I did B, but it's a luxury transfer. It's just that I like Trent's attacking potential more than Liverpool's clean sheet prospects and the price difference is reasonable. If you don't like how Brighton look today, C is a viable move as well.

I think we're almost at the stage where there are no bad fixtures for an attacking player, clearly there are better fixtures but no bad ones imo. Liverpool and City very fortunate to keep cleans yesterday and not concede a few. As always the only exception is a fixture against Everton's toothless attack which somehow City conceded against.

I don't like to start my attackers against Arsenal, barring Salah. But wouldn't give him armband in that fixture.

I figured there was nothing between him and Sarr so went with the cheaper one. Not sure I'd do that now.

I think Chelsea, with only 3 CS this season, is a nice fixture for an attacker. Go for it. I went with Sarr though.

Certainly a good pick but so is Sarr, so depends what you do with the extra dosh.

Solanke may have them now. Son doesn't get more than 60 minutes, so Solanke has at least 30 minutes to get pens anyway.

I haven't seen it yet but I'm guessing its another case of FPL towers making it up as they go along. So much inconsistency on assists this season. Either go to official assists awarded by opta (they won't because it'll knock so many assists off and lead to lower scores) or make it whoever had the last touch before the goal scorer for an attacking side is the assister. Don't care about intentions which FPL cannot possibly know but think they do somehow.

Opta have actually given this one in fairness to FPL. Normally they dont give one and FPL just interject with an opinion about intent anyway to add some points to the game.

Yeah, atrocious call to give an assist for that.

      No shot taken.
      Intercepted by Diop.
Potential red card for endangering an opponent as he puts 6 studs into Diop's ankle.

One of the worst 'assist' decision I've seen.

Taken too many punts and ending up in a bit of a pickle

    Flekken
    Gabriel Timber Robinson Lewis
    Salah Palmer Jota Sarr
    Isak Watkins

    Verbruggen Konsa Pedro Amad
    1.7m 1ft

You say you took too many punts (which is slightly harsh to be fair, I would count only Jota and Watkins as overly ambitious/leap of faith picks), but none of the suggested transfers offer any solution to that. I'd either roll or do Jota to a safer pick (Gordon probably better than Bruno/Mbeumo/Bowen right now).

    GW 30 - WC
GW 31-33 - Assistant Manger to get a double

I never understand free hits in blank GWs. You are limiting yourself to so few games and often ones with 1-1s written all over them.

On a DGW, 100 points from one is usually par.

        • Fantasy Football Scout Member

You are but FH in blank also allows you to keep your preferred starters for the GWs around when the chip is used. So needs to be viewed over a longer period than just the GW when FH is played.

In relation to other teams who may say have 4 or 5 starters with no FH played, the gain over them possibly greater than having 4 or 5 more doublers in a DGW when the SGW players could still perform?

      3. Captain Mal
        • 1 Year

If you free hit in a double
        a) when do you use bench boost, triple captain and assistant manager chip?
        b) what do you with blanks?

Watched Palace vs Southampton yesterday... as a 2 GW owner of Sarr, I have no idea how he hauled before I got him. Never gets in good positions, or at least not with the ball and they attack so "timidly" it feels like, I don't know how to explain it, but it rarely feels like they will score. Ezes goal was a potshot from outside the box, ball just fell kindly for him. But neither Mateta, Sarr or Eze where any dangerous, all failed the eye test at least.

There are ways to shoot yourself at the leg. Even when chasing, you should think about the likely outcome and think twice. Did you learn your lesson?

The problem with captaining Haaland - or anyone for that matter - is that you need him to score a couple of goals, which might happen at some point, but you also need Salah to stay quiet, which seems out of question right now.

In 1985 DanSmith I used to be paid $20 a game to play football, but only if we won. Tis a true story.

Is it too much to ask for Palmer to match Salah's GW points tonight??

      No, no it isn’t.

Not impossible, it will depend on Chelsea's lineup, too.

As i put C on Salah and my mini league opponent put it on Palmer, I expect another 4 goals for Palmer tonight

I hope not. I get 42 points from my captain last night - and a red arrow. Palmer skippers smashing me will be too much!

How much use does anyone make of the fixture difficulty on the fpl site? According to that Liverpool have harder fixtures away to Spurs Villa and Brentford than they do against second placed Forest.

Or is this just continued belief that Forest aren't really that good?

I take very little notice of it. Seems like it's calculated on what teams did last season, not what they are doing now.

I doubt it’s been updated for centuries!

Very little. It takes little account of recent form, or home v away. I play 'Rogers for Villa at home fixtures and bench him for aways - I don't get that from the ticker.

Jota will be eased in because he hasn't been able to train. There is also competition, said Slot.
