Really in a dilemma and I have 20 mins, need to make a transfer so that I can use AM chip:

    A) wissa to ndiaye (this gives exactly 1.5m itb)
    B) Gordon to Rogers or Kliuvert

    Thanks for your help guys

I got Kluivert and Mbeumo on an exact money pair of transfers and Kluivert is a good option for the 10 weeks from GW25.

Whereas Gordon has 3 tough fixtures to follow and may not play in GW29.

Makes sense. Another option would be to not touch Gordon and do Amad to Dango. But will then bench dango this week

That may work as well. Though Dango may become less interesting if Bournemouth get a striker before transfer deadline. But would still be a good 8th attacker

I'm curious though, do you think Ndiaye outscores wissa and does the former loom better attacking wise? Never had a chance to watch both their games

Interesting that even with a factor of 1.5x in transfers, Pickford and TAA still haven’t risen !

In a big DGW, a combination of higher multiplier and WC in play could mean minimal to no price rises

    Fabianski
    TAA Gabriel Robinson
    Salah Gordon Palmer Rogers
    Isak Gakpo Wood

    Flekken Munoz Enzo Faes

3 FTs 0.5 ITB. What should I do here?
    A) Flekken + Enzo > Pickford + Winks / fodder (leaving 0.3 ITB and no way to play AM chip)
    B) Fabianski + Gordon > Pickford + Kluivert (leaving 1.3 ITB)
    C) Flekken + Gordon > Pickford + Kluivert (leaving 1.7 ITB)

I’m not set on the AM chip yet though don’t know when else to play it. Also it would be nice to get rid of Enzo who continues to fall and go for a specialist bench fodder. But Gordon allows funds…
    Anything else?

Sounds decent, the Moyes part is a bit meh possibly and lack of table bonus so mainly relying on lots of goals.

Initially thought you meant AI, as in artificial intelligence, picking two high scoring managers after Moyes.

Definitely wouldn't bother with that - the Hub AI team is in the mud.

Can anyone clarify the financial situation with the AM chip in the event of a transfer?
If you chose Iraola for one week you would pay 1.1m, if you then want to transfer to Slot @1.5m do you need to pay 2.6m in total, or would you just pay 0.4m extra? I know it will cost a free transfer and that the money is refunded after the chip is finished, which suggests to me you would need the 2.6m.

I don't know, but I have the chip activated on Moyes, 0.6 left itb, if I want to transfer in Slot it says I'm 0.4 short, it will also cost me -4pts since all of my FT's are used up, so its just like regular transfers but with managers

Nah Emery probably, I can see Villa scoring a few past Ipswich, then Iraola for 26, but if Moyes is a success and I'm feeling brave I might go for Silva against Forest to chase that table bonus, let's see how this week goes first though

The teams blanking in GW29 will be the ones doubling in Gameweek 33, so if Newcastle United reach the Carabao Cup final then Newcastle United & Crystal Palace will blank in GW29 & most likely double in gameweek 33.
      https://allaboutfpl.com/2025/01/upcoming-fpl-double-blank-gameweeks-24-25-fpl-season/
So we will know before GW25.

Except maybe some of the Carabao Cup finalists might not blank in 29.
I believe if say Liverpool get through and both them and Villa are out of the FACup also this means the fixture could still happen in 29 as a midweek slot then is free.
TLDR: we can only make guesses and therefore saving transfers is wise.

That doesn't factor in the timing of other chips. This time of year, 3 weeks is a long time to go without using some of the other chips. This 3 weeks may not be ideal, I agree with that, but it also may be the best period when juggling other chips. Not as simple as it looks in a vacuum.

I also agree with this... if you want to use it in that time of the blank in GW29 (Palace have some nice fixtures with possible table bonus), then you'll need a very solid team. Do you think there's a situation emerging where we are being forced to use TC (if not used)or AM this week though?

I am really giving serious thought to the assistant manager chip on Bournemouth for this week. I think people bringing in Moyes forget he is still the manager of Everton and they are shite, DGW or not. They can’t score goals. Bournemouth are in good form and play Liverpool, who may have to rotate because of the cup games and the having to give at least equal weighting in priority to the derby. Then Southampton and Wolves, which should be high scoring. Thoughts?

