I think Jota/Diaz is fine as long as the funds are used wisely elsewhere and get the starts. Also this is a new setup under Slot and the recent friendly didn't give confidence on Salah's role in the team.

But that “if they get the starts” is a big if!

This seems to happen every single pre season people argue why Salah isn’t worth it despite being the best fpl asset of all time

I didn't say he wasn't worth it. My initial response was questioning BW stating 5m difference between Salah and Diaz is worth it due to pens.

Salah v Diaz isn't a simple 1v1 comparison as there is a 5m difference. Like I said if you use the funds to elsewhere wisely then you can go against Salah

Tell me what’s wrong about what I said, you can’t 😉

They were epic with Firmino and changed their front line to accommodate Nunez but he isn’t clinical enough. Salah’s role also changed in the process as well

only saw some extended highlights but i think both are good options. they're different price points so not really worth comparing.

nkunku was still playing in the central role with Palmer coming in from the right when both on the pitch. Palmer will 100% outscore Nkunku with pens and set-pieces on his side, but Nkunku might end up making a mockery of his 6.5 price.

if you are between the 2 for the start of the season, Nkunku having a full pre-season under his belt makes him feel a more sensible pick at his price. He's getting in alot of scoring positions in around the penalty spot.

Fairly settled for now with WC GW 6 pencilled in.

    Sels
    Quansah - Hall - Mykolenko
    Salah - Saka - Jota - ESR
    Haaland - Isak - Wood

    Fabianski - Bergvall - Robinson - Barco

    GW 2 - Save FT
    GW 3 - Save FT
    GW 4 - Wood + Saka ➡ Pedro + Palmer
    GW 5 - Save FT
    GW 6 - WC

Defense rotation gives the following fixtures -

    GW 1 - SOT,ips,BHA
    GW 2 - BRE,bou,LEI
    GW 3 - BOU,ips,mun
    GW 4 - IPS,NFO,WHM
    GW 5 - BOU,NFO,lei

6 promoted teams in 15 starts and 2 against Solanke less Bournemouth.

I think I’m ready to go unless injuries crop up. 🙂

Quansah is a rotation risk with Konate

Hall is a rotation risk if Newcastle sign a CB as Burn could move back to LB

Barco is a rotation risk with Estupinan when he returns

Konate is out of favour and looking to leave the club after a fall out according to Liverpool echo which makes Quansah super nailed.

I need Hall only for the first 2 game weeks which I’m sure he’ll play. May as well shift to Burn if I want extra security before gw 1.

Estupinan won’t return before GW 5. So that won’t be a concern since I’ll be WCing in gw 6.

        Points over pounds

Moreover my players are mostly low owned. So high chances of earning TV quickly if the do well

If Newcastle rotate best with west ham I'm going with Longstaff/Rogers.

Sounds real ugly, yet affords me the team I really want.

    Ideas?

Longstaff may be on borrowed time after a few GWs. Tonali is available again from GW3. Willock should also be pushing for minutes after his long term injury problems.

Don't like Armstrong at all. Muniz is a better pick.

      The rest looks decent.

Feel like we need an Arsenal attacker in the first 3.

Looks decent. The 3.0 ITB gives you wiggle room to upgrade one mids when you're ready.

thats what i thought. Not having Nkunku worries me but I think ESR has better fixtures to start with

I think waiting on Nkunku isn't necessarily a bad thing. Who knows how Chelsea will get on. He's in my current squad, but on the bench for GW1

I thought I nailed my team for the start of the season then I looked at my entire defence in GW3 - awful.

I don't think many teams will have a great DEF in GW3 tbh. Mykolenko has a decent fixture though

Is Calafiori nailed? Thinking of going with him over Saliba for attacking potential.
