      Or Moyes!

      Cheap.

Liverpool have 3 x away games and a home game against a defensive Wolves team. Not plum fixtures imho.

Everton could maybe nick a dirty draw vs. Liverpool for the underdog bonus, with three other winnable (in theory) games.

Rather lose an Everton slot than a Liverpool one.

Obviously depends on how Everton fare between now and then, but I think there's upside to be had there. Be even better if Man U could somehow put 5 places between them and Everton for some added bonus potential.

If I have my assistant manager chip active between GWs 22 and 24, I assume I will not be able to use my triple captain chip. Is that correct?

Would it be then beneficial to get Slot in for GWs 21-23 and then triple captain Salah for 24?

    Their schedule:

    21: NOT (A)
    22: BRE (A)
    23: IPS (H)
    24: BOU (A), EVE (A)

Favorable on paper, but also 4 away games in 5. Surely to present a bump in the road. Thoughts?

I have 1.6m ITB so can get Slot, but then can't get VvD or anyone so would have to go with Salah(c) and Slot. My daughter has Salah, VvD and Allison but not a bean of money so may well Salah(TC). Different strategies.

Worth noting the Everton and Liverpool fixture is still subject to Liverpool finishing top 8 in the CL group stage.

They only need 1 point in the next 2 games to go straight to R16 over knockout play-off.

Looking for some advice on what to do with my team for Gameweek 21.
    Starting XI:
    GK: Raya (TOT H)
DEF: Konsa (EVE A), Robertson (NFO A), Livramento (WOL H)
MID: Martinelli (TOT H), Mbeumo (MCI H), Palmer (BOU H), Salah (NFO A) (Vice-Captain)
FWD: Delap (BHA H), N. Jackson (BOU H), Isak (WOL H) (Captain)

    Bench:
    GK: Iversen (CRY H)
    DEF: Aït-Nouri (NEW A), Milenković (LIV H)
    MID: Winks (CRY H)

I have 1 free transfer and £0.5m in the bank.
thinking of Martinelli > Gordon. Also considering a wildcard.

What's better to use in GW24:

    A) Triple captain - Salah
    B) Assistant Manager chip - Slot

    1. x.jim.x
      • 11 Years
      1 year, 2 months ago

Assuming Liverpool win every game 2-1, that would net 32 points from the chip. Salah would have to score 16 points across 2 games to match that, which I don't think is beyond the realms of possibility (basically a goal in each game).

I think the AM chip is capable of yielding much more, especially with the 'underdog' bonus up for grabs, and some good teams mid-table or lower (United, Spurs, Wolves, Brentford).

Haven't really thought about it that much though.

      1. GreennRed
        • 14 Years

You could go Slot for GW24 then swap managers for 25 and 26 for underdog managers playing teams 5 or more places above them.

    2. Haa-lala-land
      • 5 Years
      1 year, 2 months ago

AM is better used, I think, stretched over the doubles that are around 34, and using a FT to ensure you move to a manager who doubles each time, getting you potentially 5 to 6 assman games

      1. WVA
        • 9 Years
        1 year, 2 months ago

I’m not sure this is doable with the doubles being 33 and 36

        1. Haa-lala-land
          • 5 Years
          1 year, 2 months ago

True. It would require a double appearing in 35. Somehow.

    3. Haa-lala-land
      • 5 Years

Also, Liverpool are away to Man City in 26 ( the third and final game week of the chips use) which they could very much lose

      1. WVA
        • 9 Years
        1 year, 2 months ago

I’m guessing most would move managers for that

  19. Tonyawesome69

With EFL and FA cup fixtures inbetween the two league games, feels safer to go with Alisson, Konate or VVD as the 2nd/3rd Liverpool over the likes of Diaz/Jota (no AM chip). Gakpo could be an option to consider but I would wait to see the landscape in DGW24.

I must admit I'm not seeing much upside in Everton. If it wasnt a double you wouldn't be targetting Leicester game in isolation. The Liverpool game is not great. Could be 2 + 2 for most of their assets at best if Leicester do score. Plus you will not want to own more than one defender from them after the double. Booking yourself in for some transfers basically both ends of the double

The chip uses chart in the article states Wild Card usage at 53.74%, surely more than half the game can't have used the second WC already (it's doubtful that many are still playing).
