It seems now the champions leauge has many more farmers league level teams because of the incresed amount of games.

Usual FPL or unfounded bigger league seniority complex bias.
      "Farmers leagues"
"Scotland shouldnt be at the euros but should be in another tournement with San Marino and Seychelles"

Seen and heard it all. Celtic's TV revenue stream is 1/40 of Southampton's this season.

          Now or in 5 years?

          Now? Mid table.
5 years? 2nd or 3rd behind the oil state sponsored nations.
10 years? 1st. If sponsored by said same oil state nations. Hope it never happens. Thats not what we're about.

Stereotyping again. You're having a laugh. Celtic is massive and if they had dirty Sky money like EPL clubs, you're not telling me Villa would get into UCL ahead of them.

              2024:

              MUFC turnover £600m
Celtic £125m mainly from transfer activities and world wide promotion.

              Usual but not unexpected bias.

Chelsea spent a billion in a year and finished midtable. You’d be relegated if you got dropped in the league and end up yo-yo’ing, let’s be real.

But if Celtic were in the Premier, they'd be subject to all the Prem's financial advantages, would have much more money for players and wages etc.
Celtic are a huge club, they'd get money through the door every game more than nearly every Prem club. So put it in context, they'd hit high

They wouldn’t be able to buy a whole new team in one summer, and would struggle to stay up. Newcastle have the richest owners in football and still have to sell to buy.

Can smash anyone at Celtic Park. Just ask Barcelona or Man Utd.

Usual deluded overexaggerated dismissal of what Celtic have actually achieved in the last 20 years by EPL mid table teams supporting fans.

The club is massive. And wear the white cowboy hats.

I'd say Saka despite owning Havertz.

But if you WC, I can see an argument for going Havertz because of the 2m extra he frees up and because he'd cover a forward slot that could be difficult to fill.

      Flekken 4.0
      TAA Gabriel Lewis Faes Greaves
      Saka Foden Mbeumo Semenyo Rogers

Lewis could be any 4.5m like Aina, Kadioglu

Hello mate!! Yeah A is my second opinion I think. Just wondering if it might be a coy move to keep him
And hope it plays the ‘easier’ fixtures and hope I get lucky with the odd attacking return too

I kind of look at Fulham's fixtures and don't really see many clean sheets here through to boxing day:

NEW, nfo (to me FPL has the 2 FDR wrong here), mci, AVL, eve, BRE, cry, WOL, tot, BHA, ARS, liv, SOU, che

Lewis is the sensible sale but I still kind of fancy him to have a breakout season

Cheers mate!! Yeah I agree I don’t see many if any clean sheets for Fulham at all. Just he has that attacking threat that Konsa doesn’t have, Although Villa so have the higher clean sheet chances, very close call!! Agree with Lewis too, and usually he would be the one I’d sell first I just wonder if it might be a shrewd move to keep him, lots to ponder!!

Yeah as below there are valid reasons for all 3, it's not easy
Konsa = more boring, AI team type pick
Robinson = attacking but fixtures turn
Lewis = expect pain with benchings and subs but he's a 4.5 City def that will start some games still

Thankyou mate!! Yeah probably in that exact order is the order I would have at keeping a player coz I like to know players will always start, need to give it plenty of thought, no need to do anything this week so time to think!!

There is good reason to ditch all tbh. I will give a case for losing Robinson, but I am not saying thats the right pick necessarily.

In the next 4, you probably only play him vs NFO.

He concedes in the rest, and maybe even in that NFO game. In fact he probably concedes in every fixture for the next 8 or so. He might get the odd assist, but its probably gonna be 4 pointers.

If I was wildcarding, I wouldn't keep ESR or Robinson.

Yeah I agree mate, no clean sheets coming their way anytime soon with those fixtures , just that bit of attacking threat he offers makes me consider keeping him, lots to consider!! Could get rid of two of them and get Gabriel and Porro and just have them set and forget with TAA for the majority

This lineup is tricky but not convinced Slot wants to start Darwin in the league yet, instead that will come midweek vs. WHU in the cup. In any case Jota is historically actually pretty good in FPL off the bench and Slot does seem to like making these 60 min subs.

    Saka Mbeumo Rashford Rogers Winks
    Haaland Watkins DCL

Rashford is quite the punt. But he's a streaky player and he's scored 2 in 2 now. Maybe he's about to go on one of those runs where he's the best value player in the game? Certainly has the potential to make it happen.

Agree - certainly have Rashford in my draft WC. Was going to go Amad, as ManU look on the improve, will need to fund this by downgrade TAA I'm afraid.

I like it and always need a punt on a WC and Rashy could surprise us all.

Eze, Garnacho, Kudus, Nkunku, Mitoma, Barnes

There are plenty of options at that sub 7 price that are all kind of not convincing but have the potential to become really good.

I forgot he is 6.9mil, thought it was 6 mil, shows how much he has dropped in my mind.

Prefer lewis to gvardiol and save the money. Gvardiol isnt sny more nailed than lewis. Too many punts in midfield.

Argument for going for cheap MUN coverage through Amad?

I don't care about coverage when it comes to teams that aren't the big 3. It's whether or not he'll score goals and get points. I can see Amad being viable but Garnacho has actually looked the most dangerous United attacker. He'll be starting regularly soon

Coverage wrong word, it's more I'm been burned by MUN a lot in FPL and Amad is at fodder price point and my MUN supporter friend for what it's worth thinks he will get a good amount of minutes this year. This GW is defo gonna be quite interesting though, my WC dilemmas are gonna be:

          - The best 4.5m DEF
          - Which Liverpool attack, if any - Slot rotations, Salah mins
          - Foden a viable pick?
          - Rashford a viable pick?
          - Brentford set-up without Wissa
          - Arsenal set-up without Odegaard
          - Best fodder picks

I like the Rashford punt. I'd probably want a Liverpool attacking asset but that's a niggling complaint. I'd go with the SOT 4.5 mid - Dibling (sp?) as opposed to Winks.

Delap and Solanke feels like desperation. Punts to make up rank quickly, rather than playing the long(er) game.

Just my humble (4M OR) opinion.

I don't think Solanke is a punt at all tbh. Spurs create loads of chances and he plays 90 mins every game. In fact I think he'll become one of the more reliable and popular forwards soon.

Spurs are crap though. Very unpredictable and getting worse each season. They were better off with Son as no 9

Iv got big plans. Have renewed vigour for the game this season. Possibly down to good start but I think the price structure has afforded some sort of freedom to play the game this season.

Yea. I think you can get like 2/3 cheapish players and rotate them around. Hopefully 2/3 work out. Good fixtures.

Just toying with a few things before the weekend, what are your thoughts?

    a. Gvardiol & Eze > Porro & L. Diaz for a -4

    b. Gvardiol > Porro for free

    Cheers

Palmer + Robinson > Mbeumo + TAA for free now or save 3 FTs for GW6? Already played WC.

    Raya
    Lewis, VdV, Faes
    Salah, Saka, Palmer, ESR, Rogers
    Haaland, Pedro

    (Fab, Konsa, Robinson, Jebb*)

Roll. Wouldn't sell Palmer just yet. Trent not worth his price. No attacking returns and cheaper Pool defenders had 3 CS points.
