I have Ben White, will he he start this weekend? As its an 'easy' fixture he may well be rested to get the rest he apparently needed this weekend.

Played the second half and has an entire week to rest assuming he won't be used in the cup midweek. Hold.

Can't see Timber being dropped after that performance yesterday (didn't see many talking about that monster tackle from behind on Doku) especially after Grealish turned White inside out after he went off.

Used 2FTs to get Gabriel and Mbeumo. 1FT remaining. Best option?

    A. Welbeck -> Havertz
    B. Salah Jota -> Saka Palmer (-4)
    C. Jota Welbeck -> Havertz Diaz (-4)

Yes. Verbruggen, Sanchez, Flekken are all decent imo.

But I'd only go for them if I'm not doubling on Arsenal defense and going Havertz up top along with Saka + Gabriel.

Ain't he xMins risk tho? Yeah main point still being if it's worth considering Havertz or Tross without Ode, Raya seems a safe bet as addition to Saka and Gab, you won't have such points guarantee with the other goalies.

Have had to push the WC button. Any glaring mistakes here please?

    Hendo
    TAA / Gabriel / Aina
    Diaz / Saka / Mbeumo / Rogers
    Watkins / Haaland / Wood

    Valdimarsson / ESR / Greaves / Faes

TAA + Saka could be Konsa + Salah.......

I wouldn't go for Hendo myself and Vald takes up a Brentford slot that might restrict you in future if you want Wissa + another. Personally I'd stick with Saka.

Depends who you would have instead. I’m waiting AT LEAST a week for Mbeumo but because I’m ok with holding Eze for now it need be. So c in isolation but always needs who you’d be replacing. For instance if selling a Liverpool defender for Gabriel I feel this could wait a week.

    WC thoughts? 0.8 ITB.

    Sanchez / Vladimarsson
    Gabriel / Robbo / Mazraoui / Lewis / Greaves
    Saka / ESR / Diaz / Mbeumo / Mcneil
    Haaland / Jackson / Wood

McNeil doesn't have to stay, but was looking for a 5.5 mf to fill the slot.

    1. The Iceman
      • 3 Years

Semenyo over McNeil. Also, try and use the extra funds to upgrade Robbo to TAA.

Less funds if I do that. Only 0.6 ITB w/ Semenyo. Robbo / Trent only 7 points apart and 1.1 apart in valuation. I simply can't afford him, unless I downgrade Gabriel to Timber.

Hi guys - two bits of guidance needed please...

    A) Who would you be getting rid of to bring in Gabriel - R Lewis or A Robinson?
    B) Is J Pedro to Jackson worth a hit? Yay or nay

    1. The Iceman
      • 3 Years
      1 year, 6 months ago

      A) If Rico Lewis plays he has a better chance of returning points as Fulham's fixtures - particularly defensively - turn a bit now

        A) Yeah I don't like Rico's minutes being at risk more now. Prefer seeing a guaranteed 90-minuter in my team. Plus Robinson still looking dangerous going forward imo
        B) Taking a hit this season seems so avoidable but looking in this case like it may pay dividends. Was never 100% happy with having Pedro if I'm honest. Cheers

Ok I confess... to my great shame, I have turned an eye in Man Utd's direction. Bit stumped on my defence still. Watched the whole game Saturday & they barely gave Palace a sniff. I'm just not sure whether to lay most of the blame there on Palace's (lack of) shape, or to credit Ugarte / De Ligt / Mazraoui with turning things around. The immediate fixtures are also a bit iffy, although I could rotate. Giving Onana/Dalot half a thought too

I spent all summer warning people, but I'm starting to trust the process too. We've looked surprisingly solid this season so far (besides the Liverpool game, but what chance have you got with your midfielders playing against you?)

Our attack still can't score for toffee, so can see a reliance on set-pieces and defensive stability this season, or until we get in a proper manager at least.

Don't think I've ever picked a defence like this before (usually more on the cheap attacking FBs like, currently, Davis/Robinson/Muñoz) but I could end up with a quadruble man mountain backline of Gabriel/Konate/De Ligt/Milenkovic

Dunno about "worth having" but Barnes, Maddison, Bowen, Savio, Kudus, Szoboszlai might be options

Pool 4 cs, got assist this weekend, goal v Milan m/week

Not as coverage for Trent but not bad in isolation, Pool defence is abit shaky at times tho

Just one of them who gets injured at the drop of the hat, so may have his minutes managed (especially on CL weeks) or end up missing games randomly

Assuming everyone is fit, which pair scores more?

    1) Palmer and João Pedro

    Which is preferable
    1. Rogers/Mcneil as 8th attacker & 3x rotating 4.0 defenders

    2. 4.5 mid and Lewis/4.5 as 3rd defender

      2 by far.

You can't rotate the 4.0 defenders to play one every week imo the pickings are too slim.

Lmaooo but what makes the 4.5 midfield picks in 2 more special than the 4.0 defenders in 1?

      1.

Defenders are pants if it ain’t an Arsenal or Liverpool defender may as well go super cheap. Last gw Greaves bagged 6 pts. I’m not sure Winks has done that.

You have 3 useless players in option 1 versus 1 useless player in option 2 - are there even 3 playing 4.0 defenders right now?

Greaves, Keane and Bednarek to name a few not ideal but means I can get Solanke now

Wow just realized Jackson has been actually producing good returns despite the wasteful narrative.

Nicolas Jackson has been involved in 26 goals in his last 32 Chelsea starts in all competitions

    18 goals 8 assists

    (Source: Transfermarkt)

Currently on my wildcard with a plan to move to Solanke in couple of gws time.

Anyone else jumping on the Jackswagon?

Since the beginning of May, Chelsea have won 8, drawn 1 and lost 1 (to Manchester City) of their last 10 PL games which coincides nicely with Jackson's 8 goals in that same period. I'm wildcarding and I'm very tempted to bring him in but I know that I'm just going to end up self-flagellating myself a couple of GWs later when he reverts to type.

He only scored 14 goals from 19 xG last season with 24(!) big chances missed - the narrative was there for a reason.

No Arsenal cover and a few like Mykoleno & Lavia I need to rid of, is it worth pulling the WC out? Only 1 FT and 1.4 ITB. My team isn't too badly setup for this week. Gvardiol has been frustrating to own.

    Flekken
    Gvadriol TAA Robinson
    Salah Rogers ESR Eze
    Watkins Haaland Pedro

    Vladi Lavia Greaves Mykolenko

    Currently undecided what to do!

      Gvadriol > Gabriel and/or Salah > Sake

      With that said
      Flekken - meh
TAA - not worth it imo
      Gvadriol - need Ars defense
Lavia Greaves Mykolenko - I'd only keep Greaves
