What an utterly pointless chip. I’m willing to bet they spent ages trying to figure out what to do with this so-called mystery chip, only to realize they had no idea. So, instead of coming up with something meaningful, they just threw together this absurd, half-baked concept.

Why reveal it so late ?
It covers 3 of the remaining 14 gameweeks from 24
That leaves 11 gameweeks to play (if you still have them) BB TC FH & WC
I don't loke the chip for so many reasons
It should have been available from the start

I've slept on it now, let it sinked in and astonished this wasn't a bad dream, but an actual implementation.

People thinking they're smart arses by justifying it "as something different" and opposing the naysayers as "resistant to change".

This is looney and no amount of gaslighting will convince us otherwise.

So many ideas over the years, which they restrained from tinkering with, pricing done excellently and then this. Must have been on acid or lost the plot.

that is guff. This chip has nothing to do with FPL.

Limitless budget, 2 captains, more than 3 individual players from one club. There's an endless list of viable chips that would have nade things interesting/worth an experiment.

The whole idea of FPL is scouting an individual's capabilities.

Picking an actual club side for 3 gameweeks? It's so random I don't where to start

Nope, it arbitrarily affects players differently if for example they used an early BB or TC this season compared to those who planned to use them later. That's why rules need to be laid out before the season begins.

In the middle of this utter woke assistant manager chip or whatever, I have a real transfer question about Gabriel, rivals rocking with Saliba and I thought I'm clever getting Timber alongside Gabriel, but Gabriel nowhere to be seen.

What to do, 1FT 1.1m itb.

    A) Transfer to TAA?
    B) Hold Gabriel and transfer Maz to someone up to 5.7m (no idea who)
    C) Save transfer and reassess

Backline as it stands> Gabriel, Timber, Maz, Hall, Greaves..

I'll try to play one week at a time, can't be bothered to tinker ahead anymore with chips made for teenagers.

    1. cigan

    2. The Tonberry
      • 2 Years

I would upgrade Greaves to a 4.5ish defender of your choosing. He's a player you're never likely to start and with games, injuries, and rotations coming thick and fast, I think you would need more defensive options.

Plus it buys you a bit of time over Gabriel. I can also see Fulham and Spurs scoring in Liverpool's next two so I think getting a Liverpool defender in can wait for a couple of weeks.

  14. OverTinker

    Have 2 FT 1.9 itb
    Pickford
    Greaves Timber Ait Nouri
    Salah Saka Palme Mbeumo
    Jackson Cunha Pedro

    Fab - Rogers - Keane - Lewis*
What should I be doing here? Looking to replace Keane and Mbeumo/rogers

    1. The Tonberry
      • 2 Years
      1 year, 4 months ago

Definitely need to upgrade the defence as a priority. Ait Nouri's good fixtures are about to end and he's in the worst defence of the league, Lewis is always a rotation risk, Greaves and Keane are dead weight players you're never likely to want to start and you'll be forced to play them.

I would upgrade Keane or Greaves this week to someone with a good fixture this week.

It's normally around this time of year when City step up a level and go on winning streaks.

They do look really disjointed this season though. Tough call to make - if you think City will pick up results then it could be worth the gambit. Bowen is always a steady and consistent source of points but Foden is explosive if he plays

      1. patbateman
        • 3 Years

Exactly my thoughts. It’s a really hard one to call isn’t it.

Foden was a 1st round pick and Bowen 4th round pick in draft so seems like a good deal in that respect

How long is the bald fraud with hair Arteta going to deceive us? Imho, if Gabriel was out long-term, he would have said that. If I were to bet my money, I would say that Gabriel could be back in a game or two. I will probably keep him and hope he plays against Ipswich in gw18, but I have the luxury to WC him out in gw19. I just took a -12 which could backfire massively, but given the defenders being taken out there is a fair chance the replacements could at least break even.

Haaland, AWB, Faes, Semenyo all out for Isak, TAA, Saliba and Enzo.

Keep the faith with Haaland for much longer than I should have.

    Got a benching headache.

    My front eight is:

    Salah Saka Palmer Enzo Semenyo
    Jackson Pedro Cunha

I'm leaning towards benching Semenyo or maybe Enzo as have three Chelsea

    Any thoughts?

Tricky. I think they say bench whoever is cheapest when it's unclear, only to help justify any points left on the bench

it was all just bad dream. I dreamt the fpl "masterminds" concocted the stupidest chip of all time because they think the game is culturally relevant now and they need to do something blockbuster

Love how the mystery chip reveal is basically a version of my actual situation on fpl, where I am an ‘Assistant Manager’ of a second team - my mates 😆

    Amazing haha 😆
