Is there a clear better option between
    A) Saka and Wood and
    B) Mbeumo and Watkins
Any views would be helpful - I have exact funds for both
or I could keep C) Palmer and Joao Pedro

I think I slightly prefer B as both are very good options, whereas Wood is kind of meh.

            B) is where I'm leaning on instinct but Saka is a very popular choice with LEI and SOU at home too

It's one of those "can't have them all" scenarios I'm afraid. At least one player we considered but didn't get is likely to haul.

Playing devil's advocate here for those on WC. If Raya is ruled out this weekend with a minor injury, would you keep or shift to a different keeper?

    Thoughts on my WC draft?

    Raya Fabianski

Think he should play most games now , some will be from the bench of course or even subbed early but Greaves will be enough cover if you are happy taking the risk

I have him and the same defence but Leif Davies instead of Greaves. I think a little more risk in your setup especially as we dont know how nailed VDB is. Can you not stretch to another 4.5 instead of a 4.0?

Looks good to me... would perhaps downgrade CHO to a 4.5 and upgrade VDB (perhaps to a Brentford def)

Forrest/Brentford/Ipswich can give a decent rotation to go along with TAA/Gabriel for 4.5/4.5/4

Looks great! Quite similar to my current draft.. which leads me to the issue of defence. In an ideal world I would try and upgrade Faes (maybe to Collins).

I'm a Chelsea fan and love Jackson as a player (I also try and avoid picking Chelsea players for superstitious reasons lol) but he might occasionally be rotated with Nkunku as a striker. He is the first choice but Maresca might occasionally change it up depending on opposition (+ Maresca seems very big on 'load management'). He is a good option though, I'm just playing devils advocate a bit.

Found this on FPL reddit from a Brentford fan regarding VDV which confirms your theory:

"brentford fan, he is not nailed and should be an avoid on a wc. he is nailed when we play 5atb, but we only do this against top teams when you wouldnt want to play him anyway. 4atb our cb partnership is collins and pinnock who are expected to continue together. vdb will get minutes at rb as roerslev is horrendous and hickey is injured, and might get minutes at cb as pinnock has been pretty poor to start the year, but is unlikely to start usually"

Typically yes, but I think Konsa and Konate have me covered for regulars and Leicester, Brentford, and Ipswich Def rotate well with each other for their fixtures? It's mainly the Jackson to Havertz I'm in a dilemma about.

Is a Liverpool defender essential if its not TAA? Can see them conceding in the next 4 games

    1. If you think that they are very much not essential

I m not even sure Taa is essential to be honest. You're right I think they ll concede in a few of these games

With the way TAA is playing, I think it will be important owning him, more so going forward. But he is still not essential imo.

I see a few drafts with Rogers on bench. Just wondering any points.owning him if to be put on the bench , may as well have a 4.5 mid? Just asking as not sure what to do myself:)

I guess the thought is that Rogers is the best fifth midfielder but in a 3-4-3 isn't ideal to be the fourth midfielder.I am thinking if it's worth it to rotate him with someone like Eze/Johnson in gameweeks 7,10,11,13.

I plan playing him this GW, bench next GW and then play him in Semenyo's tough fixtures. That's the plan, whether it works is another thing.

I'm going Haaland, Watkins and Havertz as I don't like any of the budget strikers. It's risky not having Salah, but maybe it'll work.

    Can only have 1 option.

    A) Palmer & Salah
    B) Saka & Palmer
    C) Salah & Saka

Is Leif Davis the best 4.5 def to own?

Since joining Ipswich Town in July 2022, Leif Davis has recorded more assists (33) than any other player across England's top four tiers.

In that time, he's also created the most chances (264) of any player across England's top four tiers.

He could be a budget trent by the looks of it

I haven't watched much of Ipswich. Has he looked any good in the matches so far this season?

Yes very attacking. Checkout last match highlights. Could've easily had a goal and assist

        Ipswich are no rollovers either.

GW 8 and 19 could be good. I prefer Greaves for 0.5 less though

Giving me stuart dallas , lundstrum, doughty vibes

      Dallas 4.5m - 8 goals 2 assists
      Doughty 4.5m - 2 goals 8 assists
      Lord Lundstrum 4.0m - 5 goals 4 assists

Sort from the best to the worst owning going forward

    1) Palmer
    2) Saka
    3) Mbeumo
    4) Diaz
    5) Salah

I find it hard to sort as so much different price brackets.

      I'd say 2 5 1 and 4 3

Saka over Salah is interesting. Also dont you think Mbeumo has a similar ceiling to the big boys? Diaz not sure coz of rotation issues

      5,2,1,3,4

Salah will be best for the year but Saka over the next 3 weeks
