With Dunk coming back how does Brighton's back four look? Is Van Hecke a secure starter?

I'm fairly sure it'll be Igor who makes way for Dunk.

Likely Igor if Dunk starts but he's still not in team training

Cheers, want to get one of them in for this round and the festive period, so Van Hecke seems the way to go for now, and I'll hope he doesn't loose his spot.

    Is this worth a -8?

I think there is a cognitive bias around Saka and his reliability as captain. Not sure where it stems from. Maybe because he's been in the league for so long and has played in a number of different positions where he's not as much of a fantasy threat. I hear often from content creators and other posters that they just don't 'feel' comfortable captaining him. The truth is, he's a true heavy hitter and his numbers reflect it.

He is 2nd in the league for shots in the box, 2nd for xG non-pen, has created the most big chances in the league (9). He took a pen last night with the full strength team out as well which cements him as the first choice taker.

He is every bit as captainable as Palmer or Salah or Haaland imo. And this week he will most likely have my armband. Arsenal looked really good vs Sporting with their full strength team. Odegaard being back helps so much and Saka is the biggest threat. They're playing West Ham who they beat 6-0 last season in this same fixture.

Palmer and Salah are good choices this week as well, but I think Saka has the highest ceiling since their opponents are the worst and Arsenal look the most cohesive team.

I want Saka in this week. Man City look shocking defensively and Salah at home for a statement win I think he's my (c) this week.

        32nd Nevuary - meanwhile Palmer's got 3, Salah's got 4 (surprisingly low) and Haaland's got 8.

i captained saka earlier in the season for his 16pts! Probably the one thing that helped my rank the most this season. (sadly i've gotten stuck on Haaland over Salah the last 5 weeks so have plummeted from that high point in wk 7 of 80k to 1.2mil!) Saka's got to be a good captaincy shout again 16 and 18 anyway.

Liverpool are by far the most cohesive team, hence being so far ahead. You could also argue that their opponents are the worst, considering the last game they won was before Halloween.

So with Gabriel coming off injured in the Champions League who is the best Arsenal defender to buy? Saliba, Timber?

    1. Tonyawesome69

Timber IF Gabriel is ruled out. Based on the info we have now, sounds very minor issue and should be fine imo

We wont know if Gabriel is out either way cause it's Arteta. Difficult to take the risk when he was subbed early due to an issue.

Yup cheaper and very good link up and overload on the Arsenal right side with Timber, Ode and Saka, similar to White last season season at RB. You may get the odd rest but the upside is there

Ballers and Shot callers is this the right plan?:

    Current Team

    Flekken
    Ait-Nori, Pinnock, Davis
    Johnson*, Mbeumo, (S)alah, Bruno
    Solanke, Haaland, Cunha

    Fabs, Rogers*, Mylenko, Lewis

    A) Bring in Pedro and Palmer for Haaland and Rogers and Play Palmer over Johnson.
    B) Just Pedro to Haaland for this week and play Johnson against FUL at home (aware he was benched at city)
    C) and I dont see this as a necessary option this week A + bring in Saka for Johnson for -8 and drop one of my 7 attackers.

    TIA

FPLReview projections assuming everyone plays 90:
      Palmer 6,6
      Mbeumo 6,6
      Salah 6,0
      Saka 6,0
      Pedro 6,0

Joao Pedro played 81', 90', 90' when fit, at the beginning of the season.
25' vs City, followed by 2 weeks rest during the IB and was taken off at 64', 2-0 up, 5 minutes after Baleba got sent off.
Personally, I don't believe that Pedro is a 60-70 minutes player as some suggest, but could be wrong.

How did Isak look on Monday ? Would you go him or Jackson ?

    1. Captain Mal
      • 1 Year
      1 year, 4 months ago

Newcastle struggle creatively, yet he missed a couple of good chances, scored a goal that was just offside, should have scored from a - clear in my opinion - penalty that was never awarded.
I am not that interested in Jackson because I think he will miss the Southampton game plus I already have Palmer.
      I'd go with Isak.

    2. Tonyawesome69
      • 7 Years

      Isak did fine:
      - 6 shots, 5 inside the box
      - 0.71xG, higher than GW10 and 11 when he scored
      - goal ruled offside

Is it time to prioritise gametime/nailedness and saving transfers?

For example, I am considering watkins>cunha this week, but that's a transfer used up removing a

Same as every week, really: What is "the" Q&A and where can I find it? I don't understand why this is a HT without this basic information. Why assume everyone reading this would know? Very strange.

Why doesn't anyone ask a proper question in these threads?

Short term how do you rank Cunha, Jackson and Isak?

      Say till boxing-day ish.

In answer to your first question, people can ask questions at any time on here and get a range of answers quickly, rather than having to wait to see if you "make the cut" then just get one answer from someone with no more credentials/knowledge than the majority of people on here.

      Is Haaland the ultimate differential?

Is it viable to go four-ium with Haaland, Salah, Palmer and Saka?

Assuming that you can't have all 4, do Haaland, Salah, Palmer or Saka have any teammates who can cover them? Can Jackson cover Palmer; can Havertz cover Saka?

115 wins, draws and losses in 7 games.

Something fishy there. No wonder they won most things recently.

The upshot of this article is don't take any risks anywhere basically? I only want 90 minute men out of the cups, not in europe, 1 or 2 yellow cards. And I need 15 of them. Sounds fun.

And how is a player nearing a ban and missing a single match an issue if you have a squad of 15 to get you through until the new year.
