This is probably how I will start. Very soon now...

    Hendo
    Konsa Mykolenko Saliba
    Saka Eze Nkunku Jota
    Isak Haaland Watkins

    Fabiański Andersen Barco Winks

Can someone help me out with the following please?

    A) Virgil, Romero, Joao Pedro
    B) AWB, Anderson, Solanke

Or if B, any alternate 4.5 defs you prefer?

    Thanks

Not sure who you’ve got but imo there’s better 6m than Van Dijk, and more appealing 4.5m than Romero. Saliba/Gvardiol with Robinson/Hall would allow you to get a 6m forward such as Wood/Isak for example 🙂

For B, Robinson/Hall/Solanke would be a good combo.

It's easy to get swayed by the vacuum that is this site but Romero scored 5 goals last season and is generally good in and around the box, VVD the same. If you like those picks, then stick with them. I prefer A to B. Alternative 4.5's.....Robinson looks attacking, Quansah could provide Liverpool defensive cover instead of VVD if you want the extra money

I think I’m leaning towards going without Trent or Solanke more than anyone else now, just looking at the first 3 weeks.

Wood and Saliba offer good alternatives to Trent & Solanke in this period.

Same, I know what you mean (I think) new club, you never know if they hit the ground running, he’s hardly prolific either, 30
Goals in a hundred or so games.

Wood & Muniz could offer very similar with their opening 3.

I’m just interested to see how the young Hurlezer or whatever his name is goes. I’ll go with Smith-Wood so don’t want a Muniz double up. Wood is a Kiwi and therefore lollygagger!

I mean, it looks good on paper but dodging Salah is one thing, having to dodge Salah, Son, Saka & Palmer is putting a lot of heavy lifting on Bruno because of pens, for all the chances he stat pads, they dont have a real finisher to convert them.

Could be a genius move though.

I dont understand why so many CCs are off Arsenal, the defence is elite, both games last year it shut City down completely, the attack scored 91 goals, only City score more.

Arsenal (like City) are bordering on fixture proof with both teams being the difficult fix.

      1. Barphilona
        • 11 Years

I think it’s more to do with the price points, especially in attack anyway. E.g. there’s so many viable options in midfield this year, that it’s hard to actually get someone like Saka in if you want Salah as well - and especially if you want Haaland. Then upfront there’s more appealing options than Havertz and Jesus.

The Villa game is also skewing this for me, Arsenal lost both games last year but that really didn’t tell the story, in both games they opened Villa up so many times they they should have won both games.

Wolves, Villa & Brighton is a great start

    Two Questions

    1) Are we sure Henderson is number one at palace, last I checked Sam is still there.

    2) Where are all the teams with Burn, am I missing something (like is not an close to returning maybe’s)

Ya it autocorrected Botman and a bunch of stuff.

        Is hendo number one?

        And is burn’s spot nailed?

      Henderson is nailed.

No idea why anyone is considering Newcastle defence. Aside from gw1 I don’t see cleans

    Last piece of the puzzle.

Fixed the rest of my team but have 2 heavy options here I am thinking about - as I want Bruno after reading Marchs' post.

    A. Porro. Eze. Gibbs-White (swap to Nkunku GW2)
    B. Gvardiol. Bruno. CHO (swap to ESR GW2)

      Typing error.

      A. Gvardiol. Eze. Gibbs-White (swap to Nkunku GW2)
      B. Porro. Bruno. CHO (swap to ESR GW2)

Don't book GW2 transfers whatever you do, a recipe for disaster.

    A) Son & Wood
    or
    B) Odegaard & Solanke

(Other mids Gordon, Jota, Eze & ESR with Haaland & Isak)

I was on A for a long time myself then I went to isak and jota

I am set on rotating five 4.5 defenders. Do you think any of. Mykolenko, Konsa/Pau, Andersen (have Hendo), Murillo/Aina should ahead of my current 5?

    Robinson
    VDV
    Lisandro
    Quansah
    Hall

The best (and in my opinion the only) way is to write it down GW by GW. Who would play? Who is the first to come in if there's a no-show?

But with a gut feeling I like your current 5 just a bit more. It's still a close call. You need Quansah and Hall to "keep" their places.

I'm guessing you don't plan to be mucking around with transfers for 4.5s so I'd consider if they are long term secure picks. Is Quansah?

    (a) Saka + JMurphy
    (b) Gordon + Jota

    Which do you prefer?

I'm currently with Gordon & Jota.

But if Murphy plays regularly he can be gold for 5.5

I'm currently with Gordon and Jota as well. But with 0.5 in the bank, I'm thinking both Saka and JMurphy could be the differential against the templates

    A) Trent, Jota, Havertz
    B) Robinson, Salah, Muniz

Not captaining Salah. It’s obviously A but why does not having Salah feel so wrong

It's A as scary as going with out Salah is, good luck in not crumbling!

Because it’s been the norm for so long, same way as having 14m Van Persie after 3 stunning seasons seemed right but was so wrong in the end.

If you don't see yourself captaining Salah in game week 1, 5 and 6, I don't see much advantage having Salah. The value spread across 3 players can easily better Salah's points.

Anyone figured out how to sort by rotation on the fixture ticker on the app?

    1. Ausman

      1. Click on a team (e.g. Brighton)
      2. Scroll down and you will see a button that says "Sort By" click it.
      3. Click on the button that says "Rotation"
Brighton will now appear at the top of the list.

Nah that doesn’t work. Not on the app. And you’re not scrolling down to Sort By, that’s above the fixture matrix. Think you might be getting mixed up with the website.
