Alongside FanTeam’s Regular Season and EPL Unlimited games are two weekly signature events – the Monster and Big Pick 6.

The latter is a similar sort of one-week selection to Fantasy Premier League (FPL) Challenge, except with a £2 entry fee and £10,000 prize pool that rewards the top 20% of managers.

Join the FanTeam fun: Big Pick 6

FanTeam: Prizes on offer in weekly Big Pick 6 game

From three selected top-flight meetings, you can pick any six players.

Throughout the day, these will gain points from goals, assists, clean sheets, saves and shots on target but could also lose some for cards, penalty misses and own goals. There’s also a punishment for stacking multiple defensive clean sheets from the same club.

Meanwhile, there is no budget and no positional restrictions. The only barrier is limiting yourself to a maximum of three players per team.

New Customer Offer

An even better reason to dive into the action is that new FanTeam customers will automatically receive £10 of contest tickets.

FanTeam: Big Pick 6 offers prizes for Gameweek 7

All you need to do is make a £10 minimum deposit and enter any cash competition. It’s a fantastic opportunity to explore what FanTeam has to offer and maybe even pocket some prizes.

Gameweek 7 picks

Sunday’s contest is super-easy to enter and is an additional way to enjoy the three chosen matches:

  • Chelsea v Nottingham Forest
  • Aston Villa v Manchester United
  • Brighton and Hove Albion v Tottenham Hotspur
FanTeam: Big Pick 6 offers prizes for Gameweek 7 1

Although the selection of three Spurs players suggests domination, their trip to Brighton could truly go either way. Surely with lots of goals.

No team has accumulated more big chances (26) or shots on target (43) than Ange Postecoglou’s lot, with Pedro Porro being the league’s leading defender for attempts (11).

Both he and Brennan Johnson could exploit the space behind the Seagulls’ attacking full-back Pervis Estupinan. Statistics have long suggested that the midfielder is worth owning, it’s not just about his back-to-back goals versus Brentford and Man United.

Last season, Johnson was the league’s second-biggest expected goals (xG) underachiever (-5.61) and he’s currently joint-second for penalty area touches (52). All 18 shots have taken place inside the box, too.

Team-mate Dominic Solanke is another to net in successive games. Despite only playing four of six occasions, he ranks joint-third for big chances (eight) alongside Nicolas Jackson, with Ollie Watkins (11) as number one.

Additionally, Jackson is joint-third for attempts on target (nine), though he’ll face a strong Nottingham Forest defence that has allowed the fewest of them (17) and recently pulled off a shock 1-0 win at Liverpool. But with Christopher Nkunku playing on Thursday night, Jackson should lead the line for a Chelsea team with 15 goals.

As for Watkins, it took until match four for him to open the floodgates, bagging four in his latest three. We saw against Bayern Munich that Villa fear no-one, especially not an under-pressure Erik ten Hag.

Last but not least, Cole Palmer. The hero and villain of many Gameweek 6 Fantasy managers, he scored a phenomenal four first-half goals last Saturday, showcasing his penalty and free-kick threats. He’s also created the second-most big chances (seven), helped by his Gameweek 2 hat-trick of assists. Palmer is the whole package.

I only own Salah, but I think it's stupid people have to on leaks to the starting lineups for the first fixture of the gameweek. It's absurd that the deadline is 90 minutes before kickoff when it could easily be 30 minutes.

Disadvantages for people who are in different time zones

      1. Feanor
        • 16 Years

Having to rely on leaks makes it more unfair for people outside local time zones. I would get up at 5:30am for an actual lineup. Not going to do it for leaks that may or may not be accurate or timely.

      2. DropkickMurphys
        • 4 Years

Absolutely. Unbelievable they aren’t changing the 90 minute rule. It’s almost like a regular feature of the game now.

Deadline should be hours before the game where leaks won’t happen or it should be kick off like Uefa or Euros fantasy.

    4. Bushwhacker

      Should be 12 hours.

Would you do Watkins to Havertz?
I think Arsenal could really get a big score tomorrow.
    Here is my current mids/fwds:
    Have 2 FTs

    Saka - Diaz - Mbuemo - Semenyo - Rogers
    Haaland - Watkins (Stewart)

    A) Watkins to Havertz
    B) Diaz & Stewart to Dibling & Havertz
    C) Watkins & Diaz to Solanke & Foden

Tough one...Completely agree Arsenal could hit 4+ but I see Havertz possibly getting 1 at best which Watkins could easily, maybe more judging on United last night. Maybe go B or save another FT.

