The next round of Fantasy Premier League (FPL) is on the way, with the Gameweek 8 deadline at 11:00 BST on Saturday.

If you’re after some last-minute assistance, five-time top 1k finisher and Scout’s Deputy Editor, Tom Freeman, will be answering some of your questions over the next hour.

Team selection, transfers, captaincy: whatever’s on your mind, ask away.

Tom will be on hand to first reply to requests from Premium Members in the Hot Topic below the line of this piece and will get through as many as he can until the next article goes up. If there’s time, he will also turn his attention to other requests in the comments section.

If you’d like to receive an email notification letting you know when future RMT Surgery’s are live, you can now do so. When editing your profile, under ‘Alerts & Notifications‘, you’ll find a section on ‘Email Notifications‘. In there is an option for ‘Rate My Team Surgery‘, check that box and you will receive an email letting you know when the surgery is about to go live.

You can, as ever, chip in with your own opinions on the RMT requests filtering through – and naturally, you’re free to ignore the article subject matter and talk about any other wider FPL topics that you’d normally be musing on.

Don’t forget that, if it’s an algorithmic answer you’re after rather than an opinion-based one, we also have a ‘Rate My Team’ tool available in the Premium Members Area.

MU attack still shooting blanks, so no.

Rashford better pick if you wanna go there, imo (as in better finisher than Bruno).

Bruno has one good season i PL, in 20/21.
Rest of them are mediocre, he's not that good and not in a very good team

I think he would be a HOLD for me and not a BUY. Brentford at home is fine but United are not trustworthy to me.

Hi Tom, I would like to hear your opinion on my master plan. This is my team:
    Flakken/Bentley
    TAA/Lewis/Gabriel/Colwil/Greaves
    Diaz/Mbeumo/Saka/Rogers/Semenyo
    Wood/Haland/Havertz
3 transfers, no WC, 0.1 in bank
I will not change anything this GW. I'll keep Diaz against Chelsea, expecting him to get points against a weak Chelsea defense. It was tempting to switch him for Johnson and upgrade Wood to Solanke, but Wood has a good game in the next 3 GW.

For GW9 I'll probably go Havertz -> Solanke, Diaz -> Maddison.
After 3 good GW for Wood, I'll switch him for Cunha to jump in on Wolves good run.

I want to keep free transfers for GW12, where I want to bring Palmer for Madison by downgrading TAA for Brighton defender and pairing him with Collwil. Also, I'll try to double Arsenal's defense with Raya somehow, it's long-term planning, so I would have to wait to see how things will wrap up. If everything goes well, with no unexpected injuries, I should have 4 transfers for GW12

For Saka, this is his last good fixture of this run. Why not just sell him to avoid this injury drama? I have Palmer. Is Son safer than Foden? Is there someone else better besides Son or Foden to replace Saka?

have you got Watkins up front?
if not consider upgrading your fwd using Saka money.
I dont think I'm gonna sell Saka though. Last season I sold him and regretted it immediately after

I have Haaland, Wood, and Calvert-Lewin. They all have a good fixture. 3 FT. I don't want to sell Saka either but Arteta is annoying. Their fixtures get worse. They have UCL matches. If he misses Bournemouth then the next 3 fixtures for Arsenal are not great.

ChatGPT on Saka against these team last season:

Bukayo Saka had notable performances against Liverpool, Newcastle, and Chelsea during the 2022-2023 Premier League season.

          Against Liverpool:

Match 1 (Arsenal 3-2 Liverpool, October 9, 2022): Saka was instrumental in this home win, scoring two goals. His second was a decisive late penalty, securing all three points for Arsenal.
Match 2 (Liverpool 2-2 Arsenal, April 9, 2023): Saka did not score but was active on the wings. Despite a solid overall performance, he missed a key chance late in the game and struggled at times against Liverpool's pressing.
          Against Newcastle:

Match 1 (Arsenal 0-0 Newcastle, January 3, 2023): Saka was largely kept quiet by Newcastle’s resilient defense in this tight contest. He had difficulty breaking through against the well-organized Newcastle backline.
Match 2 (Newcastle 0-2 Arsenal, May 7, 2023): Saka had a more impactful game, assisting the team’s first goal with his creativity and dribbling causing problems for Newcastle’s defense.
          Against Chelsea:

Match 1 (Chelsea 0-1 Arsenal, November 6, 2022): Saka provided the assist for Gabriel's winning goal from a corner, helping Arsenal secure a hard-fought victory at Stamford Bridge.
Match 2 (Arsenal 3-1 Chelsea, May 2, 2023): Saka didn't get on the scoresheet but played well in Arsenal’s commanding win, contributing to their overall fluid attacking play.
Overall, Saka had strong performances against these top teams, especially against Liverpool at home and Chelsea in both matches.

right, I hear you. It's a reasonable take. I am just an FPL fixture player. I don't even like playing Palmer at Anfield, but I already have him and there is no decent replacement.

I used the TC for his hat trick earlier this season. I think you have to wait for Southampton now. Take no chances because a lot of other owners really used their TC successfully. It's just one more week to wait.
