Annoying that I was stupid and left 0.5 million itb instead of having Rogers over Sangare. Having also Lewis Hall stinking in my team, I need decent starter or I have to start Joao Pedro vs Arsenal. I am no fond of taking a hit, but I hate even more the idea of losing also money and 4 points. So:

    A) Sangare to Rogers
    B) Lewis Hall to Rico Lewis

I agree. Aston Villa can score more vs Leicester. If Leicester is to attack at home, Rogers can do a lot of harm in counter attacks. Probably more assisting the assister more than scoring himself is my fear though.

My favorite thing in FPL is when people take a good asset out like Eze, they drop in price, that asset scores the next week, then everyone rushes to bring them back in.

I started with him last season, think I got rid the GW4 he scored. In 7 GWs 1 goal 0 assist then out for 3. By season halfway he had 2G 1A

For argument sake let's say Eze only gets 2 goals and assist by GW10. Would you say sellers made a mistake? (btw I'm almost likely holding him at least next 2 games unless injury/suspension)

Depends on when you wildcard and if you have other pressing matters in your team!

If you had a free transfer to burn and he kept playing like that and another great option like ESR is playing well, probably bad to keep him.

Think he's not a priority for most people's team now though.

I understand it's all about points but that is outwith our control. If your decision process is good with xMins, stats, eye test etc but the returns are not there then I don't think folk can put that down as a mistake

        Nope, 4th year.
Switched to draft league 2 years ago where panic selling/buying does absolutely nothing to help your cause.
Underlying stats, positioning, involvement, and consistent minutes wins leagues.
Sure, the occasional punts happen to catch a player in a run of form, but it's a marathon.

Money, money and money. One thing to consider is that taking a hit now is less bad than previously. In theory it gives possibility to save tranfers later. I have two issues in my team and if I take care of one now (even for a hit), I have "only" one booked transfer next week.

At this stage of the season no-one has that many free tranfers. Biting the bullet rather early than late may give possibility to save transfers later.

    Bit sideways?

Saka & Isak > Havertz & Palmer for free

Can't ignore Palmer any longer, but can't do away with Arse just yet either (have exact money to do the mids only)
Would eventually be swapping Havertz for Watkins if he ever gets his backside in gear.

Annoyingly 0.1 short of what I wanted to do, thanks to Nkunku dropping. (Isak, Nkunku & ESR > JP, Palmer & Rogers -4)

        Only other obvious option is
        Salah & Nkunku > Jota & Palmer

Would leave just over 1m ITB as well.

I've got a defence of Trent, Gabriel, Robinson and Greaves, with space for another 4.5.

Realistically Trent and Gabriel will play every week. So would you go for a punt like Rico Lewis knowing I've got 2 playing defenders as back up, or go for a safer pick in Konsa?

Rico Lewis is a transfer out waiting to happen, don’t think it’s worth it, unless you plan to wildcard soon, in which case it may be a punt

Pep may want to keep playing him over Walker. Rodri still weeks away. Kovacic picked up a knock though probably nothing. If Lewis rises to 4.6 and you have cover then there's plenty of time to fix

Threshold for price drop becomes higher after red flag, but he can still drop. And he likely will soon.

Best combo for next 4-5 GWs?

    A) Saka, Watkins, rotate Wissa/J.Pedro
    B) ESR, Haaland, J.Pedro

With all the good budget options, do you think it makes sense to squeeze 4 premiums if on WC?

    Sanchez
    Robertson Lewis Robinson
    ESR Rogers Saka Palmer Salah
    JPedro Haaland

    Cheers

It’s beautiful sure, but I’m wondering what that bench is like

Jebbinson, the 4.0 Villa Guy and Faes ahah

        Sanchez
        TAA Lewis Robinson

        Havertz Haaland

        As this?

I think I prefer this one even though it loses Saka

Lewis and Madueke could become issues fast. I personally don't trust Sanchez.

Fair points. I think Lewis gets starts over the next weeks. If not, the Villa Guy should start the next 3 to 4 GWs.

Madueke - pure gamble based on low price, form, fixtures and hope that Cold Palmer exponentiates Chelsea’s attacking capabilities in general.

Sanchez - just hoping that Chelsea could rack up some CS during this run of good fixtures. But it is wishful thinking I guess ahah

Semenyo over Madueke could boost your defence and bench(?)

                Not fan tbh.

Maybe TAA Jebbinson —> Robertson JPedro

                To allow more squad depth

Few players not entirely risk free but you would hope the premiums bail you out

He didn't really have much mitigation for a so-so season last time. Started 31 games, I think he only missed 1 game completely. Not an amazing points tally considering that and the club he's at. Maybe he's improved. Maybe Slot is getting more out of him. Every chance its just a purple patch in a good run of fixtures.

Which one of these would you see as the main problem to address for gw3?
    Having …
    A) Henderson in goal
    B) Solanke out injured
    C) No Aston Villa attacker
    D) No Cole Palmer in team

    1. Warby84

Surely you can decide? Taking a hit? Definitely not the keeper so maybe Solanke

I'm honestly going to wildcard GW3 or GW7. Not because I'll need to but because I'll be bored of international break.
