            He is better with his feet, which suits Slots style of play. I think he might start the next game, but there's risk of him dropping in that time and more risk of him not starting. It's a gamble

    One that really is on radar now, is Szoboszlai.

    Liverpool continued pre-season plays and he was the one from the midfielders making the runs into the box. We know he is capable of long range goals, but if he can add in the simple tap ins then we have a gem at his price.

    For example - it won't show up in the stats, but Salah isolated the full back and crossed rather then driving into the box.It was cut out, but running into the 6 yard box was Jota and Szoboszlai. Pretty much a replica of the pre season game vs United where Jones made that run and scored.

        Jota I love, but he will play less due to competition in his spot and injury record. Jones and Elliott will get plenty of game time, but even then it won't necessarily be instead of Szoboszlai due to his versatility.

          Slot is not Klopp. If Jota keeps playing where he is and doing the business as again he is, only a fool would not play him or give him less mins unless they were 3.0 up and he's involved in 2.

            Yeah but 79 was the max expected today. As Nunez and Gakpo get fit I expect less minutes ; even more so when CL starts.

              Not even attempting to be cheeky, but if Liverpool are still in a game and it tips 60 mins, Nunez and to a lesser but still notable extent, Gakpo are massive downgrades. Id play him as long as I needed to.

                Depends on the opposition tbh. Neither are downgrades, three great options. Jota will get rested and rotated at times.

                Jota is the best scorer, may be best suited to the role, but the other two have qualities and also Jota record means he needs to be handled with care.

                He will pick up niggles and injuries, puts himself about a lot.

                Once champions league starts, I expect rotation amongst the forwards. Salah safest currently, as we don’t have as many players to play wide right.

        On a few opportunities he broke forward with the rest of the attackers, as from the midfielder he has that turn of pace and inclination to get into the box. It is from pre-season a tactic Liverpool are doing, where the wide forwards keep the width and then isolate the full backs. The false nine and a midfielder try to get into the box for a low cross.

    Wildcard always tempts me early doors

    Need to keep the knees from Jerking but like the looks of some players i betted against

    Salah, Trent, Brighton (Saw some extended highlights) looked very good
    Rogers getting 90min

    Saka + Havertz double up (have only Havertz)

    Southampton put up decent attacking numbers ( Armstrong could be a good punt)

    If i were to bring week 4 wildcard forward to week i would go with something like

    Raya
    Trent Robinson Porro Dunk
    Salah Rogers Jota Saka
    Haaland Armstrong

    But very early days yet

        It was early doors and he was unlucky. Was a 50/50 but can see how it was given. He did well to knuckle down and play the other 80 mins. Felt a little bit like the Alamo at times watching 5 Newcastle players block 18 yard efforts, but they did and will learn. Schar let them down.

    Probably madness but I like the look of Havertz. Downgrading Isak to him would allow for Eze to Jota, or to bring in Garnacho and Mitoma for Eze and Murphy.

    Would also sell Barco and probably bring in Robinson for Mykolenko.

    Unlikely to do it but I do think early makes sense with the new rules.
