Surprised Opta have given Semenyo the assist. Doesn't look like he got the last tough but maybe another angle proves he did.

Inconsistencies with assist and price changes are unfortunately common.

The assist was given by Opta which FPL automatically follows. If no assist was given by Opta, FPL would have to check the fantasy assist rules

"If an opposing player deflects the ball after the final pass before a goal is scored, significantly altering the intended destination of the ball, then no assist in Fantasy is awarded. Should an unforced defensive error lead to the goalscoring opportunity, then no Fantasy assist will be awarded. If the goal scorer loses and then regains possession, then no assist is awarded."

In other words it shouldn't be an assist according to the FPL assist rules

They must have seen a last touch from Semenyo.

It looks unlikely from the clips I've seen but they have many different angles we can't see.

This is from when the ball takes a different direction. Pretty clear that Diop is the last one who touches it. Check Semenyos right leg.

    Speaking of Munoz....
Munoz had 7 penalty box touches in the game. The most of any player -- the same number as Sarr and 2 more than Mateta. TAA by comparison has ZERO penalty box touches. I'm sure Munoz will get attacking returns but it will more likely be fantasy assists from deflected shots as he can't hit a barn door.

      I sold last week.

He's started four of the last five I think but regularly gets taken off early, which is annoying.

I guess two starts from Ipswich, West Ham and Leicester is reasonable, but it's impossible to know which ones.

    Raya / Zych
    TAA, Gabriel, Robinson, Lewis(*), Muñoz
    Salah, Palmer, Diaz, Rogers, Enzo
    Isak, Solanke(*), Jesus(*)

2.2 mitb, 1 ft, nice benching headache every week. No idea what to do, so perhaps now is the time to try to cumulate transfers. Whu looked terrible, but can't get Haaland now. Foden might be nice punt, but selling Diaz or taking a hit doesn't feel like the right thing to do atm.

Sorry for the post, life is just dull now (flu, tired) and I don't know what I should be planning in fpl.

Also struggling with illness so sympathies there, its not much fun especially at this time of year. Sometimes in this game it feels like we should always be active doing something, anything to make the team slightly better (on paper). It'll be hard but amongst my resolutions I'll be trying to sit on my hands more, correct obvious fires but trying to be less smart arse with other aspects. Team looks fine btw, nothing obvious to change.

Yes, no plans to sell a good player for another one atm. I'll just try to save some transfers now and plan to avoid hits in the future.

It's too early to make any chip plans, but I think TC Salah is the first priority on supposed dgw24. He might lose his form during Ramadan or get injured for example. AssMan chip would be nice on dgw also, but TC is bigger priority imo.

I've had NF triple up for a while now but slightly gutted that Murillo was out the last GW, missed NF's CS. Would you make a sideways transfer to Aina or Milenk for this GW?

As I type this out I know the answer is save it and wait for the game against Liverpool before making a decision. But I expect Aina and Milenk price to have risen a bit. What do you guys think?

I went for Havertz, fixture play but it was a bit meh as a decision, probably won't work out. Wood probably the safest. Gakpo could be fun. Not really feeling Raul or Mateta even with the fixtures. They all feel like upgrades on JP until Welbeck is back at least.

Wood or Gakpo on this one. With Champs lge rtn and FA/Lge cup ties, the Liverpool assets may be more prone to rotation.

Got the same decision to make. I like Gakpo as a pick and would be all over it if Jota stubbed his to badly.

Same boat as you over 100pts behind and have WC this week to.
Fairly similar to mine in some ways.
      Pickford, Sels
      Robinson,Aina, Hall, Gabs, Munoz
      Salah,Palmer , Murphy, Iwobi,Diaz
      Wood, Isak,Raul.

Team looks decent get rid of Digne maybe to a Liverpool or Crystal Palace defender.

You are already playing your 2nd WC(?) Not 100% sold on Elanga and Gordon, but they aren't bad picks.

Elanga playing his best football at the moment and everything seems to be turning to gold so not a bad punt .

Probably not haha, Gvardial 4 goals this season, West Ham at home next then Ipswich in a couple of week and will re assess , can use him as a cash cow to gain 2 million easily too if need be

Have you played your BB? If WCing now with a full playing squad, maybe consider setting it up in a week or two since the DGWs are so far off...? 22 might work if you change Digne - Robinson

    Flekken
    Lewis, Aina, Van Dijk
    Gordon, Palmer, Salah, Diaz

How does this team look, bench order okay?

Roll Transfer or jump on to Diaz/Gordon/Gakpo/Wood?

    Raya/Fab
    TAA/Gab/Robbo/Aina/Hall
    Salah/Palmer/Mbeumo/Rogers/Enzo
    Isak/Cunha/Wissa

Need to move on one of the Brentford lads after Soton (a) - any suggestions?

Team and bench order ok? Feels weird benching Marti but BRI away isn't easy and I fear Munoz is due points soon.

    Allison
    Gabriel - Timber - Castagne - Munoz
    Salah (c) - Palmer - Sarr
    Isak - Jackson - Raul

    Dubravka - Martinelli - Amad - O'Shea

    1. The Mentaculus
      • 4 Years

Against Chelsea? I'd bench him for Martinelli. Been watching a fair bit of Brighton and they're not in a good place defensively, should have conceded more at West Ham

Thanks for the intel on BRI. I'd be tempted to bench Castagne if IPS weren't so goal shy. Something may happen in the remaining GW19 games which forces my hand.

What to do here? 2FT 0ITB. Have exact cash to do A so thinking of doing that tonight if Gordon comes through okay. If Timber gets another yellow maybe B?

    Pickford
    TAA Robinson Timber
    Palmer Salah Enzo Jota
    Jackson Jesus Isak

    Fab Bowen Mazraoui VDB

    A) Bowen and Jesus to Gordon and Wood
    B) Jesus and Mazraoui to Wood and Milenkovic
    C) Bowen to Gordon
    D) Something else

The guy blanks in 3 games vs Brentford, Spurs & Villa, but gets 12 points vs Everton and now he’s a great pick?

True - he's one point off Saka tho and for £6.6m he's an easy set & forget pick. Points seem to keep finding him.