I personally think it will be better saved for towards the end of the season, although B are off the back of a big win Liverpool could easily get a result - each to their own though. TC salah or no chip for me

It’s such an unpredictable chip - I like the form of Everton and Bournemouth and the appeal of getting it over with. End of the season results could be all over the place.

More moving parts at the end of the season and you’d want to use BB, FH, WC and TC and there are not enough game weeks to use all of them

It’s not the worst idea.the nice part about Everton is the dgw and a chance to get something out of the Liverpool game. If they do - it could be a nice score and the hope is a baseline of 6-8 points.

I think that Bournemouth have a better chance of getting something out of the match than Everton. So you’d do the DGW with Everton and then Bournemouth for the following two weeks? I don’t like the idea of chopping and changing but maybe….

Why wouldn’t you just put Salah and all your best players on your bench

TC Salah this gw because I’m tired of shitty rank & still got other chips left. Surprisingly, I’m reluctant to change that even if they are away games.

    Anyone doing the same?

I am just doing some very basic bro-maths in my head. Like the General says... keep it simple.

I am essentially trying to decide between Sir Cody of house Gakpo vs. Slot. I was leaning towards Cody at this stage.

The LIKELY points outcomes for Slot... I think around 18 (either high scoring or clean sheet victories). I would say the absolute floor is around 11 or 12 points (a win not to nil and a draw). Ceiling is probably no more than 20 (even a 3-0 win over Everton and 1-0 over Bournemouth gives 20).

The Likely points outcome for Cody... well... who knows. Maybe 12 or 14? Floor is probably 3. Ceiling is likely 20 considering the opponent.

Based on this... are we mental for not just locking in Arne?

They could quite easily lose at Bournemouth & draw at Everton.

Bournemouth already beaten Arsenal & City at home & the last derby at Goodison will bring special magic.

Anyone going Moyes for manager? Liverpool are well over 5 places above & you have to fancy them beating Leicester at home.

A win & a draw & that’s a successful chip no even before they play Palace & United at home?

Would expect at least 2 CS in the 4 games.

I think people are just too crazy about moyes for the AM. To me he will lose all games though

Losing all of Leicester, Liverpool, United at home & Palace away?

He’s got a new manager bounce happening.

Yes losing all. Theres no such thing as new manager bounce. The game vs brighton was just plain lucky. And they are so thin in their attack tbh. At most out of those games probably they can draw or win lei. But the rest nah.

Debatable, plenty of teams have an uptick of form when they change managers, that’s why clubs fire & hire when results don’t go well.

There's absolutely no way I'm using this chip on Moyes. I just don't see Everton getting a result against Liverpool and Leicester on the back of a good result away to Spurs isn't as straight forward as everyone thinks either.

Everton are on the back of good results against Spurs & Brighton.

I'll keep this simple. Everton won't be favs for 3 of their 4 games with assman but if they beat Leicester they potentially won't qualify for table bonus in any game bar Liverpool. And they don't tend to score many goals so even that Leicester game has a low ceiling in my mind.

Just to throw it out there, by my understanding isn’t it pointless playing the chip on a top manager because of league position & better to gamble on team lower down the table with more score to score bigger points?

A repeat of last years win at Goodison v Liverpool would be big points no?

Putting it on someone like Slot, is that better than putting it on Trent or Gakpo? Not so sure, it’ll be like using a TC on 2 difficult fixtures with regards to point potential.

Appreciate that others may have sussed out the best use of the chip but looking at FPL team, I’m not so sure what’s read on here lines up,

A top manager will be better probably (budget aside) than a Moyes or Potter or whoever if the fixtures aren't table bonus ones.

Nah if you don't have any then I wouldn't make transfers to get one. I've had Mykolenko luckily(?) for many weeks now and not planning on bringing anyone else from Everton

Everton defence will be highly owned for the double.

I prioritise a defender over Ndiaye, plus it saves you the inevitable transfer to get rid of him later.
