    A couple of tricky choices:

    Solanke or Wood?
    Digne or Porro?

Digne should never be started. He should come with an health warning

Digne former club. Second lowest scorers in the division.

This is his last game for me! Let's see if he can go out in double-figure glory!

I'm on him. Dont see any gamble personally. Playing in team with currently best attacking form, great fixture, personally in good form himself, in a week where captain isnt obvious and may even be on pens with Isak being a risk.

There's one maybe, isn't there? Penalties?

Newcastle are undoubtedly in great form, against a weaker team, and Gordon is in superb form.

Hinging the decision on Isak “maybe” not playing and Newcastle “maybe” getting a pen and Gordon “maybe” taking it?

      2. confused01
        • 16 Years
        1 year, 2 months ago

Yep I feel like he's being overlooked. In a week where a differential could do well surprised he's not up there. If Isak doesn't play he'll play up top with pens, fixture is good and Gordon's form usually strong at home

or to put another way, pick two out of Wood (LIV), Pedro (ips) and Rogers (eve). I'm on Wood and Rogers at the moment - worried about a Pedro 1 pointer after his injury.

    Henderson
    TAA Munoz Hall
    Salah Palmer Diaz Mbeumo

I prefer the Newcastle fixture this week tbf.

        Both are good picks.

Gordon has great fixtures for the next 3/4 games. I'd be getting him in then moving on to Diaz/Jota for the DGW based on who is playing/in form at that point.

It's just the transfers and 8 need to find room for Konate soon.

Maybe hold Diaz and downgrade Martenelli to Rogers is better.

    4. Yordan Letchkov
      • 9 Years

Same here. It's a bit of a dilemma between the likes of Gordon and a second LIV attacking option for the next few GW's, as I also don't necessarily want to get rid of my other MF players (Salah, Palmer, Mbeumo, Rogers)... I think I'm keeping for this GW and re-asses later.

Yeah, it's even more complex because I'm probably benching him as well this week.

If I got a Gordon I'd be benching Pedro or Martenelli.

This has to be a wind up.

Team looks good so absolutely not to a WC.

If you have used any free transfers then I would leave. If not and you really must do something then maybe Davis out to fodder to raise money but the starting 11 is more then fine!

I'm very much looking forward to the NFO vs LIV match tonight. It's such an interesting precondition with two teams who had a very stable tactical order across the whole season so far. Will NFO try to go for the win at home or let Liverpool dictate? If they're believing to be able to compete for the title, then they should maybe go all in tonight, no? It is a totally different situation as before the match in the first leg when nobody expected NFO to end up in such a comfortable rank in GW20. I believe that they can stay in the top 6 by sticking to their game plan and continue with their current tactical template, but if they want to trigger the miracle, then it is about to try to beat the biggest opponent at home tonight. Could be many goals also.

To be honest I think your read is way off. Even Champions League qualification would be an enormous achievement; I don't think they're seriously considering the title.

They've got themselves into this position with their particular style of play but they don't have the players to just cut loose and try to win a high-scoring end-to-end contest with Liverpool. That would just be suicidal

@THE MENTACULUS: I would never ever bet anything on NFO to win the title and agree, that it would even be a big achievement for them to qualify for any European competition. But for them it is now totally about to keep the momentum and try to catch the wave as long as possible. They already proofed that they make life hard for any team they play against and they somehow won more matches than expected with their style of play, but tonight I'd expect Nuno to want the home win and trigger even more enthusiasm in the team and the club. They've nothing to lose.