Fulham are better defensively than expected this season. After a long trip away in Europe, Silva’s men could keep things tight at the Etihad.

I wouldn't captain Saka usually and especially not against Haaland who specializes in tearing down AVG teams at home

Saka has a very limited ceiling especially without odegaard and artets making a conscious effort to not overrun him

Feels like a season-defining decision here- would appreciate any input. I’ll end up doing something similar over the IB if I don’t do it now. Would you do this:

    Salah + Saka + Wood —-> Haaland + Mbuemo + McNeil

    Or

    Salah + Havertz + TAA —-> Haaland + Mbuemo + Mykolenko

The point is to captain Haaland. Otherwise I’ll just captain Palmer

Vitaliy Mykolenko is a major doubt for Everton's game against Newcastle due to a calf injury.

Reports in Ukrainian media have reported it'll keep him out for 2-3 weeks.

Got 1 FT and 2.7 ITB. If we get a leak tomorrow that Diaz is benched then I will take a -4 but who to get for Eze tonight before the price changes?

    A - Martinelli
    B - Tross
    C - Johnson

    Henderson
    Gabriel - Konsa - Robinson
    Eze - Diaz - Palmer - Mbuemo
    Haaland - Mateta - Wood

    Valdi - Winks - Myko - Mosquero

might as well go for a 4.5 fwd (or stewart) to upgrade Lewis or when you downgrade Havertz (I gues you can upgrade Flekken to Raya for sure, plus some more money ITB)

How might an FPL manager evaluate the performance of their FPL team over a given game week period?

The purpose would be to identify based on 1) number of players starting in the 11 (FPL team), 2) total cost spent on these players, 3) and the amount of points they achieved when starting or coming off the bench in the 11 (FPL team)… which of the 4 type of players (GK,Def,Mid,FWD) is underperforming.

Too often I see data being used to determine the performance of football players in FPL terms and by consequence as a decision-making tool, rather than using data to determine the performance of our teams to then determine which areas need priority before then focusing on which players to bring in themselves.

Essentially, are we missing a critical step in determining where we need to focus our FT’s on in the first place?

      * second paragraph. Should be number of players per position in the 11 (e.g., if you’re playing 3 defenders etc). Sorry!

You need a period of say 6 weeks to really see where things are going wrong. Even then there can be patience v cut losses issues, pride etc.

No Arsenal attack. Largely got away with it last week but bricking it this week.

Would you do Diaz to Saka for SOT, bou (and then maybe move to Foden) or stick with Diaz?

If it matters, I consider Southampton the whipping boys right now.

Saka is a captaincy candidate so yes, of course.

Actually considering captaining over Haaland. It’s that close in my evaluation of the 2 this week.

I’m pausing because I could get a step ahead with bringing Foden in now but seems overthinking.

Good time to upgrade your keeper.
ESR and Eze could be moved on too.
      Bring in some city cover

Looks pretty decent already. Eze to Johnson maybe?

Ideally I think I'd want to turn Porto into Gvardiol too

On a WC. Would you go for
    A) Salah + Johnson
    Or
    B) Palmer and Diaz

Mykolenko replacements..... I was going to leave it because I hate defensive transfers but even if he's not injured for long I don't like him if Branthwaite's also injured anyway. Other issue is my next in line is Robinson and that City away fixture isn't ideal and Villa at home after the break isn't much better. So thinking I'm better off fixing this now when I don't really want to hold long term.

I'm thinking its either Leif Davis or Rayan Ait Nouri. I don't think I'll be getting many cleans from either of them so this is purely from a some attacking threat POV and hoping for the best defensively. I think Davis has the better fixtures and he's on some of the set pieces and he's probably more solid for minutes but I think from an attacking perspective Wolves are much the better attack so its given me a dilemma. Wolves do have City in 8 so I've probably answered my own question here. Or do I just play Robinson and hope for the best?

Davis or RAN, are good, maybe getting both, (finishing off WC myself). I think RAN long term though

I've just seen RAN is on the suspension tightrope which swings it back to Davis for me.

Would you bring in Solanke or Havertz?

Havertz has probably the better next two fixtures but I do have Saka and no Spurs.

The transfer will be for Stewart (downgrading Diaz). I need a 90 minute man and Solanke and Havertz are that.

    Front 8 are:

    Saka - Diaz - Mbuemo - Semenyo - Rogers
    Haaland - Watkins - Stewart

Solanke long term, or Havertz if you want to book in a transfer. (btu both are great picks)
