If you’re a Fantasy Premier League (FPL) manager wanting to completely avoid Liverpool v Manchester City, whilst also owning the suspension of Antoine Semenyo (£5.7m), we’re here to help with a possible Gameweek 13 Free Hit.
While you can never be sure of FPL’s upcoming chaos, our Premium Members Area can help by via the Rate My Team (RMT) tool.
Here, we use its points projections to build this week’s ideal Free Hit squad. One that fits within a £100.0m budget, with no more than three players per club.
WHAT IS A FREE HIT?

Each FPL team is provided with numerous chips to use throughout the season. The Free Hit can be activated once, at the manager’s choice, allowing them to form a squad for one Gameweek only.

Afterwards, the squad will return to its regular line-up of players for the following Gameweek.
BEST GAMEWEEK 13 FREE HIT
Using RMT’s numbers and the brilliant PlanFPL website, the addition of four cheap substitutes gives the below squad a value of £99.7m.

The starting line-up has six players in common with our Gameweek 13 Scout Picks bus team.
Furthermore, Cole Palmer (£10.9m) is recommended as this week’s captain, taking the projected Free Hit score to 61.16 points.

GK: David Raya (£5.5m)
Managers possessing multiple Arsenal defenders finally received their overdue clean sheet last week, the Gunners’ first since Gameweek 4. Last season’s best backline next faces West Ham United, feeling confident from their win at Newcastle United.
DEF: Gabriel Magalhaes (£6.2m)
Although they’ll remember February’s equivalent meeting where Mikel Arteta’s side thrashed them 6-0 on their own turf. Gabriel scored in that match, claiming 12 points. He’s currently the defender with the most headed attempts (10) playing for a team that’s joint-second for set-piece goals (five).
DEF: Pedro Porro (£5.5m)
Whereas the best for overall attempts (20) is Porro, ranked joint-second in this position for chances created (20). He netted for the second time this season in Tottenham Hotspur’s remarkable 4-0 win at Man City and upcoming opponents Fulham had been in decent form before their own surprise result, losing 4-1 to visitors Wolverhampton Wanderers.
DEF: Pervis Estupinan (£5.0m)
Before that is a Friday night kick-off between Brighton and Hove Albion and last-placed Southampton.
Even though left-back Estupinan is yet to record an attacking return from six starts and three cameos, RMT has a long memory and remembers his strong start to 2023/24. One goal and three assists came in the first five matches before his hamstring injury.
As the Saints have scored the fewest goals (nine), Brighton also have good clean sheet prospects.
MID: Cole Palmer (£10.9m)
Moving into midfield, Palmer has four blanks in five but, in fairness, last Saturday he had a tap-in blocked on the line by team-mate Noni Madueke (£6.4m).
The algorithm backs him for captaincy against an Aston Villa that’ll be tired from hosting Juventus in midweek. Last season’s top FPL scorer now sits second for creating chances (32) and big chances (10), also coming fourth for attempts (38).
MID: Bruno Fernandes (£8.5m)
And the vice captain is Fernandes, who couldn’t deliver at Ipswich Town but hauled in his previous Old Trafford outing versus Leicester City. A goal and two assists that day for the league’s biggest expected goals (xG) underperformer (-2.16), though next opponents Everton have conceded just twice in their last six matches.
MID: Bukayo Saka (£10.2m)
Another to torment during Arsenal’s 6-0 win at West Ham was Saka, scoring twice. Last week’s goal and assist takes him to 12 attacking returns, though only three have occurred in away encounters. Still, with multiple routes to points, the 23-year-old continues to be a top FPL asset.
MID: Son Heung-min (£9.9m)
Meanwhile, Son has also preferred North London runouts. Until last week’s assist at Man City, all of his returns came with home comforts – where they’ll be playing on Sunday. An established Premier League goal scorer since 2016, he’s backed over cheaper colleague Brennan Johnson (£6.7m) because the Welshman was benched last week.
MID: Bryan Mbeumo (£7.9m)
Things have started to dry up for Mbeumo, as only one shot and 0.09 xG from his latest three matches will undoubtedly have owners thinking of a sale. However, they should wait until after Brentford host Leicester.
The Bees have the best home record of all 20 teams, where entertaining clashes average 4.83 goals per game. In fact, Mbeumo is the player with the most home points (60), thanks to seven goals in six.
FOR: Joao Pedro (£5.6m)
Tipped by RMT to be this week’s best forward is cheap Brighton star Joao Pedro. He’s on successive double-digit hauls – both involving a goal and assist – with the confidence of another coming versus Southampton. Another advantage to owning the Brazilian is that should take the Seagulls’ penalties.
FOR: Dominic Solanke (£7.6m)
Finally, rather than in-form Matheus Cunha (£7.0m) or Chris Wood (£6.6m) about to face Ipswich, RMT likes the unpredictable Solanke. A letdown when backed at home to the newly-promoted Tractor Boys, his previous Tottenham Hotspur Stadium showing was a second-half explosion of two goals and an assist against Aston Villa.
