Hi gents, this is where I’m at with a potential WC

    Raya
    Aina - Robertson - Gabriel
    ESR - Jota - Palmer - Salah - Rogers
    Haaland - J.Pedro
    _________________________________

Realise the bench is wack, but the only thing concerning me is Raya + Gabriel too much?
Is it worth downgrading Gabriel to a 4.5 to upgrade Pedro or maybe Robertson to TAA?

    Many thanks opinions most welcome.

i dont think Robertson worth it. either TAA or just a cheaper one.

I’ve been really impressed by him especially the last game, was just as attacking if not more than Trent, saving that 1m does go a long way, but yeah I hear ya……Trent is Trent

Robertson's been really passing the eye test and a significant 1m saving

Agreed he has looked fantastic, the saving comes in handy.

Where do you stand on double Arse defence on WC Ser Davos? 🙂

So I think Raya as a set and forget is a no brainer and then for the next 3 I'd hold fire on double Arsenal defence, Not saying they couldn't clean, but I'd release a bit of cash (1.5) even if it means ITB

Tbh I'd possibly be more inclined to go VVD for Gabriel as it stands.

You want to keep open a Saka slot and possibly a Havertz spot even though we're starving the forward line of cash, Haaland aside.

also with Raya, you're only 1 FT away from a long term move of double Arsenal defence, even if you pay a -4 one week just to get it done

So far, I rate the Pool defence as better than the Arsenal defence. Long term, they're equal I think

Cheers buddy! Agreed I think he is just a set & forget keeper, nobody from the 4.5’s appeal.
I was eyeing up VVD but by keeping Jota I’ve already tripled on Pool, not sure if it’s worth giving Madueke that spot.
A route to Saka is tricky, as it looks there, it would have to be Palmer > Saka later or take Haaland out which I don’t like at all haha

you're welcome. I've been a bit out of FPL for a while so I'm wary of having too much input and since covid I've gone south a lot

All that aside, I agree on the 4.5s. Yes, there's been a few moves that may mean a 4.5 emerges, but how are we to guess? For 5.5 we can have all year-round ARS cover and then pivot to double when we feel its right. Funnily enough I think it may be a case of Robbo/TAA+Havertz outscoring Saliba/White/Gabriel+Jota/Diaz but it's close.

Early doors I've really liked the controlled look of Pool's defence whilst Arsenal could've/should've conceded in both.

I'm just about making a last ditch attempt to squeeze in Saka below.

                  Good luck and best wishes

                    Completely understand there haha.
Agreed, just feels a lot more cozy having that set and forget in Raya.
That is a close one, I’ve no way of telling who would score more from those combo’s, complete coin toss for me there.
I’ve also been amazed by Pool’s defence, Slot has made all this work quite quickly.
If it wasn’t for Raya’s heroics then Arsenal would have of conceded by now.
I’d love to shoehorn Saka in, I actually could if I was playing a 4-5-1 but I do need that extra striker.
I’ll take a gander below anyway pal.
Huge best of luck to you Ser 😉

Sounds decent enough there bud, it is wise to plan for Saka down the line, I just can’t seem to switch from this build, Watkins is so expensive at and I’d hate to lose Salah for anyone as I think he’ll just be a mainstay

Yeah, I'll come out with 2 FTs and 1.5m itb on current draft; almost feels just as important as the WC as well as the WC structure

my 1.5 comes from no Wissa

I don't think Johnson is nailed. There's Greaves and possibly Woolfenden, not sure why he doesn't get a mention

            very similar here

            I'm also on Lewis

            ESR may become Semenyo

Robertson may become Konate/Leif/Konsa to allow for Jota to become Saka. Again, it's all about structure with cash in Haaland and those mids

                Raya - Vlad

                Leif/Konate - Lewis - Robinson - Konsa/4 - Greaves

                Salah - Saka - Palmer - ESR/Semenyo - Rogers

                Haaland - Pedro - Jebbison

                ***2 FTs***

I'm thinking we could play more GW by GW given the monster hauls so I may just have Saka this GW and use the FTs to split him down to Jota and a Pool defender for 4 and 5. Willing to be a bit more "upside chasing" rather than this plod, save the FT, save the FT. I think there's point there in abundance and shuffling may help to expose/capture them.

I am running Win 11, Google Chrome Version 128.0.6613.114 (Official Build) (64-bit)

Only encounter it today, don't have issues with other FFS pages, only with main page, I suspect is the moving horizontal bar.
