Playing this game if you are 800k or worse at this point in the season makes no sense unless you are a masochist or a no life content creator. Flipping a coin for 4 more months hoping that your picks get lucky for the irrelevant upside of finishing 50k at best, and if they don't, through no fault of your own, the entire game is just pure torture.

    See you next season.

It has been a grueling season for many players this time around. I honestly think it has been one of the best. Only in the last few weeks have we all been saying that Salah is a set-and-forget option. Then this week comes along and he blanks, causing a huge split in points for those who did or didn't captain him.

I had a good week in a bad season, but still find myself scoring very well amongst my peers in the mini-leagues. Being in 220,000th spot at this point in the season is usually not great news. I wonder whether some of the people higher than me are still not very experienced and will come undone when the BWs and DGWs start.

Are you 50/50 on Salah/Palmer for (c)? Struggling to decide on this one.

Should I consider Wood (h) to Southampton or owning is enough?

    1. Dutchy FPL
      • 2 Years
      10 months, 22 days ago

I'm going Salah. Insane away record. Could have scored one or two against Forest and we would not have this discussion. Wood is a typical one goal player plus some bonus, likely to score between 6-9 points. So owning is enough imo, others are better captaincy options

    2. Silecro

Really depends on your ML/OR state. If you are fairly satisfied with both, Salah is the way, he will not blank two in a row

Sadly you missed the Amad hat-trick so you don’t need to immediately get him. The fixture is primed for Wood and you would be equally as frustrated if you ignore another player versus Southampton.

Amad is a really good option but honestly as a United fan I was fairly hopeless on 80 mins. No idea how we came back into it, but a lot has to be said about the Southampton defence and mindset. He will be confident at the weekend and I'd back him to return again, but maybe just 6-7 points.

This week it’s between benching Mbeumo or Hall, currently on Hall as I think Bournemouth will score..

I own both and currently starting both but my team is not set yet. Hall and Newcastle have been exceptional although I agree with you and think Bournemouth with the way they play and attacking options they have they can get a goal. Mbeumo at home is a different animal and the ceiling is much higher than Hall.

    Morning all,

I am leading my mini league and sitting pretty well at OR, so I'll definitely play conservative this upcoming week. Should I roll ft here?

    Sels
    Gabriel, Robinson, Hall
    Salah(c), Palmer, Gordon, Amad
    Isak, Wood, Wissa

    Fabianski, Martinelli, Mazraoui, Lewis
    2.9 itb, 2ft

A lot of dross on the bench, I know, but I think they can wait another week and reasses after that

A bit lost here. A few weeks ago I decided against Wood (because he takes 1 or 2 shots per game, surely he can't keep scoring) and Gordon (because he will blank in GW29) but they have been doing lots of damage in the meantime. This time I got ridiculously lucky (Robinson/Amad/Semenyo/Captain Palmer) but should I correct my mistake and buy them anyway? I have 3 free transfers and 3.3 in the bank.

I would strongly consider Murillo and even Neco Williams as cheaper assets. Milenkovic scored only 5 FPL points more than Murillo. Williams points per start is 4,3 and you will save 1M over Aina. No bad choices here imo, depends on the rest of your team
