    So

    B) Sanchez, Foden, solanke
    J) Raya, palmer, Pedro

    Have Gabriel
    Have Jackson

    1. Supersonic_
      2 years, 27 days ago

Not really keen on either tbf. Probably too soon for Foden. Could be an absolute blinder of a punt, but its likely to bite you big time.

Yeah he haunted me last year

In and out at all the wrong times
But two Chelsea attack over two city feels just ill judged

And the funds upgrade Pedro to solanke is a little tempting even if I don’t really rate solanke

Who would you go for with £21.6m for the 3 spots ?
(Had Raya and Pedro since start …. Palmer this week at 10.6)

In MF I have Saka Diaz ESR
In FW I have Haaland Jackson

        1. Supersonic_
          2 years, 27 days ago

Could you downgrade Raya to Flek, go Havertz to go semi differential (most are going double defence and Saka).

        2. Supersonic_
          2 years, 27 days ago

I've had a few whiskeys. My brain can't work out what is what haha. I know it sounds mad, but the more I think of it, I don't think Raya or at least double Ars is as critical as everyone is saying. Remember when Salah + Haaland was essential? That was short lived. Now, recent news about Raya removed. Could double Ars defence work, absolutely. But could it backfire and limit attacking potential, I think so. I can't get to him, as I don't want to mix up my midfield - but Maddy might be a tasty pick most aren't going wild about.

Raya and Jota making me have second thoughts lol, new draft:

    Flekken Fabianski
    TAA Gabriel Lewis Mykolenko Greaves
    Saka Jota Mbeumo Semenyo Rogers
    Haaland Havertz Solanke

...just don't like that benching headache near term

Nah, too no room unfortunately - hence Jota over Diaz. Could go Faes over Mykolenko I guess but I do fancy a solid 4th defender with Lewis and I think Everton will tighten up when Branthwaite is back...

Watkins is the biggest issue I think. Can't fit him in with a 3rd striker I actually want.

          • Fantasy Football Scout Member

It’s tricky. You’d start Solanke and Jackson pretty much every week, that’s one of their strengths. Watkins feels so explosive sometimes (and I do quite fancy an Evanilson punt) but maybe the simple philosophy of having plenty of good players from good teams is the way to go

        2. Sun Jihai
          • Fantasy Football Scout Member

Yeah, he's just a bit expensive - makes it tricky as I'd probably lose TAA:

          Flekken Fabianski
          Konate Gabriel Lewis Mykolenko Greaves
          Saka Diaz Mbeumo Semenyo Rogers
          Haaland Havertz Solanke

    3. Bushwhacker
      2 years, 27 days ago

I dropped Semenyo for the benching reason

I really like the Lewis pick, but I've been undecided about whether to go Jota over Diaz to release the funds to acquire him. I've also considered Maddison over the uncertainty of Liverpool midfield starters.

Benching headaches aren't a bad problem to have, it's good to have a stong team overall.

Your comments would be welcome on this wildcard team:

    Flekken
    TAA | Gabriel | Colwill
    Saka | Diaz | Mbeumo | Rogers
    Haaland | Solanke | Havertz

    Fabianski | Carvalho | Greaves | Faes

Don't like 2x 4 mil defenders to be honest.
And having Carvalho and Rogers doesn't give you a great rotation option.

Similar to mine and Sun Jihai’s above (and maybe some other early/mid-00s cult Premier League defender). Solid, well-rounded but I’m tempted to go Watkins and downgrade the other striker.

No FTs left and nothing itb. Just worried Saka could do real damage and wasn't that impressed with Palmer last week despite the goal.

Aye. Let's not joke. Some of this is a lottery and so knee jerk.

Let's remember, Palmer was essential until he wasn't, Salah was essential until he wasn't. Now it's Arsenal Defence.

FPL is mad. I had a horrific season last year chasing and making rash moves. S**t happens. I think ultimately you've got to just play your own game within reason.

I'm out here saying Raya out. Could get another 10 pter. Toss up init. But the more I think about it, double arsenal defence could pay off. But it might hurt if Arsenal win let's say 3-1 or 4-1 against Leicester which is very possible. I think they'll open up a little against lower teams. I think you need Arsenal defence cover don't get me wrong.

He'll be 2nd top points scorer this season, but I think for the next few you can probably score better cover with the extra money on other players, esp as you'll be (c)ing Haaland for the next 6 or so.

Would have to be two attackers then. As Saliba and Gabriel are both more expensive than Raya. They seem to be the two nailed defenders.

Set on four of my wildcard defenders: TAA, Gabriel, Lewis and Greaves. I’m sure many others are too.

The last slot is a tricky one.
    A) Konsa
    B) Milenkovic
    C) Mykolenko
    D) Someone else?

Konsa plays for the best team but they haven’t kept a clean sheet yet, while Forest have the best defensive numbers. But are those both down to Villa and Forest’s respective fixtures to start the season? Don’t have much faith in Everton but Mykolenko’s price drop and the fact he’s a full-back makes him a decent option

    1. 1966 was a great year for E…

I'm toying with the idea of Myko just to save some money to improve my front line slightly. They have decent fixtures coming and if they can find their defensive form from last season he could be good value. He'd only rotate for me anyway in same back line you have.

Yeah it's more relative to others

TAA - I've not owned him so far and feel pretty lucky to not have been punished
Diaz - LT might have to go but I think you want some LIV attack vs. WOL/CRY (Diaz/Jota/Salah)
Saka - I don't hate sacrificing him tbh, but he a very consistent scorer and now nailed on pens
Haaland - I don't think any debate here!

I'd so go for it man. And good luck! I wildcarded Salah out. Not going to lie. But it's a lottery I think Salah might Haul this week alone, so if you have a plan over the next couple of games to spread the funds. Do that.

The big question is where will Havertz play now that Trossard is also out

Martinelli and Sterling cover Trossard … who was never nailed anyway.

Trossard was banned in the cup tonight, he'll be available for next game unless injured.

Yeah that is a shout. I think he's still worth the punt. You'll just be raging with me if Arsenal get a pen

If Raya is out this week you are playing with 10

Those with Raya on wildcard...what you doing? Replacing him or taking a chance?
